The Sunset Inn

What a lovely and peaceful inn! It seemed to lack in nothing! Comfortable room, bed, sofa, lovely views and amenities, great porch rockers to enjoy the sea breezes, and delicious homemade breakfasts. Andrea and her staff have left no stone unturned to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

This was the third time I have visited the Inn. The view over the marshes is outstanding. It is located within walking distance of the beach and pier. The atmosphere is laid back and very casual. Our hosts are very cordial and outgoing. Excellent rooms with pretty much all you need. The area around the Inn has a lot to do including Calabash. The breakfast was good. This is just a great place to go and unwind. Enjoy!

I can’t begin to express my gratitude for the support and kindness from everyone at the Sunset Inn. The Inn itself is a delightful experience and has mastered the art of hospitality. Beyond their breakfast and thoughtful accommodations, they are also just good people. We enjoyed our visit so much and are thankful for our time there.

Above and beyond the usual stay from anywhere else. Beautiful room that stayed cold, unlike most places. Spacious room multiple dressers, large bathroom. Nice screened in sitting patio, chairs out front as well. Hosts were very friendly and breakfast was charming. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a nice treat.

My wife and I were looking to explore a little of the east coast beaches when I found the Sunset Inn. A lovely place with wonderful hosts! The location is perfect for a quiet few days away, rooms are nicely done, and their breakfast is everything we need. Attention to detail and friendly at every encounter.

The room was clean, roomy and had all the necessities; the view over the marsh from the wooden rocking chairs on the individual screened porch was spectacular--especially for bird-watching. Instructions were clear and precise, from reservation through checkout. The staff was friendly and efficient, while not being obtrusive. We especially enjoyed the wet bar adjacent to the fridge for preparing our evening gin and tonic. All of the equipment worked flawlessly. The shower was particularly nice and robust and the fluffy white towels pristine. The breakfast room was clean, airy and bright; trays were provided for carrying breakfast to the room, if desired. A fresh-baked breakfast bread (e.g. cranberry, cinnamon streusel), hot oatmeal, boiled eggs and a hot dish (e.g. spinach frittata with bacon) were available each morning--made on the premises--along with usual juice, coffee, yogurt cereal, etc. Excellent management and oversight were evident throughout our four-night stay; every light, plumbing fixture and electronic device worked as intended, showing careful attention to detail. As old and jaded travelers, we were very favorably impressed (and comfortable).
