Vista Ocean Suites

Great place to stay! Amazing oceanview, located close to the beach and best local restaurants. Gustavo, the owner, and his team are always eager to assist and provide the best service. We will definetely go back in our next visit to Costa Rica.

This is an amazing place! Spectacular ocean views on both sides with and fresh breeze keeping things cool and fresh. They have some awesome misters installed in case their is no breeze to keep the bistro and restaurant areas cool and fresh. The rooms are large with modern design and have all the amenities of home comforts. This was a favorite place to stay in Manuel Antonio, to simply relax or do a little work or meet with our clients. Defiantly recommend Vista Ocean Suites to all our family, friends and colleagues.

My partner and I absolutely loved this hotel. I felt like we were family the staff was small but perfect for the size of the boutique hotel. They’re isn’t many rooms so don’t wait to book they book fast! The owner and his family were on site to greet us, they were so amazing and local!! Which means you get to know all the personal touches that only the locals know about! The food was great, drinks were wonderful! We will be back! I can send my friends here and feel safe knowing they’ll be taken care of! BOOK FAST but don’t take my spot lol!

Great location right on the beach and in walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, and stores. Only negative thing was there was no hot water. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and definitely would stay again.

Great views with lots of wildlife sightings. Stayed in Suite 9 which was spacious and nicely decorated. The king size bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room for 2 people and the shower had good water pressure. The ac along with the fan in the bedroom kept the room cool. The kitchen had most everything we needed. Coffee provided for one day and then you’re on your own. There was a bag of coffee available for $14.99. We didn’t need a whole bag and the restaurant didn’t open early so keep this in mind if you’re an early riser and a coffee drinker. The restaurant had a limited menu and staffing seemed to be inconsistent. There was no staff available on Monday for breakfast and no one available when we returned from the beach in the afternoon and wanted something from the bar. I would avoid prepayment for breakfast as staff didn’t understand how it worked. Probably better to just order breakfast as available if you want to eat there. We prepaid for 6 breakfasts and only ate 3. We were refunded for 3 breakfasts on our last day. The dinner menu was also limited and we only ate there once. Suite 9 has views of the ocean from the front and views of the ocean and foliage from the back door and bistro area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The girl at the front desk secured taxis for us and booked activities. I left my wallet and phone at another location and she was instrumental in getting everything returned to me very quickly! The Beach Day Pass is worthwhile. For $40 pp you get $35 pp food and beverage credit as well as beach chairs, umbrella, access to pool and restrooms at the Karahe’ Beach Hotel. The food is great there and you have food and beverage service right on the beach. Lots of monkeys! The pool at Vista Ocean Suites was very refreshing after a day of excursions. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Everything in our suite was clean and the furniture was comfortable. Would have liked more places to hang wet items to dry. It was difficult to wash and find space to dry items. We needed a taxi for any excursions since we didn’t have a car and it’s a bit of a hike to the main road. We did manage to hike to Biesanz Beach and back but it wasn’t an easy hike for us. Better suited for younger and in shape people!

They are dishonest in representing their hotel and I did not read enough reviews before I booked it, realizing 8 hours later that I'd made a mistake. They would NOT refund anything even though they would not have had time to charge my card before I contacted them because it was late at night. My visa company is still trying to dispute the charge & we will be contacting our attorney if they do not resolve it. Bedbugs, guests unable to get back into hotel after dinner out, terrible parking situation, hairs on blankets on the bed, mold on curtains etc etc. I booked this almost a month before we would have stayed there but they contend they held the room for us for this time slot & would lose money. We will NOT stay at any place that has as many issues as are noted on reviews. ...and especially bed bugs!! We booked a beautiful villa not far from them & were given a totally refundable booking up until the day before arrival. Hotel Vos knows people will change their minds after reading more reviews so they have to make sure you can't get out of it.

Hotel was well staffed, clean and had great furnishings. Beds were comfortable and AC worked very well. The animals visited us throughout the day and you can see birds flying often. The pool is well maintained. Would recommend for a great place to stay.

We were in room 5. The view was very nice. We loved the patio with table and chairs and lounger. They do share space with the bar/restaurant area which was a little strange. One morning a worker walked thru our part of the patio to reach another part so not much privacy. The room was spacious with a large kitchen area but no paper towels or even a hand towel or napkins so difficult to use. The pool was nice with a view but the water was colder than we like which was weird because the ocean very near was a great temperature. The loungers around the pool definitely need cushions as they were very hard. The location is good. Not a far drive from town. The a/c in our room didn’t work very well either. Luckily the mini split is right by the bed and a ceiling fan overhead to help cool you off but don’t expect to get cold. It’s a nice place with a lot of little things that keep it from being great. If they could concentrate on the details, it would be much nicer!

Horrible place to stay, not cleaner, horrible service, la k of parking area, owner live in the place and still doesn't do anything same the "Manager", kitchen next to our room, roaxhes every where and locks not working on the main door, over price menú, they are no going to give u a refund o anything even if you deserved as the owner is greedy, and before you said I have the wrong this is VISTA OCEAN SUITES M.A.. Dont fall to this scam
