Hotel 4 stelle a Takayama

Yuu 游 is an amazing ryokan. We (family of 4) had a very nice two nights' stay there. The Japanese style breakfast (you can choose western or Japanese, but obviously Japanese style is the winner) & dinner included in the package is simply amazing! And be sure to try Takayama Sake too. It goes so well with Hida beef:) just can't get enough. To get there from Takayama JR station (bus station there too), be sure to board the bus that goes to ipposui. We didn't rent a car because we are not used to driving in snowy weather. But everyone working in Yuu is super friendly, even drives us for a short trip out... And of course, the onsen is amazing too! Unfortunately stay there!

The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Takayama Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the old town, morning markets, and nearby attractions. The rooms are modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Despite being close to the station, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night’s rest. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities provided made the stay feel smooth and relaxing. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with recommendations for food and sightseeing around Takayama. Their hospitality really made the experience feel welcoming. Overall, Relax Hotel Takayama Station offers great value with excellent comfort and convenience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Takayama—whether for sightseeing or a short stopover. I would definitely stay here again! 🌿🏨✨

Super conveniently located just next to Takayama Station and right beside the Nohi Bus Terminal, making it an excellent base for getting around especially by public transport to Shirakawa go or Toyama or Nagoya. Unlike many hotels in Japan with compact room sizes, this hotel offers a more spacious setup, complete with a kitchen, cooking utensils, and even a washer-dryer — perfect for longer stays or added comfort. It is also within easy walking distance to Miyagawa Morning Market and Takayama Old Town, with plenty of Hida beef restaurants nearby for a great local dining experience.

L'hotel è situato in fondo alla strada secondaria vicino all'ingresso del villaggio di Hirayu Onsen. Ci vogliono circa 5-10 minuti a piedi. Chiama l'hotel in anticipo e un'auto ti verrà a prendere alla stazione degli autobus di Hirayu Onsen solo 2 minuti, la strada è bagnata nei giorni di neve ed è scivolosa, il che è molto utile per noi che trasciniamo i trolley. La suite in stile giapponese è relativamente spaziosa, con un piccolo balcone, il bagno e il lavabo sono stanze separate e dispone anche di una sorgente termale privata di 2-3 metri quadrati. Le sorgenti termali ricche di ferro possono essere bevute direttamente. Nel complesso pulito e ordinato! All'esterno delle finestre a tutta altezza c'è un piccolo balcone, affacciato direttamente sul fitto bosco, con ottima privacy. La cena e la colazione per un soggiorno di una notte e due pasti vengono serviti in camera. La cena è un piatto da banchetto a base di manzo Hida Wagyu, sia shabu-shabu che alla griglia. Anche la colazione giapponese è estremamente ricca. Il personale di servizio è cordiale e amichevole durante il ritiro e la riconsegna. Dopo il check-in, difficilmente si vede nessuno. Finché chiami il 9 sulla linea interna, puoi arrivare alla porta della stanza praticamente in due o tre minuti . Anche se il prezzo è un po' caro, ne vale la pena e l'esperienza è fantastica!

Stay was worth every penny. Hotel was located very close to train station and bus station so travelling to and out from it was convenient. Check in process was fast and easy to understand. They even had tea ready during checkin Room was decently sized and very clean. I arrived during spring and the beds were so comfortable and warm The highlight of the hotel has got to be the onsen. They have both private onsen that you can book for an hour and common onsen. If you go around midnight (the onsens are open till 1am), its completely empty and you can enjoy it all for yourself. Word of warning though, you can probably be seen if you're standing close to the edge of the public open air onsen so maybe dont do that (or do whatever floats your boat). After the onsen you can help yourself to free drinks and snacks They had beautiful sakura blossoms during that time, and a public foot bath that can be enjoyed by all. I loved my stay here and will definitely return if I have a chance.

Servizi: Sebbene la camera fosse piccola, era dotata di tutti i comfort necessari. Servizio: L'hotel offre curry gratuito dalle 18:00 alle 19:00 nei giorni feriali (non disponibile nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi). Se soggiornate più notti e non necessitate della pulizia della camera, l'hotel fornisce una bottiglia di acqua minerale. Tuttavia, le scritte giapponesi indicano ”tè” o ”birra”. Ho chiesto in giapponese e la reception mi ha fornito una bottiglia di tè. Il giorno dopo, tuttavia, l'acqua minerale è stata lasciata sulla porta. Hotel room was clean and spacious, had everything that we needed for the night. Room was a little warm and stuffy. Hotel staff service was good, even with the presence of a language barrier. Breakfast and dinner were honestly subpar, don't expect a whole buffet for you. Dinner felt like it was reheated. Breakfast was underwhelming. Onsen was nice and spacious.

Questo era un posto così bello per rimanere. La stanza era bella e spaziosa, permettendoci di sentirci a casa. Non solo ci sono state curate con bellissime colazione e cena, ma il personale è stato estremamente utile quando abbiamo parlato con loro di camminare a Kamokochi. Raccomando vivamente di prenotare questo posto, soprattutto con un piano di pranzo, perché è stato bello avere cibo ordinato dopo la camminata tutto il giorno.
