Hotel in zona Edifício Monumental, Porto

L'hotel è molto recente, ciò vuol dire che tutto nella stanza funziona in modo egregio: il bagno ha una doccia molto spaziosa, il letto è comodissimo, c'è un televisore molto grande, la climatizzazione è sempre perfetta. La camera è inoltre molto silenziosa e nel frigobar l'acqua è gratuita per il primo giorno. Lo staff è molto gentile e la colazione offre prodotti di alta qualità. Il cambio degli asciugamani avviene quotidianamente. La collocazione non è centralissima ma buona, tenetene conto in caso di forte pioggia se siete a piedi. La stazione della Metro più vicina è Carolina Michaelis, raggiungibile a piedi in meno di 10 minuti. E' molto comoda perché transita la stessa linea che va e viene dall'aeroporto e anche le linee che portano verso il cuore della città. Il centro storico di Porto si raggiunge a piedi in 25/30 minuti in discesa, se siete stanchi per rientrare e non avete voglia di fare la salita a piedi potete utilizzate la metro. Ci sono alcuni ristoranti a breve distanza, sia alla sinistra restando nella stessa via dell'hotel, che nella vicina Rua da Rosario. Il costo della stanza è stato inoltre molto conveniente, considerando che si tratta di un 4 stelle sostanzialmente nuovo.

They were responsive to my emails prior to my arrival. My flight was delayed in Porto and arrived around 1 am when there was a staff waiting for me upon arrival (24 reception). I'd say the room was enough for me, essentials were provided such as shampoo, and body wash. The room is cleaned every day. The hotel is quite a walk from the old town though (20-30mins), and going back it is a really steepy hill so I'd advise to wear comfy shoes if you're walking to/from the hotel. Although there is a bus stop nearby and Ubers are relatively cheap. Breakfast wise- there is no hot food but you get your bread, fruit, yoghurt (continental breakfast). The staff were very helpful during my stay- very hospitable!! i would book again here to stay if I was in Porto.

The treatment I received at this hostel was despicable, unreasonable and hostile. My flight was delayed for 5 hours and whilst in airport I received a very encouraging email from 'so cool' explaining reception closes at 9pm and if I haven't checked in by then I would have to wait to the morning. Having found somewhere else to stay for that night, I turned up at this hostel the next morning, the rigid lady at reception simply wasn't interested or concerned in the least of my predicament and informed me I was a ”no show” and my room was gone for the whole 3 nights I'd booked. I asked for a partial refund for the further 2 nights as I was now having to find somewhere else to stay and would have to pay top price, she was not interested to know this and told me there would be no refund and no room. Whilst I understand policies are policies I think a bit of allowance for unforeseen circumstances wouldn't go amiss. I had no control of my flight being delayed and had I not received the welcome text reminding me of reception opening hours I would have thought twice about contacting them, their communication was confusing and had mixed messages. More unforgivably is the attitude of the manager even when she knew I had nowhere to go and would need the partial refund to secure alternative accomodation, she was not losing any money and had sold my bed twice. I have used *********** for years to book hostels and I have never received such harsh heartless treatment. Whilst I get business is business, there's more to life than a computer database and rigid rules that don't allow for unforeseen circumstances. The rigid lady tried to tell me it was *********** who cancelled me but this was just a lie,. Thankfully the 'hostel Rosalina' saved my bacon and were a fantastic contrast to ”so cool's awful treatment. The receptionist was wonderful and helpful and her friendliness reassured me Porto was not full of heartless money grabbing robots. Avoid this hostel if you're not going to be there for 9pm or you have any chance of a flight delay. .

Molto buon hotel, personale amichevole, ricevimento 24 ore occupato. Il buffet per colazione è buono, la scelta di cibo non è grande, ma molto delizioso. Si ha anche la possibilità di mangiare a buon mercato a pranzo. La nostra stanza era sul lato della strada, quindi un po' forte.

Tre giorni in settembre 2022. L'unica cosa che ti salva è la vicinanza ai luoghi emblematici di Porto. Non è una buona opzione se si cerca il prezzo; ma questo è molto costoso. Un buffet per la colazione scarsa, acquato .....Un caffè deludente. Quando si chiede di altri prodotti come uova rossate, bacon, salsicce .....me hanno risposto che questi sono fuori carta. La terrazza che fa parte dello spazio della camera, richiede molto tempo senza pulire****. Dal bagno o commento. ”...........................................................................................................” Concorda più con un hotel di un ”*”

L'hotel non è centrale ma vicino ci sono diversi autobus che raggiungono il cuore della città in 10/15minuti. L'hotel, abbastanza nuovo, è pulito e ordinato e si trova all'interno di un mercato con diversi punti per mangiare dalla mattina alla sera. Purtroppo la ns camera dava proprio sulla parte del mercato e la sera era abbastanza rumorosa. Colazione fornita ma più salato che dolce. Il personale molto cordiale e disponibile
