For the price, the stay was okay. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was just okay. The bar service was not active and there is no restaurant on the premises to have lunch or dinner. During my stay it was raining heavily so it was inconvenient to leave the hotel to get food. The pool and view is beautiful. The location is great too. Walking distance to the walking street.

I recently stayed at Lisha Hotel, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The bathroom had a constant foul odor, and the plumbing system was a nightmare. Every time I took a shower, the water would flood all over the bathroom, reaching the toilet and sink. To make matters worse, there was a big gaping hole under the sink that allowed lizards and bugs to come into my room, which was unacceptable. Despite claiming to be a four-star hotel, Lisha Hotel fell far short of that standard. I would rate it as a two-star hotel at best, and I would give it a mere one star based on my experience. The staff at the hotel were not helpful at all. They lacked English language skills and were unfriendly. When I asked about train tickets, they claimed it was all sold out, even though I later found out that I could easily purchase them at the train station myself. Their misinformation and unhelpful attitude made my experience in Laos very difficult, and it has left me with no desire to visit the country again. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend booking at Lisha Hotel. The foul odor, plumbing issues, lack of cleanliness, unhelpful staff, and poor customer service are not reflective of a four-star hotel, and it did not meet my expectations. I would advise looking for alternative accommodations to avoid similar disappointments during your stay in Laos.

The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and it was nice to spend an afternoon by the pool near the mountains. The room was also nice, but there were quite a few bugs and ants crawling all over the toilet seat.
Most of the other guests were either Laotion or Chinese, I was the only farang. The staff in the reception were very helpful and kind, however the other guests also enjoyed loudly talking about me assuming that I didn't know they were talking about me. However, it is fairly common knowledge that farang means foreigner, and a few other things they were saying were the same as the Thai words that I know. This did prevent my stay being as relaxing as it could, as I did then avoid busy areas, as I don't particularly want to be laughed at simply for being a farang woman.
The staff in the restaurant also don't speak any English, this is not a problem, just something to be aware of, Google translate solved most issues.

I had an incredible experience staying at Amari Vang Vieng. The hotel is beautifully designed and provides a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was witnessing the sunrise with breathtaking views surrounded by balloons from the balcony.
The room was spacious and clean, and the swimming pool was another plus, allowing me to relax and enjoy the views. The restaurant next to the pool offers delicious food, I highly recommend it!
The breakfast was amazing, with a large variety of dishes that were very tasty. Overall, I had an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend Amari Vang Vieng to anyone visiting this lovely town.

Stiamo soggiornando qui in un viaggio a Deal viaggio dall'Australia. Ci siamo stati molto piacevolmente sorpresi dalla qualità dell'hotel. Le camere sono pulite e spaziose con vista stupenda sulle montagne. Ci è una splendida piscina per nuotare e il colazione è grande. Air con e acqua calda funzionavano bene nelle nostre camere.

We chose to stay here as our hostel in Vientiane recommended it. We only planned to stay for two night but ended up extending another 3 nights. It’s in a great location. The room was big and spacious and were cleaned everyday for us with fresh towels. Min and Dat at the front desk were excellent. Anything we needed whether it was the hot air balloon ticket, taxi or train ticket they were always so helpful and kind. Absolutely no issue with this place and for the price it was great.

In primo luogo, vicino a tutto, situato su una strada molto tranquilla! Avevamo una bella stanza angolare, molto luminosa, con una bella vista sulla città e sulle belle montagne. Il personale è super dolce! Il tizio che è incaricato del desk front è molto utile e parla eccellente inglese. L'hotel è un po' corto ma molto pulito e buoni letti, doccia calda, buon WiFi. Non abbiamo usato la piscina, l'acqua lì sembrava così. La colazione va bene, chiedi e ti daranno quello che vuoi. Gli serve un biglietto, ecc, la riparano. Puoi pagare con una carta. Ci siamo divertiti molto bene!

Io e mio marito abbiamo dormito una notte in questa struttura, molto grande, molto bella e pulita, ma fuori mano UBICAZIONE: La struttura è fuori dal centro di Vangvieng, tanto che per arrivarci si percorre una strada non asfaltata. Sicuramente andare a piedi in centro sarebbe lunga, non impossibile ma lunga, ma credo ci fosse la navetta dell'hotel Accanto scorre il fiume, che quando eravamo lì noi era abbastanza pieno a causa delle piogge. SERVIZIO : Ampio ingresso, ampia piscina in centro e la struttura si apre a ferro di cavallo. C'è una zona ristorante, con tavoli sia all'esterno che all'interno. C'è una zona relax con una spa e una piccola palestra. CAMERA : camera molto ampia, pulita, con un terrazzo con sedie e tavolino. C'era un piccolo divano con un tavolino davanti ad una grande TV al plasma. Nell'armadio c'era la cassaforte, degli accappatoi e le pantofole per la camera. C'erano due bottigliette d'acqua. Frigobar e anche noodles (a pagamento). Tegliera, tazze ed infusi gratuiti. Il BAGNO : Ampio, con una vasca con tenda veneziana che volendo si poteva alzare e vedere la camera. Mobile lavandino con necessaire. Phone a filo COLAZIONE:La sera noi avevamo cenato lì, mangiando bene, ovviamente ad un prezzo un po' più elevato di un normale ristorante in centro, ma senza eccessi. La colazione era molto varia, sia dolce e salata, con noodles, carne, dolci, area per le uova fatte al momento. RAPPORTO QUALITA' PREZZO : noi non abbiamo pagato perché eravamo con un'agenzia. Il prezzo era sui 100€ a notte. GIUDIZIO COMPLESSIVO : molto soddisfatta, anche se era molto fuori dal centro.

The room is equipped with expensive furniture made of real Lao wood. A basket with towels is provided for visiting the pool.
A variety of breakfasts, both European and Chinese.
On the terrace above the river, you can dine with a beautiful view and watch the soaring balloons and sunset.
We stayed on New Year's Eve, and the general manager Pethantat Polsena organized a gala dinner with great dishes, champagne, a raffle and fireworks.
Excellent guest oriented staff and excellent service!

UUtente ospiteQuesto hotel è situato sulle rive del fiume Chao Phraya. Alcune camere hanno la vista sul fiume. Il bar in alto al decimo piano ha una vista fantastica, ma non ci sono andato perché c'erano troppe persone. C'è un mercato notturno al piano terra dell'hotel che è molto comodo. Dista meno di 2 km dalle attrazioni dell'Arco di Trionfo e di That Luang. Le prese dell'hotel sono tutte rotonde, quindi ognuno deve portare il proprio convertitore. Non c'è molta varietà nella colazione. Lo svantaggio più grande è che la pressione dell'acqua fredda è troppo piccola e instabile. Quando si fa la doccia, sarà calda e fredda.

Anche la camera era molto spaziosa, pulita e confortevole.
La doccia era di tipo top, non portatile, e la quantità di acqua non era costante, rendendola un po' difficile da usare.
Prendo l'acqua tutti i giorni, ma c'erano giorni in cui non ricevevo l'acqua perché mi addormentavo tutto il giorno e non rifacevo la stanza. Sarò felice la prossima volta se posso far versare un asciugamano o dell'acqua sulla maniglia.
La posizione era buona, quindi vorrei usarla di nuovo.

UUtente ospiteCheck In Date : 29th August 2022. Check Out Date : 30th August 2022. Room : 505. Location : The hotel is located just 10mins walk from the main Vang Vieng Road. It is quite central and there is a small grocery shop in front of the hotel. We were walking from EK Mart and it is easy to just follow the main road and turn right on the temple with green statue. Then we reached the hotel which looks just amazing outside. But the area is quite quiet during the night. There is a small restaurant near the hotel which is frequented by the locals and the food is cheap but taste just as amazing. Reception and Lounge : The recep area is spacious and looks grand. The check in counter is small and there are soft cushions to relax while waiting for check in. The reception speaks good english and very helpful too. The whole area is spotlessly shiny. The guy working surprised me. When we parked our motorcycle right in front of the hotel for the night, the recep guy told us to bring the motorcycle inside. By inside, I mean, in the lounge area. It is the safest area to left the bike at night because it is right inside the building. Room : Room 505 is just spacious and grandiouse in terms of EVERYTHING. The size is massive, the bed is soft, the bathroom is big, the AC works well and the best part is the view. The 2 windows in the room gave us the best view of the mountains. We simply love it. It is highly refreshing knowing that I woke up seeing the karst mountain that made the backdrop of Vang Vieng town. The mattress are super soft and the free space is just crazy. The room can fit 3 double beds simply. We think we get more than what we paid. The fridge works well too. The lighting is also nice.' Facilities : This hotel is disabled friendly. It has a working elevator to reach the high floor and it has all the necessity to cater for the old person. The dining hall is located just next to the reception area and it has many tables too, good for chatting with other guests. The swimming pool is located at the far end of the recep area and it is medium in size. There are several chairs provided there. I was swimming in the pool around 8pm, and was the only one. Breakfast : The choice is not much during our stay maybe because the occupancy is low. There are fried rice, porridge, bread, cereals, eggs and some sausages. The porridge taste super nice. Satisfaction : We are really satisfied with the hotel and through our stay. We highly recommend this hotel for other traveler.

I stayed at the Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort in Vang Vieng this summer. The resort boasts breathtaking views of Nam Ngum Lake, which we enjoyed from our spacious terrace. Visiting during the off-season meant fewer water activities but provided a serene atmosphere to appreciate nature. The resort features a lovely, often tranquil swimming pool. Dining was a highlight, offering table-served breakfasts and flavorful dinners, including traditional dishes like khao pad and paah savanh. While the resort's riverside location was idyllic, it did attract some night insects and lizards. Nevertheless, keeping the doors closed resolved this, adding to the soothing ambiance. Nearby hiking trails provided glimpses of local scenery, offering a peaceful escape into nature. Exploring the adjacent small village gave us insights into the local culture, including practices like fish drying and rooster fighting, though the latter has lost popularity. The resort is situated outside the city center but offers complimentary bicycles for exploration and a $18 pick-up/drop-off service at the train station. I recommend this resort to nature enthusiasts, even during the off-season. Its picturesque riverside setting is captivating, and there are numerous easy hiking trails to explore.

You also have the train station at 40 min walking We stayed in the atic apartment and was amazing. Huge beautiful apartment with amazing balcony and views of Vang Vieng mountains. You can see the sunset and air balloons from the bed The facilities are also really good! You have a really nice bar where the food is delicious ( also the breakfast ), swimming pool and the staff is so kind and helpful A must in Vang Vieng 💯

UUtente ospiteWer mit laut schreienden Chinesen Tag und Nacht auf den Fluren kein Problem hat, kann hier einchecken. Hier steigen chinesische Kurzurlauber in Massen ab, die noch nicht gelernt haben. sich zu benehmen. Vordrängeln beim Frühstück, rumrotzen im Aufzug oder rumspucken davor scheint für die normal zu sein. Davon abgesehen liegt der Nordwestflügel an der Walking-Street, einem beliebten Treffpunkt bis tief in die Nacht laut feiernder junger Europäer. Wenn eine Buchung, dann nach Möglichkeit weit weg davon, sonst ist an Schlaf nicht zu denken. Klimaanlage (in groém Zimmer 2 Geräte) sehr gut.

We stayed here for two nights and the hotel itself was okay. Our room had previously had a large water damage on the ceiling which showed, but other than that it was fine. However you should not visit this hotel if you appreciate good service-minded management. Previous to our stay we had booked a hot air balloon ride through the management of the hotel. We had originally looked at another air balloon company but were persuaded by the hotel manager to book through her instead, as she claimed the trip would last for 1 hour instead of half an hour, which she claimed the other companies’ did. We paid the price as agreed upon and were extremely disappointed when the air balloon descended after only 30 minutes. Upon asking the manager about this, she suddenly changed her mind and said that her recommendation was based on a personal experience, where she was flown around for an hour. We made it clear that we expected a price reduction as we were not provided with the full experience we had paid for and that her guidance had been misleading. This she abruptly refused to give back part of the money and she became very unpleasant. She started answering back flippantly and ignoring our responses. We were supposed to leave the hotel a few hours later through a minibus, which she had booked for us, and suddenly she started threatening us to cancel the minibus and not help us with anything. Finally she decided to give us a 5$ price reduction (which is nothing considering we paid 95$). Definitely not a recommendation from here, which is a shame since the rest of the staff were nice.

UUtente ospiteLe camere sono medie, ma non sono speciali, alcune camere sono state altrettanto belle o migliori nella zona. C'è stato un problema con l'acqua calda che durò 12 ore, l'acqua si è trasformata marrone e si è profumata disgustosa. Non c'era comunicazione dall'hotel su questo, dovevamo controllare con loro per essere detto che sarebbe stato guardato più tardi nel giorno. Il terreno e la piscina sono buoni, ma un po' scorrere. Il colazione era buono. Il cibo a buffet e le bevande calde sono rimasti in uscita e i clienti dovranno chiedere di più e poi aspettare. Abbiamo fatto due bagagli di lavanderia all'hotel e solo uno era stato riportato così tempo sprecato cercando di rintracciare i vestiti che finalmente abbiamo. Abbiamo chiesto alla ricezione di prenotare un TukTuk per arrivare alla stazione del treno l'ultimo giorno, ma non ci hanno prenotato questo e abbiamo aspettato 15 minuti per un altro, causandoci quasi a mancare il nostro treno. Il personale di ricezione non si accoglie e fa il minimo. Non consigliere.

We found many insects during our stay, which is understandable given Vang Vieng is pretty much surrounded by jungle and it was a rainy night. However, we were waken up by a GIANT cockroach, and there were no staff or housekeeper to handle the situation in the middle of the night, so we have to handle it ourselves.
Breakfast was nice and you get to enjoy it on the river bank is a plus.
