Great stay, convenient location. Just what I need after a long day working. Thank you

I used to like Travelodge hotels, but they seem to have lost the plot now. This one is especially grim. There's just a Costa and a Burger King nearby so nowhere for breakfast. There was a nice chap on reception when we checked in, just as well as I had to go straight back to reception for some tea bags - none in the room - and then back again for a tv remote - none in the room. As it happens, we didn't watch the tv as it only received 2 channels. and those only sporadically. The following morning we left the "Top me up" card on the door well before 11.00am but when we returned in the evening the card was still there and we had no tea bags or milk.

Terrible! As a single female customer I appreciate being put in the room next to the reception, yet didn’t appreciate the receptionist say my room number loudly in front of males at the check in, this could’ve been more discreet. The hotel room smells of an old peoples home. I can hear every movement that’s happening upstairs from conversations to when they’ve gone to the toilet. Remote is dirty, no additional lock on the door. Services are nearby for food, but even the hotels vending machine was out of order so no means to get anything after 10pm when the services shut. For the price compared to Bristol I was happy with the compromise for a decent sleep, but never again.

Nice location and friendly staff but this is a very outdated site. Desperately needs a refurb. Only stayed for the one night thankfully

Dirty tired bathroom, bulbs blown, remotes not working. This whole hotel needs knocking down and starting again. Expensive machines. no cafe.

Any faults with the premises are common to travelodges and should not be blamed on the staff, the manager in particular regularly goes above and beyond with limited manpower and resources. Corporate travelodge should fund regular deep cleaning and schedule more frequent maintenance and upgrades at all properties, after all they're still issuing key fobs and actual door keys into rooms that seem to have been last decorated circa 1992. These hotels are only worth staying in at dirt cheap rates because of the amazing staff and after a very cautious inspection. There are some mould issues because of the age of the installations, particularly in some bathrooms, as well as rust. Even the youngest housekeeper knew to check that the disabled alarm cord was fitted to the floor and there's provision for the HoH and Deaf. However because of the age, the accessible room still had a bath. Some breadth and turning issues with a power chair. There's no lift to the upstairs room and unless you've the auditory ability, patience, energy and time to persist with a national telephone line to specify your needs then it's very much a room lottery. (Their IT skills also evident in the fact that the link to cross post a review to TripAdvisor doesn't work either). The staff on-site will apologise profusely but again this could be easily handled by corporate in a more efficient manner, especially as many other chains manage to do so via email and directly to the specific hotel. Overall worth risking a biscuit for simply because of the manager and staff. To them, thank you. :)

We have stayed here many times and are always sure of a warm welcome. The hotel is very convenient for travel to and from places on each side of the Severn River and is situated in a very quiet, yet easily accessible, spot.

Very disappointing stay at this Travelodge for business last week. Allocated a room just off the main reception on the ground floor. The lighting in this room was very dim and worsened by the bedside wall lights, one had a permanent flicker while the second didn’t work. The light in the entrance was very dim with a lamp cover full of dead insects. The handwash holder in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. Worse was the sheet on the bed which literally just about covered the mattress top. As soon as you got in bed it was creasing and screwed up. A very uncomfortable nights sleep. This travelodge is in need of some serious attention.
