According to name, I assume the hotel link more to the lake, which is located on the opposite site of the park and further steps... We booked for going to Haicheng Ocean Park, that was very convenient. There is no shuttle service but taxi ride is quite convenient and fast to be fair. Staff did not speak English, not even try to speak English, always denied and did not understand a word. Room was big. Play Corner for kid was OK. Breakfast was variety. Freshly made omelette was delicious. We communicated with hotel before we arrived about a special arrangement for our son's birthday... They promised a cake, but didn't get it. Asked at reception, none know about arrangements at all.

Around Dishui Lake there aren't many options for an international-brand chain hotel, so I was pleased to find this IHG location.

Very good hotel conveniently located close to maritime and space museum. A nice playground for kids, I would just recommend to avoid violent X-Box games just side to younger kids activities. Very good breakfast buffet to fit both local an international tastes. Only issue was shower. Seems they don't know about thermostatatic tap. It's more binary tap: we could only get 50° C or 10° C

The receptionist is very friendly. I stayed for three nights and the environment of all areas is very comfortable. I can relax when I came back from the office.

Good customer service, the breakfast was good

We had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn! On arrival we were upgraded to a family room by Echo (multiple staff members speak English!) and we were able to check in early! The room was a great size and clean. Buffet breakfast in the morning had plenty of choice for both westerners and Chinese. The hotel is greatly situated near the lake, near Haichang Ocean Park and near the planetarium!

Good location for a Spartan race. Satisfied with the morning breakfast and suitable for family’s.

Not 5 star level but good for travelling in the lingang area.

Reception staff good. Housekeeping poor. Staff on reception were very helpful, polite and good, especially Echo, but unfortunately head-of-house needs to drive improvement elsewhere. Children's play area unclean (especially in the hard to reach areas...that our children like to reach), many food stains on the apolstry in comunal areas, food on dining chairs in the morning from previous night, and room cleaning poor. Our room wasn't turned over in 3 days, we asked it to be done one afternoon, but there was only a half hearted attempt at making one of the two beds (missing the mattress topper). Otherwise OK and a pleasant enough stay.

We booked this double room for our ayis who traveled along with us for a double family mini staycation. They enjoyed their time and the facilities were well maintained. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options!

Decided to stay the night in Dishui Lake area because I planned a visit to both Ocean Park and the Planetarium. The central heating was a little too warm but still had pleasant stay nonetheless. Room was clean, common area at the lobby is really cozy, breakfast was good (come before 8 to avoid crowd!!). The only drawback was the location is rather remote. The whole Dishui Lake area itself is indeed still rather empty but around the hotel was really nothing. But it is only around 15-20mins walk from the planetarium. Not so bad to spend the night after whole day of adventure (rather than go back on a long metro ride to downtown area).
