Hotel in zona Porto 3 Business Center, Salvador

The Novotel Salvador Hangar Aeroporto best features are its location near the airport, newer facilities than most properties in Salvador, and it operates under the ACCOR hotel brand. Despite these advantages, I must report a unacceptable experience during my stay December 28th to 31st 2022 followed by deplorable managerial customer service in response to verified and documented service failures. I have reported these issues to my travel agency, my corporate travel unit, and my personal travel networks. As I discovered this property using Trip Advisor, I have decided to report this matter for the benefit of my fellow readers. I do not recommend this property for business travelers nor cultural tourism travelers (especially not those seeking afro-Brazilian tourism or those welcoming to the African diaspora). I share some reasons herein: • Unreliable Service: During my stay I experienced one major internet outage over six business hours, as well as minor room outages (less than 30 minutes) on each day of my stay. This hotel was advertised as catering to business travelers, but the hotel provided no updates when internet would be restored despite repeated requests. I did not receive any support to manage the disruption to my teleworking, and personnel were unable/unwilling to facilitate solutions (At one point, I was recommended to use the free internet of one of the shopping malls. Imagine carrying expensive computer equipment to what my taxi driver warned was a “high crime” area). Sadly, the ability of the reception staff to identify solutions was more unreliable than the internet service. • Poor Room Quality: This hotel advertises rooms of high standards of quality, and I am sure many receive good rooms. However, I received a room that was both substandard quality (bathroom sidings and interior furniture water damaged, door malfunction, refrigerator malfunction) and pollutted by the buildings HVAC exhaust being poorly designed, allowing exhaust to flow against rooms on the lower floor (high noise pollution noticeable when sleeping). I believe most guests do not have this experience, as the issue likely affects few rooms on the lower floors. However, when choosing this property, one must ask the question, how does the receptionist decide who receives these rooms which experience high dust inflow and high noise pollution (I have videos and photos available upon request). Why are some customers placed in quality rooms, and others assigned to substandard rooms (noting the hotel has standard room types based on bed requirements)? Why did this hotel property assume that one of their few afro-descendent customers would accept the worst room in the property? • Deplorable Managerial Level Customer Service: Upon checkout, a customer service representative noted my dissatisfaction with my hotel experience, and asked if I would be willing to receive inquires from hotel management the next business day. O hotel é bem legal e com uma vista fantástica. O rooftop é maravilhoso, tem uma vista incrível, ambiente super agradável, atendimento do bar é muito bom. Passamos o dia todo pegando sol, banho de piscina, drinks espetaculares, recomendamos o ”Maria Quitéria”. O quarto é bastante amplo, limpo, com ar condicionado, frigobar, mesa para trabalho. Banheiro também amplo, só a água do chuveiro que poderia ser bem mais quente. O serviço de quarto do restaurante é muito bom e rápido. Café da manhã bem variado e ambiente aconchegante. A localização do hotel é muito boa, fica ao lado do Shopping Salvador, nem cinco minutos a pé. Tem estacionamento, R$ 12,00 a diária. O atendimento da recepção é ótimo, colaboradores simpáticos e atenciosos. Ficamos hospedados cinco noites no quarto com vista para o mar no 23º andar. Foi uma estadia muito boa, recomendamos!

Sono andato a dormire tranquillo, mi fermerò solo una notte, sono rimasto in una stanza superiore, al piano 21. Il giorno dopo, per scendere al colazione, ho scoperto che i 4 ascensori erano fermati a causa della rottura di un cannone. ok che gli incidenti si verificano e non c'era molto da fare, Ma credo che mancasse un po' di gestione della crisi da parte dei funzionari che non avevano molto tatto per affrontare la situazione così strana. Ho dovuto scendere e salire i 21 piani per le scale. Ho pagato per il soggiorno parte in punti e parte in denaro. e molto Mi è stato gentilmente restituito la parte in denaro, ma comunque credo manca una migliore gestione del rischio e della crisi in situazioni come questa. Purtroppo, pq Mercure è sempre un soggiorno che mi piace.

This is basically a convention hotel surrounded by medical practices not far from a dirty beach and away from ALL major attractions in the city - in theory and in practice, not the best choice for tourists in Salvador or those visiting it for the first time, it's a fact. No wonder it is often busy with congress members, groups from other states or patients from the hospitals and clinics nearby. That being said, it is not a bad hotel at all, though some update and renovation is urgently needed. Staff is most kind and friendly, be it reception, housekeeping or restaurant. Rooms are large and comfortable, breakfast is assorted, parking is available at a (high) fee. TV has tons of channels, internet works really great, the pool is not to be missed. This was my third time in the hotel and each had a fulfilled purpose. Just make sure it is the right choice to meet your purpose.

Il prezzo pagato è eccezionale. La posizione è sicura, a 5 metri dalla spiaggia (circa quanto vicino un hotel può raggiungere) e a pochi minuti a piedi dai supermercati, dai ristoranti e da altre strutture. Il colazione come sempre è il caso con gli hotel Rede Andrade è vario e grande. Questa filiale dell'hotel è molto più bello di altri due che ho soggiornato in Salvador con una comoda zona di lobby e fuori da un giardino. Anche se la mia camera era mal rappresentata come ”un appartamento” quando è una stanza normale, mi piaceva, visto il prezzo basso pagato. Ho una vista sul mare e la camera conteneva le caratteristiche necessarie, cioè frigorifero, TV, doccia calda, acc e asciugamani/saponi. Il WiFi era terribile, ma senza segnale in tutta la stanza. Oltre a quest'ultima, tutto era grande come il personale.

Dalle mie prenotazioni, fino al checkout, ho avuto un'ottima esperienza... Quando sono arrivati all'hotel alle receptioniste della sera, mi hanno ascoltato FOF tutte le informazioni precise, con buona attenzione e educazione. Camera confortevole, aria condizionata e vista sul mare!  Caffè mattina molto ampio, con tutto fresco e pulito!  Senza dubbio ritornerò più volte!!!

The Fasano is located next to the Pelourinho, the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This means you can walk to the main sights easily. Old building, nicely renovated, now in modern style. Rooms tend to be on the small side, but are nice and have all you need. Nice rooftop pool with small bar, great views. Breakfast is very good, good choice and good quality. Lunch is ok, but nothing special. Most staff members are very friendly, they try their best to accommodate your needs. Yes there are some hiccups in the service, things got forgotten etc, but as they are very friendly you can live with it. Probably one of the better Fasanos, compared to others, here the staff pay more attention to details and are more client focused. I can recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Salvador, probably the best option in town. I would like to thank Janine, Maria and all other staff members who did their best to make my stay a very nice one.

Le camere dell'hotel non sono molto buone, colazione , deve migliorare molto, poca opzione di cibo aveva solo torta sul tavolo. assistenza del receptionista molto buona, ma quelle della cucina tutto di faccia fegato, al colazione ho mangiato un mammiferio che sembrava distrutto, ho vomitato all'ora ...

Ottimo hotel, ma il servizio pessimo. Nella colazione si deve rimanere pulito tavolo per sedersi e andare dietro a tagliare, non ha abbastanza dipendenti. Tutto è tardi. Non ho mai potuto mangiare il tapioca o l'omeleta che ho chiesto, ci sono voluto più di 45 minuti e ho rinunciato. Il check out oggi è stata una epopeia. ricevimento molto tempo! La struttura dell'hotel è ottima, piscina e camera confortevole!

Se si cerca un hotel con tutti i comfort non troppo lontano dal centro questo hotel è la soluzione ideale. La struttura è un po vecchiotta e i bagni andrebbero rimodernati ma gli spazi comuni sono ampli e confortevoli. Noi siamo andati ad agosto e la piscina era un po freddina ma farsi il bagno con vista sull'oceano è una sensazione bellissima. La nostra stanza familiare era grandissima, con letto king e vista mare, eravamo d'angolo quindi avevamo una finestra grande e un'altra finestra più piccola con una vista mozzafiato. Nella hall c'è un negozio per le emergenze che è stato la nostra salvezza. La colazione è ottima e abbondante e ogni giorno ci sono succhi e piatti nuovi. Dovrebbero migliorare il servizio per preparare la tapioca... le file sono lunghissime...basterebbe avere di quei segnaposto che suonano quando è pronto in modo da evitare di passare mezz'ora in fila. Tornerei sicuramente.
