"The location is really great, there is an enormous shopping mall with all the stuff and the sea is in close proximity.
The building feels a little outdated, but the view and location are superior. There is a little kitchen for you to cook your stuff, but there are also many options to eat in the nearby restaurants.
Overall, it is a really good choice for this location, the sea view is questionable, but believe me, you better walk a little to see the sea yourself. Skyscraper's view is also really amazing!"

È stato un vero peccato che non ci fosse l'aria condizionata durante il nostro soggiorno (siamo stati lì per 3 notti e a quanto pare l'aria condizionata sarebbe tornata attiva solo il giorno della nostra partenza, il 3 giugno). The hygiene standards are relatively good. The sea view from the window matches exactly the picture provided by the hotel. The only downside that came to mind was the wet floor in the bathroom. When showering, water tended to spray outside the shower booth, so you may need to be careful as it can get a bit slippery."

"Consigli per trovare un alloggio:
Andate a sinistra del MixC Mall e vedrete l'edificio MicX Upper. Salite al 10° piano per il check-in. Probabilmente ci sono più alloggi nello stesso edificio, quindi ho avuto difficoltà a trovare quello giusto, il che è stato un po' confusionario.
Durante il mio soggiorno di due notti, la camera è stata pulita e rifornita di acqua e asciugamani, il che è stato soddisfacente. IIuliia TrIt is nice and romantic place. Very good location. After a long walk trip, we are very tired and it was pleasure to see movies at projector, I love it too much. There is small kitchen but it is impossible to cook, because there is no kitchen tableware, only knifes. I love Dyson in bath. There was only one disadvantage is a towel, there were not normal towels, only small one use towel. Everything was nice, thank you!

AAnxious but kindI recently stayed at the Hanting Hotel on Chongqing South Road in Qingdao and had a delightful experience as a solo traveler. Choosing a superior queen room, I found it to be both comfortable and well-equipped, offering excellent value for the price.
Upon arrival, the check-in process was smooth, with the staff being exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even providing helpful tips about local attractions. My room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, with a cozy queen-size bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The room's amenities, including a flat-screen TV, reliable Wi-Fi, and essential toiletries, made my stay even more convenient and comfortable.
One of the highlights of my visit was the breakfast. The spread was impressive, featuring a blend of both Chinese and Western options that catered to various preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of fresh fruits, which were a perfect start to my day. Fantastic stay. The staff are absolutely amazing. Super friendly and welcoming. The room was large and clean. Only downside was that there was still a little cigarette smell in the room (despite being non-smoking), but it's China - getting away from cigarette smell is nigh impossible. Normally I would penalize for this, but the staff were just so great we couldn't fault the place.
The location was around a 5 minute walk from metro, and then 40 minutes into downtown area. For some this might be too much, but for the price we found it a good trade off. My wife fell ill the 2nd day, so we spent the day around the area instead of going downtown, and it turned into one of the best days of our 6 week trip (ignoring the illness!).
I would implore any (international) visitor to spend a day in the area around here. It is a side of China which you don't see in visiting the main centers, and it was a real eye opener in terms of the development of the country - it doesn't have the bling, but we found the people in this area to be some of the most genuinely inquisitive, friendly and welcoming people on our trip. The characteristics of the citizens of the area was exemplified by the staff at the hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Il quartiere ha molti posti per pranzo e cena. Solo pochi isolati da oltre 100 ristoranti. Il quartiere si sentiva sicuro e un po' tranquillo dopo le 9:00. Quantità giusta di rumore di giorno che si prevede. Aircon era forte che era importante per me. C'era un frigo condiviso per l'intero hotel che ha circa 40 camere, penso. Ho potuto raffreddare le mie bevande e i miei frutti, che erano belli, dovevo riparare un sacchetto, e il tavolo di fronte mi ha prestato un ago e mi ha dato un filo che era bellissimo. Le camere di bagno hanno un bagno seduto che è bello, ma le loro docce sono il tipo integrato in tutta la camera senza un divisore o una cortina, quindi tutto si bagna. Grazie per la ventilazione della camera da bagno che si asciuga la camera da bagno in circa 3-4 ore in tempo caldo. There's an additional shared shower & squat toilet near the small lobby that needs renovation, but at least it's there in case of need. Ero al primo piano e quando ho aperto la finestra ho sentito le persone spiccare la tovagna in strada almeno 20 volte durante il mio soggiorno. Le camere sono piccole se avete 2 grandi adulti con bagagli. Ma usando le piccole tavole e la scrivania ben chiusa e chiudendo le finestre e girando la AC ha aiutato. Ero felice del prezzo e della zona tranquilla. In un pinch mi rimarrei... appena sopra il livello ostello soggiorno.

RRed_bearI think the location of this affordable hotel is excellent, the seashore is close (with the beaches), the metro station and the skyscrapers are nearby, the market is just there to buy food including vegetables and fruits.
I read reviews that claim it's in a bad neighborhood. Not at all. What I saw is that the first building of the street is half abandoned nobody cleans that part of the street and that gives a bad impression. But you can just walk on the other side of the road.
This is the first time that I had a room, not only a bed. I booked a room without a window but the receptionist lady gave me a single room with window.
The room is normal (see photos), there was a mosquito net on the window.
The pillow was hard but it was good to my spine.
The toilet / bathroom was a mixture of a modern toilet and a traditional toilet you can clean up yourself using shower or little bowl.
There was cleaning everyday.
There was a kettle to boil water. I got a very big thermos bottle 2L to store the hot water.
It's easy to find the hotel because there's street number too and many photos show the hotel in reviews.
If the hotel is full the toilet / bathroom can be occupied but there's a park with large plastic flowers on the way to the sea where there's a new large toilet (see photo).
You can use that too.

RRE_cyclingWe had an apartment on the 3rd floor. There was some dirt left in the bathroom, the drain was partly clogged by hairs which you dont immediately see, because it is under a cover. Inside the apartment there are stairs leading to a second level but upstairs there is nothing except for an additional bed and no windows.
Its a little unhandy that you need to go to the 9th floor of the neighbouring building to check in.
The view from the main apartment is pretty nice, one can see the sea from the bed! Location is also nice, close to the seafront.
