This little gem is incredible! Great modern hipster style vibe and decor. We had a seamless check-in and we're even able to check in early! Staff were so incredibly helpful and couldn't do more to share information or help us understand what's going on in the area. The double room was awesome and super clean with great beds and pillows. We loved the couch in the room, great selection at the minibar and we had a record player in the room. Breakfast was great downstairs and reasonably priced, we also were able to get a bit of a later checkout which was awesome. The area is 15 or so minute walk to the city and this awesome rooftop bakery was a super close 5 minute walk up the road (AP Bakery) - although we do recommend booking ahead. Another 15 minute walk we had the Surry Hills Markets that were great too! Overall, awesome hotel, great location and incredibly helpful staff! Would absolutely stay again.

Our room is located next to the fire exit door, so there was quite disturbing noises from the airflow after we closed to door. We complained this to the reception and they immediately seemed to be aware of what I meant - it could be seen that issues have been there for a while. And we weren’t told the issues when we checked in. So I requested to change the room as we couldn’t sleep from those noises, the reception told me there was no available my type of room and there was nothing she could do about it, she suggested to turn on the bathroom fan to reduce the noises - the bathroom fan was very loud anyways and made no difference. I had a terrible sleep that night and felt no courtesy from the staff to help me with the issues, they shouldn’t offer the room to us in the first place for such issues. Very disappointing and would not recommend to you guys.

Service was prompt. Location was v good. Generally clean. Only challenge is the lift; there are only 2 lifts and they deactivate one of them every morning not sure for what. It takes close to 15 minutes to make our way down during peak morning period. Stressful if you have a plane to catch unless you plan ahead and factor in the time needed to take the lift down.

Just an awesome hotel, The location is primo, the service and people are excellent, the food and breakfast - just outstanding, the pool is great the entire hotel is next level. If you want to go to a hotel that is near the beach and has excellent facilities and great food this is the place. We have been here 4 times in 6 months and will go again soon.

Il peggiore soggiorno del giorno del Padre che ho avuto in oltre 50 anni - la televisione non ha funzionato e abbiamo pagato un extra per avere una stanza di vista sugli oceani, ma quando si guardano tutti si vede sono edifici alti alti e pini dalla stanza - se si va al balcone e Guarda a destra c'è l'oceano - il serratura della porta balcone non funzionava e è stato tenuto da un coltello e un ostacolo ( almeno questo mi ricordava della mia infanzia 70 anni fa ) - nessun latte nel frigorifero per tè o caffè - il matto di bagno era un asciugamano per un piede solo così non c’era alcuna possibilità di 4 per la celebrazione del giorno del Padre - il cibo era buono e il personale era utile e cortese - quando ho controllato ho espresso le nostre preoccupazioni e fu detto al manager che sarebbe stato consigliato.

Chiuso al ponte e all'opera. Facile da camminare per avere una vista. Inoltre, si può prendere un tram in 5 minuti a piedi per andare ovunque si desidera.

I stayed at QT Bondi this week and while the check-in process was smooth, the second half of the stay was not great, and felt it was worth sharing as I felt dismissed and shutdown when I expressed concern to the front desk manager at the time… Sometime between 7:30-8:30 AM, renovations started outside my room. I opened the door and noticed the entire carpet on the floor was gone - with knives and power tools and workmen outside my door, and a strong chemical smell (pictures attached). I went down to the front desk to check if they were aware and asked if anything could be done (partially credited or otherwise) due to the construction, as I hadn’t been expecting this when i booked the room at full price or notified of the renovations when checking-in. She kind of smirked and looked at me like i was crazy and said “no?! because it wasn’t at night and you can still get out of your room…” I said oh thats not great is there a manager i could speak to maybe? She smirked again and said, “I am the manager.” It kind of ****** and to be honest i felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and almost made to feel small about bringing up the concern (I am not one to make a fuss or complain about something unless its a valid concern - i had to create a Trip Advisor account just to write this review.) She told me that I was given the top floor and a late check out and implied this should make up for it. I tried to explain that I hadn’t been given the option to have a different room or move my stay to a different day or made aware in advance - and this was the main issue I was trying to solve. A late check out was not helpful in this case because there were chemical smells coming into the room and also I could hear construction and the ripping up of the carpet. Extra time in the room was not helpful in this case, and I wish the front desk acknowledged this nuance with more care…. I was a solo traveler, but if it had been kids and there were knives, etc just out the door, it’s probably not the best situation. She tried to be polite to me when I came back from coffee, but i already felt uncomfortable. I think it would have been fine if not for how I was treated by the front desk. I got the sense she wanted to make me feel small for bringing my concern up, and make sure i felt uncomfortable enough not to escalate further. If booking in the near future, I would recommend double checking with front desk if there’s going to be any construction to be aware of. And to be honest, I would still point people to QT Bondi bc it’s the nicest option in the area (and I can tell it usually gets good reviews from staff, which I was looking forward to!), but personally it was an uncomfortable customer experience in the end.

I'm a uni qual Social Scientist. I'm originally from Syd but I've lived on the Gold Coast for over 28 years. I flew down to Syd on Mon 30th Oct to see a spinal surgeon at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital. I needed accommodation for 1 night. After seeing photos on the Avonmore on the Park Hotel website, I booked with them. The rooms look NOTHING LIKE THE ADVERTISED PHOTOS! This place was apparently built in the 1800's & is now showing very distinct signs of age & neglect. I had no sleep the night before I flew down as I'm in extreme spinal pain. George, the manager & owner of the business gave me a downstairs room right outside the office reception area & very close to the heavy wooden front door. There is NO soundproofing whatsoever. I could hear loud conversations at the reception desk. I had NOT ONE MINUTE OF SLEEP THE ENTIRE NIGHT. People slamming the front door & room doors throughout the building. Clomping up the wooden stairs. I could hear furniture being moved around in the room above me. I could also hear an old man's tv blasting in the room behind my bed. During the afternoon when I tried to have a rest, I could hear the cleaners 'huffing & puffing' (main one seems quite elderly) constantly & staff going to the linen closet, which for some reason was right outside my glass/timber doors leading to the small bit of grass garden. The garden was neglected. Lawn looked like it needed mowing. Outdoor furniture outside my room was covered in what looked like extensive bird poo. The other table chairs had an ash tray loaded with cigarette butts. The garden was full of dead palm fronds, ****s etc. I don't think this place pays for many cleaning/gardening hrs by staff. The mattress was so awful & pillows that I did not lay under the bedding but just on top of the bedspread. Two main chairs in the room had very severe broken springs that were sticking through the fabric. There were stains everywhere. On furniture, lamps, rugs, etc. The shower head was not cleaned out & therefore water was spraying out in all directions. The air filter on the wall in bathroom was putrid. One of the taps was missing its top. The towels were dreadful, thin white rough aged ones. There was NO bottled water in the fridge. No biscuits & only 1 tiny milk container. The fridge starting defrosting during the night & making a weird noise. I had to pull it out & turn it off. The thick dust & debris under the fridge showed the neglect of this place. My room was freezing despite it being late Spring & hot outside. The manager had to put the heater on for me. The entire room was very dusty & neglected. This place needs a COMPLETE overhaul, clean, new mattresses, bedding, pillows, lamps, rugs & furniture. George told me that he didn't own the building, just the business. I would NEVER recommend anyone staying there. I got to the hospital to see my surgeon almost delirious from NO sleep at all. Horrible, distressing experience.

Anche i piccoli dettagli possono soddisfarmi (la lampada da letto piccola è pratica e alla moda, lo specchio da passeggio si prende cura di ospiti di diverse altezze e le decorazioni blu e argento sono super divertenti per Natale). 2⃣️ Posizione unica: cammina per più di 10 minuti per ammirare l'alba sul mare nella Trenerry Reserve (l'ora dell'alba è solitamente intorno alle 5:35 da dicembre a Sydney in estate) e cammina per circa 5 minuti fino a Googee Coogee Beach (il negozio prende il caffè alle 6 del mattino) Vendita calda presto), lungo il Bondi Coogee Walking Trail e Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk, l'intero viaggio dura circa 30 minuti, e poi puoi raggiungere la bellissima Bondi Beach. Il pittoresco scenario lungo la strada, passando per il cimitero sul mare più bello del mondo (il cimitero di Waverley entra casualmente). Prenditi del tempo per nuotare o andare in kayak a Clovelly Beach...Si consiglia di venire a Sydney per giocare con gli amici sulla spiaggia e soggiornare in questo hotel per tre giorni. Non c'è bisogno di affollarsi nella costosa e affollata Bondi Beach, che è tutta nelle vicinanze. Il rapporto prezzo/prestazioni e il servizio sono molto buoni. Sotto c'è un ristorante tailandese molto autentico aperto fino alle 10, supermercati e bar nelle vicinanze sono tutti disponibili!

We loved everything about Spicer Potts Hotel in Sydney. A warm welcome from Lana with lots of information about local restaurants ( also in a lovely booklet). We tried Apollo, the Butler and Fei Jei all outstanding for food and service so the hotel knowledge was invaluable. Our room 19 was wonderful, we thought for comfort and pillows the best hotel bed ever ( we have travelled widely so feel qualified to make this judgement ). The staff were so lovely, friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast freshly cooked to order and truly delicious. We love walking and the route into the main attractions via the Botanic gardens each day was lovely. The neighbourhood has some lovely old buildings and felt safe. Special thanks to Lana who we loved though all the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would revisit. Five days was not long enough.
