There is also a Tavern across the street, the patrons have lots of fun and it can be LOUD so if you are sensitive to noise you may want to book another place farther out of town. Only two blocks from the The Horse Gulch Trail System which offers world class mountain biking and hiking trails... a great place to hike dogs. Durango Natural Foods Grocery is right across the street as well as several other breakfast, lunch and coffee shops. The short walk to downtown is along 6th street which is full of eclectic shops and restaurants. Close enough to walk to the train station, or up to the college. With a location like this, the car is optional, but if you have one there is an off street parking spot just steps away from the front door.
