Hotel a Sheffield, Australia

Il hotel è stato molto aperto, non troppo grande e offre una buona selezione di camere standard, stile di appartamento e una scelta di camera familiare. Alloggio principalmente sul pavimento, ma ci è stata data una possibilità di una prima stanza, che era grande, perché ci ha dato una splendida vista sul vicino Monte Roland. Se avete un lungo soggiorno, consiglierei l'appartamento a letto, poiché è molto spazioso con una grande zona cucina, con un frigorifero/congelatore adeguato piuttosto che un mini bar frigorifero. Microonde solo per cucina che è bello per me! . Il motel è ben presentato, ha un bel giardino con un BBQ/sito esterno e anche se nelle principali camere e fuori strada parcheggio sono riposto dalla strada principale. Sheffield è famoso per le sue mura, e anche la Sheffield Motor Inn offre queste, perché ci sono pochi sulle pareti dei motel. Tutti i negozi, i caffè e le attrazioni della città che si desidera visitare sono a pochi passi. La montagna Roland per qualche ora di cammino è a breve distanza e la costa nord-ovest/Devonport è a circa 30 minuti di distanza. Il personale è stato terribile, amichevole e utile dal momento che abbiamo prenotato, consiglierei molto di rimanere qui. (Nota: non ci si mangia qui, ma il bar di Bossimi è vicino al colazione e al pasto durante il giorno e lungo la strada è l'Hotel Sheffield che offre pranzo, cena e servizio di ricezione)

Welcoming host, great clean and comfortable room. We had plenty of room for a family of 5 to stretch out. The second tv in the kids room was a treat and made for happy kids and happy parents. Kids loved feeding the alpacas it was great being able to park the car right outside our door. Would defiantly recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

Irene and Russell are amazing hosts who ensured our 3-night stay at Glencoe B & B was unforgettable. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. In our daughters' room, Russ split the bed into two singles. Each room is heated and has an ensuite stocked with quality towels and toiletries, and the living and dining areas have wood fires which was very appreciated as the temperatures dropped. We enjoyed sitting by the fire (with Howard the cat ^-^) playing games and reading books each evening enjoying a very impressive cheese platter created by Russ. Breakfast was amazing - fresh croissants, fresh fruits and cooked breakfast...made to order and of the highest quality. As we were visiting NW Tasmania for the first time, Russell gave us detailed itineraries and suggestions for each of our day trips including where to dine. This was invaluable and made our days out so much easier. Irene took us on a tour of the farm, and we had the pleasure of handfeeding the highland cows and meeting the newborn lambs! The gardens are beautiful - our girls enjoyed walking around meeting the free-range hens and ducks each afternoon. Irene and Russ are both very warm and hard-working people who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed their company very much and would definitely stay again.

A review 8 months ago says the spa wasn’t working. It still isn’t. The place has been seriously neglected. The gym equipment and kids bikes look like they have all been taken from someone’s hard garbage pile. Bikes rusted and flat tyres, gym equipment faulty. Even the basketball and soccer balls are worn/flat. The pool table, the cues are worn and there is no chalk. The sauna isn’t working. The cottage we stayed in had broken window and busted hinges on cupboards, the smoke detector isn’t working. The tree house is covered in grime. The washing machine lint filter was blocked with mouldy lint and I had to clean it. There is a DVD box in the games room with a sign which says to put dvds in here if they aren’t working. The box is full and this gives a good indication of how much time and effort the owners put into maintaining the place. The staff member gives you the wifi access and outright acknowledges how bad it is. It’s 2022, if you are going to provide wifi make it work otherwise it just annoys people. You will see their Facebook page does not allow reviews and seldom has any interaction from any clients. The place has been let go and for near on $300 a night, it is seriously over priced for the almost ghetto like facilities. I would come back if the price was about 1/3rd of what it is because despite the condition of the place, I think my naive children enjoyed it. Like others have said, the view is amazing and the staff member is friendly but that’s about as good as it’s going to get. Most people are happy to part with money for good quality and service. If you are one of these people, you are going to be very disappointed. Very unfortunate as the right business owner could turn this place into something very very special, which it appears it once was.
