Saj by the Lake, Malshej Ghat

The staff was amazing and the view was breathtaking. It was indeed a memorable experience that will remain etched in our minds forever. Highly Recommended to anyone seeking a blissful stay. Wonderful to say the least. Do visit once and you won't regret.

Great location by the lake. Could go around half the lake. Approx 12 kms. Great view of sunset and sunrise from the property. Food at the restaurant was tasty. Buffet breakfast is good, could have been better. Overall the experience was great.

A serene location and a idyllic place for a quiet time away from the city. Good hospitality, well managed services, overall a great place. Opt for a room closer to the lake. Only drawback being that it's really in the middle of a valley, so no shops, hotels or places of medical emergency nearby.

We stayed at Saj by the lake for 2 days 1 night and the stay was really peaceful and good. Right from the checkin it was clear that the resort is premium and maintains the services as such. The room we stayed was good, clean and nice view. The restaurant at the premise is okay and was the only part we did not enjoy much. The walk/cycling near the lake is really worthwhile. Would recommend the resort to family and couples alike, being on the but pricier side wouldn’t be recommended for bachelors.

All in all a perfect stay for me & my family! The hotel cannot be faulted. The view from the rooms and the location are to die for. The Staff is very helpful and polite. We had a very nice stay for a weekend. Service is fast! A bit of maintenance is required for the rooms and the premises. Also, food was good but a bit on the pricier side, given the quantity. The continental restaurant was also devoid of any decor. Barebones. Maybe some areas of improvement are there for the hotel to look into given the price bracket they now fall into. The hotel is most recommended for families and couples. The natural beauty of the place is amazing and you would want to come back again and again to this place.

Our recent weekend stay at saj by the lake had its ups and downs, making for a mixed experience. While there are aspects worth appreciating, there are also areas where the property falls short, especially given the high price point. 1. Room condition and price: the biggest drawback was the condition of the rooms, especially considering the price. We stayed in a lake view room, which is their most premium offering, but the condition didn’t live up to the images posted online. The walls were worn, and both the room and washroom needed maintenance work. It seems like the photos on mm t are from when the property was first made, which is quite deceiving. At the current price, the stay does not feel justified; either the prices need to be adjusted, or there’s a need for significant upkeep. 2. Food, service, and staff: the food and service were definitely the highlights. The food was fresh, simple, and very tasty, and the staff was warm and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. This aspect made up for some of the shortcomings, and we had no complaints in this regard. 3. Pool: the pool was well-maintained and a decent size. While the depth is on the lower side, it was clean and enjoyable, providing a relaxing space to unwind. Overall verdict: saj by the lake is a decent option given the limited choices in the malshej ghat area, but it feels overpriced in its current condition. If the management invests in room maintenance and provides a more accurate representation, it could be a more appealing choice for travelers.
