If you want to venture outside the Estuary, our gated community, you can walk or bike (we have 3 adult bikes for your use) to Fish Haul Beach (12-15 minute walk). This is a small beach with public restrooms on Port Royal Sound. Larger swimming beaches nearby - such as Folly Field and Burke's beaches - are about a 5-7 minute drive. Other points of interest within walking distance are Mitchelville Freedom Park and Fort Howell for the history buffs among you. The new Estuary community is located in the "heel" of Hilton Head island. This location is close to the bridge that takes you to the mainland - Bluffton and beyond, but only a15-18 minute drive to Coligny Beach.
