This capsule hostel located in Tanah Rata Cameron Highland, friendly front desk, good location with affordable price. Below the hostel have Malay restaurants, convenient stores and Watson pharmacy. The accommodation is tidy and clean, it's great that bathroom is separated for male & female. Recommended for solo & budget travellers.

My stay at Sleepbox was very pleasant. The location is great. I felt safe in a female dormitory. The guys at the reception they are really helpful and friendly. But the fan sound in Female dormitory was so loud and annoying. I hope that can be fixed. Overall this is a place to stay if you are in Cameron highlands,about 5 minutes walk from the Intercity bus station!

Wir haben 3 Nächte im Doppelbett im Dorm gebucht. Die Box war mit Steckdosen, Ventilator, Spiegel und einem Vorgang ausgestattet. Außerdem gab es ein sehr großes abschließbares Gepäckfach. Die Federmatratze war leider nicht übermäßig bequem, aber für ein paar Nächte in Ordnung. Badezimmer waren sauber, es gab warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Es gab einen kleinen Gemeinschaftsbereich mit Balkon, hier wurden Wasser und Tee kostenlos angeboten. Frühstück gab es hingegen nicht (Mikrowelle, Toaster und Wasserkocher sind jedoch vorhanden). Über das Hostel können Touren zu angemessenen Preisen gebucht werden. Handtücher können für 4RM ausgeliehen werden. Waschmaschine und Trocker sind zum self Service vorhanden (je 8RM). Insgesamt hatten wir einen guten Aufenthalt im Sleepbox Hotel, man muss sich jedoch bewusst sein, dass man im Schlafsaal mit über 30 Betten schläft. (bei uns war es nicht zu laut, allerdings war es auch nicht komplett ausgebucht).

Die Lage war sehr gut, das Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Das Bett war sauber und sehr bequem. Man hatte alles was man brauchte, das Hostel hat gemeinsame trips geplant. Allem in allem würde ich immer wieder kommen

Stayed two nights here on my recent backpacking trip through Malaysia. A pretty good hostel. The dorms are large, co-ed dorms where each bunk is its own unit (including privacy curtain). Large lockers under the bed that can hold big backpacks. Plenty of bathrooms and showers, so there was never a wait. Decent common area with a nice terrace overlooking the street. My stay here was rather pleasant and I would recommend.

Staff very helpful and kind when my tour ended later than expected, meaning I was unable to check-out on time

This place is best for staying for the solo traveler and you can meet each other guest from other country and the staff also friendly then the place is near the convenience store and also restaurants

BED BUGS!!! Beware of this place, they’re infested with bed bugs at this time, yuck!!!! We had to wake up to them in our capsules, ruined hostels for me 😩 the refunded the remainder of our stay but not the whole amount of our bill, we left immediately.

I stayed there one night. During the night I found plenfy of bedbugs in and around my bed. I woke up because they bited me many times almost everywhere onmy body. I killed like around one hundret of bedbugs during this night, it was terrible. In the morning I told it to the receptionist. I wanted some compensation. He told me they can refu d me my money, but I have to cancel booking at ***********. They pushed me, so I did it. When I said this experience with bedbugs to others guests, receptionist tried to humiliate me. He said it was my fault, or it is not that terrible, I just have too sensitive skin etc... After all, it was one of my worst night in many months I have been traveling. And the worst experience from Malaysia.
