L’hotel è favoloso, situato proprio di fronte alla Cattedrale. La costruzione è storica ma internamente è stato rinnovato benissimo ed è arredato con grande gusto. La mia camera era molto accogliente, al 4 piano, con vista sulla Cattedrale. Non si può chiedere di meglio. Possibilità di parcheggio presso l’Hotel oppure molto vicino si trova un autosilo capiente. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. Non ho provato il ristorante perché era tutto esaurito ma ci hanno riservato un tavolo presso il ristorante “gemellato” Baseltor.

L’albergo è davvero un gioiellino: gli spazi comuni sono molto particolari, caratterizzati da una ristrutturazione che ha saputo conservare la personalità dell’edificio. La scala è bellissima. Le camere sono molto accoglienti, curate e pulite. Colazione ottima. Perfetta la possizione. Personale molto gentile.

A very nice hotel, perfect location, next to the cathedral, romantic and historical place as well! The rooms are comfortable, offering l'Occitane amenities, walk in shower, and quiet. The restaurant listed at "Gault et Millau" is offering a refined cuisine highlighting local products, the wine list is also selecting local wines, prices are quite high as far as the wine list is concerned. The teams are sincerely helpful, smiling, reacting to each requests promptly. We will come back!

This is a fine hotel about a 10-15 min walk from the Solothurn train station across the river and up a hill. The old town (Altstadt) of Solothurn is very nice, reknown in Switzerland for its Baroque style. The hotel itself is first class but I would strongly advise being sure to stay in the main building itself, not the annex. Here's why: the annex is on an alleyway and near a bar which has a loud and boisterous clientele. When we were there, it was as though the zombie drummer from Hell and his singers were having a gig - happily, I think Swiss law closed them up at 10 or so. Not sure if this is always the case but.... The restaurant at the hotel is very nicely done, excellent food and wine list, breakfast is sumptuous, service tops. Solothurn is off the beaten touristic track for most but if there, this is a worthy candidate in which to find repose.

This is a wonderful hotel in Solothurn. We chose it because of it's location on a cobblestone street in old town, taking us back hundreds of years. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious (by European standards). The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Overall we were very happy with the hotel but did struggle with the 5 star cost. For the money we paid I thought there were a few missing factors:- No AC Little shelve space in bathroom & bedroom Small TV Sp**** or bare décor. Sorry but a bit disappointed for the price. Note: I paid same in Neuchatel at the Beau Rivage! Different league.

I love the cleanliness, bar, great breakfast...always a little hot in the room...I had to keep window open all night...no window screens. But this doesn't stop me from staying here again. Cleanliness is my favorite thing about this hotel.

This is the third time we have stopped in this absolute gem of a hotel. The hotel is clean, stylish and has the most helpful and pleasant staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast has a fantastic choice of foods, lunch was beautifully cooked food at a reasonable price. We haven’t sampled the dinner but I imagine that it is cooked to a very high standard. All the staff seem to be multilingual which is a great help.

When ever we are in Solothurn we stay here. It’s a charming and luxurious Hotel. I love the linen bed linen!!! Being an Interior Designer I appreciate the wonderful color scheme of the rooms. Subtle with a hint of colour. We can recommend the suite 306 with the rolltop bathtub or the corner room 407. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We will add the hotel to our design and travel guide.
