Hotel a 4 stelle popolari a Sandy Bay

I am very disappointed as I thought I booked a room in Wrest Point but instead it was in adjacent property called Motor Inn. I felt that I have been cheated as the picture in the booking details showed me Wrest point Towel and not Motor Inn. I thought the room was called Motor Inn as I have not been there to know the existence of Motor Inn. When I queried about it, they said it was the agent's (trip.com) fault . To move to the main tower will cost me an extra of $80. I felt I have been conned and they should have placed the Motor Inn building photo instead of the tower of Wrest Point in their website for booking. (It is deceptive marketing - show you a ferrari for sale and got a lemon after you have paid for it) Motor Inn is an old building and does not have lifts to the room we were allocated and being retirees , we have to carry our bags up to 2 flights of stairs. On top of that, the room walls were not sound proof and you can hear every customer slamming their doors and flushing their toilets. I thought we have booked the room with the sea view instead there were only bushes as a window view. It was so embarrassing when I thought I could request for a room on a higher floor in wrest tower for good views but instead shown out of the door to an old adjacent building call Motor Inn. In all its websites and advertising, there is not 1 photo to show Motor Inn as Wrest Point . It has always being the tower used to promote the sale of their rooms. The Bistro food is poor quality and costly. We order from the caviary and the food came out to be cold and dry. We wanted to try the other 2 restaurants Kwan Ho and the one on the 17 th floor in the main tower but were told they were close. I thought being a top notch hotel, their restaurant will be open 7 days instead they are closed 2 days.( sun and mon). - the days we were there sat,sun,mon) They have a fantastic location but sad to say they don't have the marks of a 5 star hotel. The first picture is what I thought I booked but the second picture is actually what I got. The 3rd picture is what is in the website for booking and the last picture is what you get.

BnB Manor è ben mantenuta e designata. Situato a pochi passi dal quartiere shopping di Sandy Bay con una vasta gamma di ristoranti e caffè, pasticche e tutte le risorse. Le camere sono spaziose con un bellissimo letto di quattro poster e una mattress molto comoda. Un suite pulita e attrezzata garantisce la privacy. Un colazione continentale è fornito con varietà per adattarsi a ogni gusto. La sala colazione è vista sul giardino del cottage e è calda e confortevole. Un'area di soggiorno rilassante offre un posto tranquillo per scappare o rilassarsi, con un porto complimentare se si desidera partecipare. Una splendida permanenza, vicino a tutto, e una facile guida a tante attrazioni e tour della Tasmania. Una grande comunicazione dal nostro ospite, ci ha assicurato di non voler nulla. Siamo stati come il Signore e Lady del “Manor”. Altamente raccomandato.

L'esterno piuttosto mescolato dell'hotel nascondisce un piacevole interno. Anche se si trova su una strada occupata, la nostra stanza era completamente libera dal rumore del traffico. La stanza sembra essere stata recentemente ristrutturata. La stanza era un po' piccola, costruita in un alloggio, ma non c'erano tappeti e solo lo spazio per mettere le valigie. La chiusura della finestra del bagno non funzionava, ma al secondo piano non ci sentivamo in pericolo. Il tè, il caffè, il succo, il ferro, il tavolo di ferro, il frigo, molti punti di alimentazione, il condizionamento dell'aria e letti confortevoli sono stati tutti positivi. La chiave è la prima ingresso e la prima ingresso al piano prima di accedere alla vostra stanza (con la chiave) e l'hotel dispone anche di un parcheggio abbastanza grande dietro l'edificio. L'hotel si trova a soli 15-20 a piedi dalla zona Salamanca Square/Franklin Wharf. È anche un ristorante molto buono e popolare (vedi Ristoranti Hobart, Dottor Syntax). Inoltre, essere un hotel, costa molto meno rimanere qui di uno dei grandi motel intorno alla città.

Great place to stay. The apartment had all we needed. Beds were very comfortable and had electric blankets on the beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Sandy Bay shops and within walking distance of Hobart city centre. The only downside was we had a visit by ants during one night and they got into some of our food.

L'unità di 2 camere da letto era decorata per corrispondere alla casa più vecchia. Abbiamo scelto l'appartamento Waterview principalmente per sedersi sul balcone ma purtroppo era troppo freddo. La camera da letto che abbiamo soggiornato era molto comoda. Con un grande letto e tavolo da usare. Un po'di rumore dalla strada. Il bagno è piccolo. Passo nel bagno per la doccia. La cucina aveva tutto ma non abbiamo cucinato. Grande per avere lavatrice/siccato. L'area dello spazio lounge è tuttavia una TV molto piccola che non è la solita, deve essere aggiornato. Il ferro anche? L'unico riscaldamento è un riscaldatore per pareti in sala salone e 1 camera da letto e un riscaldatore portatile di olio in 2a camera che dovevamo trasferirci nella nostra camera da letto per tenerci abbastanza caldi. La cucina era congelata. Non vorrei rimanere li nei mesi freddi. Il cavo lungo la strada è chiuso ma è sostituito da BlackFig, un grande luogo di caffè/deli.

Aveva un soggiorno di due notti, un personale di ricezione estremamente obbligatorio, arrivato prima di quanto previsto, ma poteva permettere un check-in precoce. Apprezzato con il clima estremamente freddo. La stanza era senza spot, letti confortevoli. Una grande scelta di Café vicino per un caffè e un snack. Molti posti vicino le opzioni di cena. Un posto per ricordare il mio prossimo viaggio a Hobart. Sarà un viaggiatore di ritorno a Mayfair ogni volta a Hobart.

Quando si tratta di scrivere un manuale su come possedere e gestire un piccolo hotel boutique, il manager Robert Devine e la sua squadra a The Rivulet devono averlo scritto. A metà dicembre siamo stati aggiornati alla ”Alonnah Suite” da una stanza di pavimento per il nostro soggiorno di due notti. La qualità delle camere era eccellente. Il letto era super comodo e il bagno era eccezionale. La stanza era anche molto tranquilla, con una bella vista del monte Wellington dal bagno di piede di claw. Il colazione era da morire. Un tavolo di prodotti freschi tutti presentati con gusto.

The Bay Apartments are a good value but simple place to stay in Hobart. We stayed here for 1 night this week, in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean but small. It had an overpowering smell of cleaning products when we arrived but this dispersed during our stay. The bathroom is a traditional shower-over-bath, and there is a small living area and flat screen TV. There is a small cooktop and sink, and a bar fridge. The apartments are a short walk to a large range of restaurants, a Woolworths and a Cole. There is also a pub (almost) next door. It is a short drive to Hobart CBD and there are public buses out the front. We were apprehensive at first as it was quite noisy (noise from other guests and from the road), but this didn’t affect our sleep quality. There is parking outside the unit and one reverse cycle aircon unit in the living area. Don’t expect a fancy property- this is a basic but well presented unit at an affordable price point, not a $300/nt property. If you set your expectations correctly this is a very good property. The stairways to the upstairs appartments are very narrow and it is difficult to carry large cases up and down. I’d stay here again if looking for a basic stay in Hobart, but probably not for multiple nights.
