Hotel vicini a Museo Dar Essid a Sousse Medina

I am really very disappointed with my last stay in Movenpick Sousse. I can't find a word that describes this terrible experience and I will simply list the problems that I had to go through: - During the check in, I had to go through the queue 3 times. Since the room was not ready, the lady told me that she will bring me the room access card once available so I will not need to got through the queue again, and of course she did not. I went twice through the long queue for almost 30 min in order to get the room card -I booked a King bed room and they gave me a twin bed room. The lady in the reception did not accept to change the room and she told the will change the mattress to a big single one over the two twin bed and of course she did not -The towels are dirty and stinky -The sink is clogged - The TV is not working - We kept the do not disturb sign in the room during our stay because my wife got sick but this was not respecting by the house keeping and the maintenance agent. They entered the room without our permission - Their excuse is that they received an order form their manager !! -In the restaurant and during the diner, I asked the waiter for a cutlery (because you almost never find a prepared table in the restaurant) - The waiter pointed his finger to another table and told me to get it by myself !!! I am still shocked by this impolite answer !! I still cannot understand how this kind of unpleasant events can happen in this hotel and all together during one stay. If my wife wasn't sick, I would have left the hotel since day one. In short, this is a half start hotel

Sono rimasto qui per rilassarmi per qualche settimana. Il Marriot è un hotel meraviglioso, tutto era buono circa la vacanza. Ci sono solo poche cose che hanno lasciato l'hotel giù. Il divertimento era una chiave molto bassa alla notte e poteva essere migliorato. Anche questa scelta se l'hotel non è grande per le persone. Non molto vivace e non abbastanza per andare in notte ho dovuto andare fuori dall'hotel alcune sera sono stato in Tunisia molte volte negli anni. Mi aspettavo di più dall'hotel.

Hôtel bondé et donc tous les desagrements qui vont avec: resto sale, buffet ravagé, discotheque mal frequentee le soir, pas de clim. Aucun calme malgré la periode creuse choisie pour mon sejour! Personnel de chambre au top! Remarque: impossible de se poser au petit bar pour deguster un café et profiter du wifi car c'est envahi de personnes qui ne consomment rien mais fument assidument. Tres désagréable!

The hotel itself is a bit tired but the staff really are what makes it. They are attentive and jolly (one member of the bar staff was miserable the whole duration - might be in the wrong profession?!). The food is acceptable. It lacks seasoning and flavour but it does of course need to cater to as many palettes as possible. If you like flavour, take your own condiments (I hesrd the ketchup was rubbish but didn't try it perdonslly). The food is also a bit repetitive largely consisting of grilled meat (beef, turkey, quail) and fish, stewed lamb, chicken and beef, potatoes (mashed, sautéed), chips/fries, grilled vegetables (courgettes, carrots, squash, tomatoes, okra), pasta and pizza, soup. There was also a variety of different salads and bread (which always seemed stale to me). At breakfast there is no bacon! There are omelettes, fried and poached eggs cooked to order. The omelettes were delicious. There was also grilled vegetables, beans (not the baked beans us Brits know and love), grilled frankfurters, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and museli, fresh juice and tea and coffees. Our waiter, Salah, was great. He kept us topped up with drinks and made sure we had everything we needed. He was always smiling and welcoming when he saw us head over to the tables and it made us feel like special guests to receive his superb service. The rooms are spacious, but despite requesting a double garden view room we were given a room overlooking the car park and two single beds pushed together. The pillows were not comfortable - a bit too hard and thick for me. Plenty of storage space but very few hangers. A wash and ironing service can be provided at additional cost. Tea and coffee making facilities are available but we didn't make use. The tea wasn't great so take your own teabags. The bathroom is huge, equipped with a bath and shower overhead. the shower was always warm but not high pressured, though did a good enough job for washing my hair and rinsing out sand, shampoo etc. Our bath didn't drain well and took a while so no showers in quick succession. The hairdryer in the bathroom is terrible - I never managed to fully dry my hair with it. Do take your own. There is a vanity table and mirror in the room but I found the lighting at night too dark to do my makeup. the bathroom was better lit. Drinks are ok. Beer is a 3% local and red wine a 13% local drop. The white wine tastes like vinegar so we avoided that after the first glass or two. Cocktails are strong but very sweet. They have Coca Cola and other local soft drinks poured from bottles so can be a little flat. All drinks are served in tiny glasses/paper cups, some people had taken their own (pint) glass out with them and the bar staff did fill them. The entertainment wasn't our cup of tea - karaoke, quiz, live music, drag show. unfortunately it was too chilly to sit outside so we were confined to drinking in the lobby where the entertainment was on, so we were largely subjected to

I had a wonderful holiday at the Kuriat Palace the staff were amazing they go above and beyond for you to be happy, the food was very good too I didn’t get bored of it and enjoyed every single meal. Drinks selection is good nice cocktails, I had vodka slushies all week from the pool bar! Our room was very big and modern with a huge bed. The housekeeping staff were great always clean and did cute towel animals with roses on the bed. We stayed in Star Prestige so i did expect a bit more..the mini bar wasn’t great the air con in the room didn’t work and our balcony door didn’t lock which kept me awake some nights. We used the private balcony area once it didn’t really seem as luxury as it was in the photos. We used the Spa which was lovely I had a very nice massage. Some parts of the hotel are old and need updating, there’s a funny smell in parts too. The beach was lovely though, beautifully clean and the water too. Entertainment was good just a shame due to whether most of it was inside. I don’t think the location of this hotel is great, there isn’t much to do at all in the area so if you like just staying in the hotel all week this would be perfect for you. I would come back to this hotel, we had a great week.

We had a very nice time, starting with entertainment information @ the reception was amazing team,Mondo ,Kiki ,Julia and the boys ,they give us at the first second a lot of joy, love and warm welcoming,.the room was very nice . Food varied and delicious 😋. Service bar , restaurant,very friendly. Garden nice view , flowers everywhere. Beach very clean . We had activities for kids and adults brilliant team. My boys adore the Wii Sports with Mondo, playing, bowling, baseball, golf...and dancing ...good 💯 job

Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities from multiple bars to two pools. Right on a small private beach. The entertainment in the evening was different every night and quite enjoyable. The lobby is clean with again it’s own bar and staff are very helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard with new towels every time however a ‘do not disturb sign’ isn’t available in every room and probably should be as there were a few times we were still asleep when the maids came in however they were extremely friendly and happy to come back later/next day. The rooms are slightly outdated but this wasn’t an issue at all. The restaurant has a variety of food and is a decent size the only slight issue is there is a bit of queuing required for popular items such as meat, pizza etc. pools are maintained to a goo standard with multiple life guards and they each have their own snack bar which was a pleasant addition alongside many sun beds. The pools were also used a source of entertainment as activities such as Zumba, water polo/volleyball were often taking place. The Wi-Fi only works in certain places but this was expected as the hotel is a significantly large building. The staff have been absolutely excellent and have really surprised us they are genuinely such a lovely bunch of people who are happy to help and go the extra mile. All in all a very lovely holiday down to the staff and facilities. Would definitely recommend

If you need some cooking facilities, this place is very minimal. No microwave, no cooking utensils, small frig, no dish soap,sponge,etc. Only 2 of everything- 2 dishes,2 glasses, 2 forks, etc. Burners and oven may not all run at the same time (they can fix it though I think). Otherwise its a hotel room which is fine if that's all you need. Close to the beach and on the marina so nice location. Compare prices with other apartments in the marina. A close by one was 20 DN per night less for virtually the same thing. We didn't do our homework. It is more quiet at this end of the marina however that maybe that's worth 20 DN a night!

L' hotel non e' assolutamente un 5***** Forse un 2 ** .......ma non vogliamo offendere gli Hotel a 2 **!!! Siamo arrivati alle ore 9.15 ma ci hanno dato la camera dopo le 14.15!!! Le camere sono bruttissime !!! Nessuno ci ha portato le valigie in camera..... Le valigie vengono ammassate all' entrata!!! Il personale non parlare le 3 lingue richieste ad un hotel 5***** Il bagno péssimo, senza accappatoi , ciabattine, asciugamani consegnatici sporchi gia' usati e con segni di rossetto! Sporco lúrido e senza manutenzione ! Il phon non funziona! L' armádio all' entrata senza una maniglia! Lá cassaforte piccolissima sverniciata e utilizzabile solo se paghi una cauzione! Il piccolo armadietto con sopra una televisione non si riesce a chiudere perché una cerniera cade. Le tende della camera sono sporche e piene di buchi . Fuori dalla camera non funzionano le luci ......su tutto il corridoio! Il ristorante solo a buffet ma aperto così tutti ci possono alitare sopra..... Tutti in fila, 20 / 30 persone con un piatto in mano!!! I bicchieri e i piatti??? Non parliamo delle pietanze.....sempre le stesse di pessima qualita' !!! L' acqua è le bevande vengono servite con un piccolo bicchiere solo se richieste....ci sono solo dei boccioni dove i camerieri ci prendono l' acqua. Mi fermo qui perche' mi disgusta solo parlarne!!! Tutto questo e' gestito dalla ALPITOUR !!! NO COMMENT !!!! ASSURDO!!! VACANZA STRA- ROVINATA !!!!!

Wonderful from start to finish! I could not recommend this hotel more. For me, it was the hotel team. The hotel community went out of their way to connect with others and genuinely seemed to care. They showed pride in customer service and expressed that they take their five-star reputation seriously. The room standard was amazing. Due to rooms being fully booked over Christmas, I needed to switch hotels for the main Christmas days. I switched to the biggest and supposedly most “ luxury “ hotel in Sousse. Honestly, the switch was not worthwhile. I realized just how exceptional the quality is at the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay. The housekeeping team visited daily providing toiletries, clean bathrobes and nice extras ( such as sweets and chocolates) to the room. Their friendly faces with their cheerful banter were a pleasure to embrace each day. The food quality was great! I do not consume meat or dairy but that didn’t make a difference, there truly is something for everyone. The fresh food selection was incredible and certainly unbeatable to those I had tried elsewhere in Sousse and Tunis. The cooks shared helpful recommendations and I tried a range of fresh local flavours. This hotel was comfortable, with a cheerful friendly team and positioned with an exceptional view of a gorgeous quiet beach. I would happily stay again, and I highly recommend the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the remarkable team.
