I arrived March 12th chasing online glimpses of pink blooms. What I found surpassed dreams: delicate petals dancing against karst mountains, quiet paths where time softened. Poetry in motion. But the true bloom wasn't only in the trees—it was in the people.

Words fail, but I'll try: she is heartfelt, organized, effortlessly kind. When I arrived shivering in Anshun's 8°C March air, she appeared minutes later with a soft cardigan and knowing smile: ”For you, so you can enjoy our beauty comfortably.” That small gesture made me feel profoundly seen.
When I mentioned wanting to capture Anshun through video, she acted. Within hours, she connected me with a talented local photographer—a true artist. The footage? Breathtaking. She gifted me memories I'll hold forever.
A European's Truth: ”I Felt Home”
The subtle loneliness of being far from familiar faces simply dissolved here. Language barriers softened through smiles and genuine care. Cultural distance? Bridged by shared tea, laughter, and her pride in showing me her Anshun.

UUtente ospiteExcellent service. Manager is really friendly, and has lots of local reccomendations. If there are any issues, he lives in the building as well and is very responsive. The place is absolutely spotless and beautiful, and the blankets are super fluffy. The views are serene, next to a river and farms.
Note that there are some bugs that will get in, simply due to the area being rural, and that you may get woken up early due to roosters nearby.
Take care to arrive during the day! At night it can be hard to navigate the narrow streets, but it's clear where to go once you've been there in daylight.

UUtente ospiteThe location is absolutely perfect. 5 minutes from the entrance to Huanggoushu. The cleanliness in this hotel is definitely on the top list of my travels here in China. But the real killer is the service. The host is one of the nicest and most helpful people i have ever met. He had no hesitation in helping me around, both to Huanggoushu as well as to the bus station. Thanks to his advice, i changed my train from Guanling to Kunming to a later one, and if he hadn't done that, i would hase wasted so much money on a taxi. Thank you so much, dear host. Expect me back one day!!!

UUtente ospiteLaweiyu Farmhouse is great if you like a countryside feeling. It is located in the midst of plots of farmland where locals grow their own vegetables and during my stay there were so many fields of yellow canola.
Throughout the day you can see the locals carrying on with their everyday life., sending their children to school, going to work.
Most importantly is that the owner, Mr. Gu Qiang is a very helpful host. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and the transportation system. He made sure that I am comfortable and offered very good advice regarding my travel plans.
Mr. Gu will send guests to the nearest entrance to the Pingba Cherry Blossom Festival in the morning. ( with very clear instructions as to how to get transport back to the Farmhouse ).
The kitchen staff cooked up simple but delicious meals for me on request.
Housekeeping was also great, keeping the rooms and the area clean.

Ci sono molte cose da vedere qui, tra cui un tempio buddista di 500 anni, una delle montagne della città in nebbia sotto. Diverse dalle vecchie città che abbiamo visto a Lijiang e Shangri-la, questo villaggio è il vero e proprio incredibile da camminare e esplorare. Ci è anche piacere camminare verso la città vicina fuori dalle porte. Le montagne Karst in questa zona sono estremamente drammatiche e belle da vedere. C'è un negozio di caffè specializzato e un posto per la colazione vicino alla porta - sospettamo che abbiamo visitato fuori dal tempo di picco, perché era generalmente tranquillo, ma che ci ha adattato bene. L’ospite ci ha fatto un po’ di zuppa e di zuppa in un pane vegetale molto bello, e gli ospiti sono molto gentili e hanno preparato un bel posto da cui esplorare questo villaggio molto speciale. È a circa 40 minuti di taxi dalla stazione di Anshun West e 20-30 minuto di taxi in città di Anshun. Grazie!

UUtente ospitePros: location in a good neighborhood, some good local small homemade food around, rooms are spacy and big enough with very good bedding, service was good, the people there were very friendly and helpful! The people actually made the place into a higher value hotel so the price of 150 rmb was good! The hostel has no elevator but the staff there will carry guest luggages up and down so we had no problem.
Cons: the air-conditioner in my room was hard to manage as it kept changing the temperature, guess it was a part of the smart system in the room. The smart system was good but I don't speak Chinese so I couldn't use it properly.

UUtente ospiteThe hotel is in a great location - there are bus stops directly outside, which makes getting to/ from the bus station and high-speed train station quite convenient. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk to Hongshan lake. There are lots of little shops in the neighborhood, and a few street food stalls up towards the lake. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful; one very patient member of staff spent a long time helping me find information about Huangguoshu falls, and gave useful advice about getting the bus there. The room is spacious and very clean. It even has a cubicle for the shower. Very good value for money.

HHolly IVery convenient spot and is reachable by bus. There is a tourist bus station next to it and you can travel to key attractions for around CNY$12 or back to Guiyang by van!
The room and hotel design were old. The wall was torn and toliet is not clean. People were smoking and the room could smell it. You can hear people chatting outside sometime but it's not bothering me.
You can do laundry on 3rd floor and have simple breakfast there. The lady who cooked the noodle was nice and the breakfast was not bad.
