Villa Otilia

We spent a week at this beautiful chambre d’hote in June last year. The modern property with its gorgeous swimming pool sits on top of a hill in beautiful gardens and has superb views over the surrounding countryside. Eric and Sylvie could not have been better hosts providing us with lots of suggestions as to where to visit and where to eat locally. In fact nothing was too much trouble to make our stay as comfortable as possible. If you like large breakfasts, you will not be disappointed! Thanks Eric and Sylvie for making our stay so enjoyable. We had a lovely stay at Villa Otilia. Eric and Sylvie are magnificant hosts. Eric will guide you through the region and Sylvie makes the most wonderful food. We most definitely recommend to stay here in the oasis in la Provence verte.

This is not a hotel, not an airbnb, not a villa, but a bed and breakfast. With this particular property, the owners have very strict rules that guests should adhere to. These rules were not explicitly stated anywhere in the property, nor in their listing. If these rules were already presented before confirming our booking, we would not have stayed here. These limitations led us to a confrontation where the owners told us that it would be better for us to leave. We have decided the following morning to leave as we were afraid of the way they were speaking to us and to preserve our mental health. We were so afraid that during the first night we slept over the bed, didn’t go under the duvet afraid to mess it up or that we might get reprimanded for anything else that we’d do next. We couldn’t sleep that after the discussion at midnight, we looked for a hotel online until 3am and left the property at 9am the next day. Also, every time we go in and out of the property, we had to inform them so they can open the gates, they don’t give a key to the guests, you wouldn’t be able to go out as you like which is a massive restriction of freedom and not part of the chart of chambré d’hôtes rules. These “rules” are not “rules” which the owners kept emphasizing. They’re quite implicit with these house rules. For them these are things a normal “educated” person would have instinctively. For me, the way they speak to us was very patronising and hostile.

Fantastic house with amazin views

As a family of 4, we stayed over for 4 days in Villa Otilia where we occupied 2 of the 3 rooms. In one word : super. The villa is situated on top of a hill with spectacular views. The whole property (house, spacious garden & swimming pool) is immaculate clean. No effort is too much for both superhosts who are available 24/7. Breakfasts (inside or outside at your own choice) as well as the three “table d’hôtes” dinners which we enjoyed in the evening were delicious. As experienced travellers we can highly recommand this small and covid-safe rural guesthouse which easily might be considered as a five star***** accomodation. All details match the highest standards, from the construction materials till the interior decoration, garden & outside furniture, bathrooms, linnen, large swimming pool with a length of 15 mtrs etc… Hospitality at the top in a quiet, secluded and safe area.

Voilà une bien belle expérience, un endroit idyllique , une maison magnifique et des propriétaires aux petits soins pour vous. Vous passerez un moment magique reposant et régénérant, merci à Éric et Sylvie qui de plus est une super cuisinière !

Des l’arrivée, on se sent bien accueilli La maison est magnifique, décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus La chambre spacieuse, la literie très bonne et la salle de bain privative très fonctionnelle. Mais le principal c’est la gentillesse de Sylvie et Eric, leur disponibilité et les échanges très sympas que nous avons eu Le repas était délicieux et le petit déjeuner copieux Que dire de plus….nous reviendrons c’est certain

Fantastique, vraiment dépaysant, un cadre idyllique et des hôtes forts sympathiques, attentionnés et serviables. la villa est d'une propreté irréprochable et les alentours appellent au calme, au repos et à la balade. La piscine et les extérieurs sont magnifiques et la décoration intérieure réalisée avec goût. A conseiller sans hésiter. Merci à Sylvie et à Eric.

La chambre et salle d’eau sont spacieuses, fonctionnelles à l’hygiène irréprochable et décorée avec gout. La douche à l’italienne est magnifique. Il y un accès direct sur un coin d’extérieur réservé. Une vue splendide sur la vallée ; un jardin immense parfaitement entretenu et libre d’accès. Il est également possible de profiter de la terrasse autour de la piscine avec ses bains de soleil. Une terrasse couverte pour manger à l’extérieur et profiter de la douceur du Sud en ce mois d’Octobre. Mais l’intérieur est également trrrès beau et parfaitement entretenu. Le petit déjeuner est super. Un grand merci à Sylvie et Eric qui sont adorables, accueillant avec cette équilibre entre savoir recevoir et savoir laisser une intimité. Pas de bavardage invasifs !
