Hotel in zona Blacktown South Croatian Catholic Church, Sydney

Il nostro piano parcheggio era pronto e dovevamo stare in un alloggio vicino a casa. La vicinanza al complesso di shopping Top Ryde rende così facile godere di una varietà di ristoranti e cibi da scegliere. Non ho esitazione a raccomandare Studio 8. L'equipaggio di pulizia è profondo e eccellente con la loro attenzione ai dettagli.

It was quite expensive for the service. The staff were not very welcoming but pleasant enough. The highlights are you are camping on the harbor and the view is very pretty. At sunset the very large bats come out which is quite cool to see but they are very loud with each other. Here is somethings you should know. Both eateries close at 430 pm so plan accordingly for dinner. If you get the package that includes electricity it’s only on from 6pm-6am. The waterway is very active until dark then the row teams start at 0500 it might have been earlier but their coaches are very loud and aggressive. What a way to wake up. It was nice just manage your expectations.

La posizione è grande. Abbiamo una vista sul porto con una bella vista sul ponte del porto. Abbiamo anche avuto il piacere di ricevere il servizio all'ingresso e all'uscita. Sfortunatamente, siamo stati delusi di quanto la stanza fosse pulita. Il pulitore ovviamente dimenticava di pulire il bagno. Ha tinture sul sedile e nel bagno. Abbiamo trovato anche una bottiglia vuota di acqua di Mont Franklins che si trovava sotto il desk. Abbiamo soggiornato in hotel qualche volta prima, questa è la prima volta che siamo stati delusi dalla pulizia della stanza.

Avevo visitato la settimana della moda australiana e cercavo un posto dove stare a piacere. Non cercavo un alloggio di tipo studente Adina era la più vicina a Cariageworks e mi sorprendeva davvero. Non ho mai avuto nessuno che portasse i miei bagagli nella mia stanza in Australia! Ho offerto un consiglio e non accettavano. La stanza era immacolata, mi sentivo come la prima persona a usarla. Ho trovato la stanza molto tranquilla, anche se ha guardato la piscina. Ho detto che non bevo acqua fuori dal tappeto e quando sono tornato c'erano tre tin di acqua ancora sul tavolo della cucina. Non posso valutare Adina abbastanza. Congratulazioni, sarò di nuovo!

The location is unbeatable. It’s in the middle of CBD and only 10 min walk to circular Quay. We did not stay in the heritage room, instead, we chose the tower room. TBH, we expected nicer interior design. The furniture gave us an IKEA feel. Fullerton in both Singapore and HK is very nicely done. When we turned on the hot water for either shower or bath, it makes a screeching noise sometimes, which was not pleasant to hear. Anyway, the room is clean and the cleaning ladies were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was good too. Overall, the staff were really good!

I had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). We recently stayed at a hotel that perfectly suited our family needs! Located right in the heart of the CBD, it was close to everywhere we needed to be. The nearby supermarket and restaurants made dining and shopping convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful especially Sir Jandro, the hotel manager and Ms Arglie, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with excellent service!!

L'hotel è stato pulito con personale amichevole. Le camere erano spaziose con grandi serrature per ogni occupante e le luci di cottura e letto laterali in una posizione molto grande. Docce/toilette in ogni piano e non ho mai dovuto aspettare di usarle. Il piano inferiore è che si può sentire la musica dal loro club di fondazione anche al 6° piano fino a tardi nella notte. Non mi ha disturbato perché ero solo poche notti e sono riuscito a dormire abbastanza. La cucina è troppo piccola per la quantità di ospiti nell'ostello. Le manifestazioni sociali che l'ostello ha organizzato sono un buon modo per incontrare le persone come una sola donna viaggiatore.

We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Our room was quiet & clean even if in need of a refurbish, which presumably, going by the building works going on, is in progress. The building works didn't impinge on our stay at all. Our breakfast (which was included in our room rate), was surprisingly good. The area it was served in was very clean and bright. We found all the staff to be pleasant. Being able to checkin & checkout on line made things move quicker, especially the checkout. The cost of accommodation in the city is very high so we were pleased that Song Hotel was a bit more affordable to us.

On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???
