Hotel con piscina a Sheffield

La camera e la posizione sono relativamente buone. È considerato un hotel di fascia alta a Sheffield, ma non può essere paragonato agli hotel nazionali. Non ci sono pantofole. L'hotel è in una posizione eccellente nel centro della città.

It is a very nice hotel, spacious room and friendly staff. They listened to my request. I had requested for a room near the elevator because I have walking difficulties, and they managed to give me a room right opposite the elevator. Besides , the environment of the restaurant where we had breakfast was good, also quite a lot of food and choice of drinks. Many thanks.

Non c'era molto bisogno di servizio con un soggiorno di una notte, ma sembrava che se fosse necessario, era lì. La posizione era OK se le barre laterali del canale fossero accessibili attraverso la parte posteriore del lobby, ma era bloccato così doveva girare un passo di 2 minuti in un passo di 10 minuti ma non la fine del mondo. C’erano i capelli nel bagno e qualche gomma all’angolo della stanza, ma, a parte questo, tutto era bene. Adoro che avessero un tavolo di ferro e di ferro, ma la copertura era un po’ grotta. In generale, rimarrei ancora.

The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as far as they could be. On the first day of our stay ( Christmas Day) there were parties going on and we had to go up several flights of stairs to get to the breakfast buffet. Everything was a little hard to find but the food was good when available. The ample grounds were an additional attraction as were the huge trees in the spacious garden. On Christmas Day there were lots of staff looking after the various parties.On the last day, however, ther was only one poor unfortunate waiter in attendance! He did his best but it was impossible for him to keep the buffet food items fully refreshed. He had to do this as well as clearing plates etc from tables. We thought that the lack of any other waiting staff was due to the unavailability of staff from the European Union. The bedroom facilities needed repairs which were unattended to. In particular, the control knob of the central heating radiator had fallen off and could not be replaced. The radiator was on night and day and also made an irritating noise through most of the night. We stayed three nights in the hotel from 24th to 27th December 2023. IN summary, we thought that the hotel could be restored to it's original splendour but would need a substantial investment to improve its standard. The once magnificent hotel seemed sadly neglected because of lack of investment. Otherwise the room was satisfactory. But sleep was difficult until we got more used to the noise at night. In summary, we thought that the hotel needed a lot of money spending on it to improve the facilities and make dure there were enough staff.

Abbiamo ricevuto chiavi che non hanno aperto la porta, che ci hanno costretto a tornare all'ufficio di fronte, e la nostra stanza, per la prima volta, era in un lungo corridoio al piano superiore di un ali esteso, se si può immaginare. Abbiamo prenotato (e pagato) una stanza per tre, ma quando entrammo, non era stato fatto il letto extra, cercando di chiamare ogni numero sul telefono, ma nessuno fu risposto, il che significava un'altra lunga passeggiata verso l'ufficio del fronte. Quando abbiamo trovato il drenaggio nel doccia scioccato, ero esitante a lamentarmi per evitare di più disappunto, ma ho fatto comunque e abbastanza vero - non è stato fatto nulla. Devo ammettere che l'hotel aveva una delle più ampie scelte di tè e caffè (e la miscela di bevande al cioccolato) che ho visto in una stanza d'hotel. Ho apprezzato il caffè, ma purtroppo, il rifornimento è stato fatto solo una volta per tutta la nostra 4 notti di soggiorno. Mi chiedo se questo dovesse essere previsto. Il Doppio albero è un marchio rispettabile (almeno nella mia parte del mondo), ma non capisco cosa potrebbe aver sbagliato così tanto con questo.
