Hotel vicini a Camara Municipal de Angra do Heroismo a Terceira Island

My partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

Nice, modern hotel, and we had a very nice updated room with lovely views of the ocean and the Fort. Pretty good breakfast too. Free parking so you can walk about 10 minutes to get to the heart of the old town for shopping and restaurants. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only very small thing we didn’t love was that to get to our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk by the open door of the gym - typical gym smells emanating so wish they would have left the door to the gym closed. Other than that, a great stay!

Premessa: non l’ho scelto, ma era nelle tappe di un viaggio “Fly and drive”. E’ un bell’albergo, che porta i suoi anni in modo ancora decoroso. Pulito, con le sue simpatiche piscine, ha personale affabile e gentile. Ha uno sviluppo architettonico in verticale, per questo il piano -1 offre ad est la vista mare, ad ovest la vista muro, non esattamente piacevole. Aspetto positivo i 2 piani interrati di garage gratuito, anche se per accedervi non si deve avere una auto di grandi dimensioni. Colazione soddisfacente.

Ons beste verblijf van de 6 Azoreneilanden/ Our best stay of the 6 Azores isles We verbleven slechts 2 nachten op 7 en 8 juni in een junior suite. Zeer ruim met een verblijfsruimte en bijhorende kleine keuken, slaapruimte met erg ruime bedden, badkamer en terras met uitzicht op de oceaan. 2 televisies aanwezig. Gebruik gemaakt van het buitenzwembad en van het bubbelbad. Erg vriendelijke receptie. Prima buffetontbijt met zeer grote keuze, ook aan vers fruit. De waren werden telkens opnieuw aangevuld. Het hotel ligt vlak iets boven de oceaan. Ertussen is er een 'wandelbaan' langs waar je op ca 10' stappen in het centrum van Praia komt met o.m. het O pescador restaurant. Zo kan je je auto bij het hotel laten staan en heb je gelegenheid om de Azoriaanse wijnen te proeven. Het was veruit ons beste verblijf en ontbijt van onze 6 bezochte eilanden (Sao Miguel,,Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico en Faial). We hadden er normaal een dag langer willen verblijven maar onze planning voor de binnenvluchten en bootverbindingen liet en dit niet toe, daar er niet alle dagen vlieg- en bootverbindingen met alle eilanden (na Terceira, Graciosa) zijn. Komen we ooit terug naar de Azoren, dan is het in de eerste plaats Terceira , met de Atlantida Mar. We stayed in a junior suite for just 2 nights on the 7th and 8th of June. Very spacious with a lounge and associated small kitchen, sleeping area with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with a view of the ocean. 2 televisions available. Made use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. Very friendly reception. Excellent buffet breakfast with a large choice, including fresh fruit. The goods were constantly replenished. The hotel is located just above the ocean. In between there is a 'walking track' along which you reach the center of Praia after about 10 steps, including the O pescador restaurant. For example, you can leave your car at the hotel and you have the opportunity to taste the Azorian wines. It was by far our best stay and breakfast of our 6 islands visited (Sao miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial). Normally we would have liked to stay there one day longer, but our planning for the internal flights and boat connections did not allow this, as there are not all days flight and boat connections with all islands (after Terceira, Graciosa). If we ever come back to the Azores, it will be Terceira in the first place, with the Atlantida Mar.

Struttura posizionata in altura a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Angra do Heroísmo. La struttura si presenta nuova luminosa ed elegante negli arredi. Camere dotate di tutti i confort con letti comodi, bagno con cabina doccia, set di cortesia e asciugacapelli. Ottima la biancheria con cambio giornaliero degli asciugamani. A disposizione cassaforte, e bollitore d'acqua con caffè solubile a disposizione, come the' e bustine di zucchero. TV al plasma (non ci sono canali italiani). Ottima la pulizia in tutta la struttura. Colazione a buffet superlativa con ampia scelta di prodotti sia dolci che salati. Molto gentile e cortese la ragazza adetta al servizio nella sala colazioni. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!

Location in heart of city can't be beat, at least not in mid price range: surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff could not be nicer, always available and eager to help. A lady who works hard to keep breakfast food stocked, and there's a delicious cake/sweetbread on offer. Small but clean, efficient room, and I had a Juliet balcony overlooking Rua da Rosa; photo of town harbor as wall art. I had a nice sized bathroom and shower; a tripmate complained of a tiny, flooding shower, so maybe I was lucky. Would be nice to have a small area somewhere with a set of dumbbells just to keep in shape, especially with all the irresistible food around.
