Soggiornerò qui per una notte, sono stato informato dal personale che non è consentito fotografare nella hall, cosa che non capisco del tutto. Ho ritenuto che fosse piuttosto sconsiderato, soprattutto quando ho visto altri ospiti scattare foto nella stessa area. Sono un ospite PAGANTE qui per SOGGIORNARE in hotel, non solo per andare al bar, e credo che questo debba essere rispettato.

Stayed with The Kempton for a little staycation, and was bowled over by this place! Absolutely stunning!

It was great overall. They gave me several desserts for my birthday , they put effort into it which awesome. Their bathroom was probably my favorite thing about the hotel. I wish they would ease up on the regulations for swimming, a lot of effort just to take a dip. Overall a good stay and I’d probably stay here again

Although my stay was good ! but there's some point that has disappointed me. I wanted to use swimming pool but do to typhoon they closed open swimming pool. It wasn't raining and the wind wasn't so high but they still closed it for 2 days. Also there's no movies on hotel tv and I cannot connect my Apple tv although the tv has this function but they blocked it sp i couldn't connect to the tv and broadcast the movie on tv . The problem this hotel is new but the sealing in common areas is leaking and I had drops dropping on my face at common places , not in the room. The room was good and fine. Breakfast was ok. But I kinda wanted fresh juice. Stuff in hotel was nice but they recognized me and told me about seeing me somewhere before in various locations, I didn't feel comfortable because I prefer to be anonymous in hotel and this one is not cheap. And I want my privacy and anonymity i don't blame stuff but this is just my note. And there was a note that i can use shuttle bus to the shopping mall which is around 17 minutes walk but when i ask about it the staff said its not available on weekends. Then i asked maybe they have car to drop me to the shopping mall they said they don't have. Just saying Because I couldn't rent a hotel downtown for the same amount of money of a big chain brand and get outstanding service but I think the price of this hotel is overpriced. Although my stay was good and I reserved complements from hotel which I thankfull. And the room was clean and high technology.

Nice new hotel but far from a top hotel for me. Location is not my favorite and the hotel has no vibe

The decor was modern and unsderstated. Loved the fireplace in the room. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Best of all was it's location. near the malls, transportation and the walking/biking trails along the river.

The hotel room is very clean and tidy. Staffs are super friendly I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

This Kimpton hotel is really-really cool: opened in September’23, it has fresh amenities, sleek contemporary design, beautiful scenery from the upper decks and remarkable dine & drink options. The staff is friendly and helpful, with fair level of English, which is not that common even in Shanghai. Rooms have spacious bathrooms, high-tech control system and comfy bed with orthopedic (!) pillows. The surrounding areas are fresh from the reconstruction, conveying nice Singapore-style staycation feel - great choice even for those living in Shanghai. The only major area of concern was the pool. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a really beautiful rooftop pool at a scenic spot of Huangpu river, but it’s regulated by the most ridiculous rules you can possibly think of. First, there is no service by the pool, so forget about the joy of having a coffee, a cold beer or a juice at your sunbed. There’s a forced shower at the entrance which cannot be turned off - protecting your phone an belongings would require agility. And the most stupid of all - you must wear a swimming cap even if you don’t dive. There is no information of it ahead of check-in, so you can either rent a cap at the place, or enjoy the pool in observer’s mode if they’d ran out of those (happened to us). Having stayed at over 30 hotels across all China, it was the first time I met regulations like that. It’s not a sports pool, where caps and absence of service could be assumed. It’s a really nice rooftop leisure pool, beautifully furnished and with pleasant soundtrack. Well, could have been. Dear Administration, please benchmark the other hotels in town. A properly serviced rooftop pool is not just a source of joy for your guests, it’s also a revenue stream for the business.
