Mantra Crown Towers

Room was in need of some serious maintenance. Room was dirty. There was dry mandarin skin on the window ledge in the bedroom behind the curtain. The curtains had holes in them, they were falling off the rails. TV remote was found shoved between the couch cushions. No bedside lamps in the main bedroom. Highlight was the indoor and outdoor pool.

We spent 6 nights at the crown mantra with an ocean view family room. Our room /apartment was like the size of a house. Lots of space, 2 bathrooms, TVs in each room large kitchen, lots of lounge space. 2 seperate lounge areas. Large dinning area. We were so surprised with how spacious it was. Our view was spectacular. Customer service was friendly, wonderful central place to stay on surfers paradise. So so happy with our accommodation choice would definitely recommend

Great service and helpful with advice to go and eat,how to get there from bus, trams or automobiles. The accommodation were clean and comfortable and the inside pool and gym were great. The outside pool was set up like a beach resort with its own deck chairs

We have stayed at this Mantra hotel previously, and really enjoyed our stays with our families in the past, prompting us to book it for our 'minimoon' for a few nights after our wedding. It was actually the worst hotel stay I have ever had, and I have travelled extensively. We were given a room on the 5th floor, overlooking a construction zone. I am well aware that the construction is out of the control of the hotel, however we booked this stay 9 months ago, and the hotel were well aware of the special circumstances of our stay. I'm not one to look for any 'extras' ever, however, given what I stay was for, I thought some consideration would be given for a room choice, but apparently not. We were awoken each morning by around 6am with the workmen outside calling out to each other and moving vehicles and machinery around, and beginning the work at around 6:45am. No sleep ins were afforded us. We weren't on a holiday to get up early and go and do things, we were just married, and wanting to lay in bed, sleep in, recover from a crazy few weeks. Upon arrival, we literally slipped through the room door, as the tiles in the room, ALL of the tiles, were so slippery, we could literally skate on them with our shoes on. It was like whoever had mopped had used far too much cleaner and not rinsed it off. Either that or something was spilt on the floor and cleaned up very poorly. The air conditioning vent between the bedroom and bathroom was filthy, full of dust and cobwebs, and the air conditioner was on the whole time we were there, due to the humidity and the temperature. We woke up each morning with stuffy noses and clogged up in our heads, I can only assume due to the huge amount of dust circulating in the room. On the back of the sliding door heading from the bedroom to the bathroom, I thought it was full of mould. Upon closer inspection it was MORE dust, clinging to the door, that looked like it had been there for months. Uncleaned. The space around the taps on the bathroom sink hadn't been cleaned for goodness knows how long, there was grime build up around the taps and spout, that seemed unhygienic. I also found what appeared to be food, or used tissue/toilet paper under the hand soap dispenser. I did try to remove it, however pushed it further under as I couldn't get it out. The windows and sliding doors were disgusting, you could hardly see out the windows due to the grime. I understand there is construction out there that can cause some issues, but not the build up that was clearly evident on the windows and in the photos and videos I took of this. Out on that balcony, there was moss growing on it, and plants growing out of the drains and corners of it. The balcony also clearly had not been cleaned in some time. On the Tuesday night when we got back to the room, there were cockroaches (two of them) in the kitchen, one in the sink, and one on the kitchen bench near the sink. Gross. We had no food in the room up to that point, and only emptie

Excellent location - close to beach and trams and the pools are fantastic. Family friendly hotel. We stayed with our two kids (5 and 2) and we all had a great time. It's not a 5 star hotel in terms of the hotel rooms, but the pools, location, on site Thai restaurant, pool cafe all make for a great family holiday. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time in the room so didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb. It did the job and had all the basics we needed - a place to sleep and eat the odd meal. We spent most of time out of the room exploring and swimming. The reception staff were fantastic on check in. Our allocated car spot was too tight for our car so we popped back up and they switched our spots to one that was easier to get into.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. So overpriced!! The reception lobby is dark no lights on at all. it feels empty and huge spaces where they used have bars and cafes are just left deserted. The rooms have paint chipping literally everywhere and chunks out of walls(see photos) the tiles in floor are cracked. The furniture is so dated. Beds sank in the middle and the whole place felt dirty. Weird smell in rooms and hallways. It’s like is a neglected hotel for demolition! Location is good and pool is good but it was definitely not well kept. Motels we have stayed at have more modern furniture and upkeep. Mantra are stopping the ball big time on all their properties it’s so sad! The location is good but would never recommend it.

Thank you to the team at Mantra! My family and I had a great holiday! Regardless of the wet weather, we were able to really enjoy our time, relaxing in the room and swimming in the indoor pool. The location is walking distance to the main town centre where there is plenty to see and do in all different weather situations. Our 3 bedroom apartment was perfect! Spacious enough for all 6 of us to have our own space and equipped enough to cater for us all in the lounge room, dining area and balcony (for the airshow) The apartment was clean and fresh and well maintained. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and efficient in service. This hotel has become our go to Holiday accommodation morning forward! We can't wait to return... and we will be booking to stay longer!!

Great facilities for kids and spacious rooms. Run down though - we had no hot water when we first arrived, and didn’t have any for 24hours. Wifi didn’t work, toilet was broken. Staff however were accommodating in trying to remediate these issues.

When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. Our apartment was a 1 bedroom fuy contained unit. All cery clean & tidy. The pool was amazing and so was the little kiosk. Also the Thai restaurant next door. My only Quibble would be it could do with a bar.
