Clean Hotel. Very clean everywhere. Staff friendly. Room was large, clean, comfortable. Large bathroom with full sized bath and overhead shower. Toilet rolls, towels, shampoo body wash provided. Also had a hairdryer. Kitchen space had a hob, fridge, sink and all the crockery and pans you could need. Beds were comfortable and bedding was immaculate. Balcony was huge. We were at the back over reception but still had a sea view. Our holiday included breakfast, the choice of food was huge. All fresh, all tasty. Coffee was great. We ate at the hotel and had great food for a great price. Think the most expensive thing on the menu was about 16 euros, that was for steak, chips, mushrooms and salad. It was delicious. There was entertainment every night, kids disco, bingo etc. Pool area was nice but the pool is not heated. It was freezing. We didn't get in. Shop by hotel, good size, everything was really reasonably priced. Bus ticket office at the end of the road, buy a card, works out 1 euro for a bus ride. Buses are regular, every 10 minutes. It was easy to go into Salou and Tarragona the other way. There's a beach right there, looks lovely. Overall we had a great stay for 4 night break. Even with the dreadful weather. The downsides for us was the freezing cold swimming pool. The noise of the music didn't bother us at all, but the noise in the corridor could be really loud, the walls are thin.

The hotel is clean and comfortable and I found all staff really pleasant. As a light sleeper, I had to move rooms due to the noise as we were very close to reception, lifts and the bar. Even on a quieter upper floor, our room was still quite noisy with the walls seemingly very thin between apartments. This was my experience and not that of the other families we travelled with. The pool is in shade most of the morning but there are sunbeds at the side of the hotel by the jacuzzi in full sun all day. The hotel has an onsite supermarket which is great for water and essentials but is expensive compared to the main supermarket in Cap Salou which is a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend using the bus to go into La Pineda at night. A multiple journey card is inexpensive and the journey takes less than 5 minutes. Within Cap Salou, we enjoyed Route 66 and The San Francisco for dinner and drinks.

We stayed at The Sun Club in May 2024 half term with our 4 children (7, 5, 2 Yr old and 9 month old baby). The Hotel was Spotless, very clean, staff were all friendly and the pool area was maintained well. The children really enjoyed the shallow pool with the fountains and slide. Our room was really spacious for our big family with 2 single beds, double bed, sofa bed and a travel cot for the baby. Could have had more drawer space but the ground floor room with a balcony view of the pool more than made up for this. The Hotel has a laundry room where you can wash, dry and Iron your clothes so this was one of the best features they offer. (Washer/Dryer is chargeable) There was an entertainment club for the children every night with mini disco and games and also options for kids club during the day. The weather wasn't amazing in May at an average of 23 degrees each day but at least no rain. The Hotel is situated at quite a high point and if you do venture down to the local bars and restaurants then be prepared for steep hills (not great with a double buggy) We ate out most nights as there was only a basic menu at the Hotel and the Breakfast options was a bit pricey so as we were self catering we made Breakfast in our rooms. Bus stop is a few minutes walk away and a tourist point to buy a daily bus ticket (cheaper then paying per journey) or to book excursions. Buses will take you into the main ***** of Salou - 15 mins away on the bus where you will find everything you need. Little Supermarket attached to the Hotel which sells everything. We were only a short drive from the Airport on a coach (45 mins including being the 4th drop off) Location wasn't great as we like to get out most days but couldn't fault the Hotel.

We had an incredible stay at this hotel, truly a gem! The staff at reception, the management, and the team in the front shop were exceptionally friendly and caring. During our stay, our daughter experienced a medical emergency due to her blood sugar levels, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us. Their support was invaluable, and we are immensely grateful. A special shoutout to Paola, Gabriel, Aniol, and Judith—you are truly a credit to your families and the wonderful atmosphere maintained by the hotel management. The hotel itself was perfect in every way. It is modern and spotlessly clean, with a dedicated person ensuring everything sparkles daily. The food was fantastic, the pool warm and inviting, and the family entertainment delightful. We enjoyed watching the Olympics on TV, and the well-stocked shop at the front of the hotel was incredibly convenient. Additionally, the hotel is just a few minutes walk to beautiful beaches and an array of excellent restaurants. To top it all off, there is a bus stop right outside the door, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Our holiday was fantastic, and we highly recommend this hotel. This place is honestly amazing. The staff are really friendly and helpful, always willing to help. The rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast is amazing so much choice and options! There is even has a little arcade downstairs for the children.

Firstly we holidayed as a couple with no children. When we booked, we paid extra for an apartment overlooking the pool and apparently these are the ones that have most recently been renovated. We were initially on the 2nd floor but the outside music by the pool was too loud, so we paid a little more again and was moved to the 5th floor, which we could still hear the music and pool noise but not quite as bad and the sea view was beautiful. The Carrefour mini supermarket underneath the hotel is definitely handy. The apartment and the whole hotel was immaculately clean and tidy. Very spacious balcony too. The kitchenette could have been better equipped and there's a list on the inside of one of the kitchen cupboards of extra things you can ask for, which included a chopping board, glasses, coffee pot etc. But once we asked for them they were brought straight to us. We still could have done with a few extra things like a jug, bowl, cutting knives (had one steak knife and one bread knife only) Washing-up liquid and dishcloth, scrubber and teatowels supplied which was good. Reading previous reviews about the inside noise, I honestly can't say the room noise was any different from a 4 or 5 star hotel. When people were on their balconies you can definitely hear eachother, but it was very rare to hear more than the usual table and chairs being scrapped on the floor. The noise we didn't like was the pool music. It was too loud for us and sometimes went on after 9pm. It's a shame smoking is still allowed on the balconies as the smoke drifts into everyone's room which is unpleasant and being asthmatic quite troublesome, but we have to live with it at the moment. All the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly and accommodating. The snack bar wasn't our cup of tea.... more like a cheap cafeteria with formica tables. We did order some takeaway chips from there one evening as we and most of the hotel guests didn't leave the hotel as we had torrential rain all day, so thought we'd buy them to have alongside some burgers we'd bought in the mini Carrefour supermarket. We were astonished at the mini portion we were given for €3.80! Didn't venture there again. There was only one eating/bar place open in Cap Salou when we were there, because it's end of season. The Tropical bar wasn't our thing, but had a lunch of toasted sandwich and a beer on our first day because we were hungry and tired after travelling, but didn't inspire us to return. In season, there looked like there were some more eateries to choose from. But getting the buses to other towns was easy. There are some lovely little quiet coves a few minutes walk down the hill from hotel. And a beautiful coastal walk to Salou. Takes about 40-45 minutes if you didn't stop, but it's hard not to take in the lovely views and have a paddle occasionally. Buses each way along the coast and into Reus are frequent and easy and stop just down from the hotel. It's even cheaper if you purchas
