The Portage Resort

Amazing resort with such serene vibes and the most stunning views. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. They helped me locate my bag which got transferred to Torea bay, which they want out of their way to do. I waited at the resort while they helped me out and got to enjoy a break with the most beautiful view. Wished I would stayed here longer instead of Cowshed bay Highly recommend!!

Visited here last weekend for our wedding anniversary. Absolutely fantastic. The personalised service we received was amazing. Super friendly and very welcoming right from picking us up at the wharf and driving us to the resort until delivering us back there two days later. Food was divine! Not a large menu - but what was large was the serving sizes. Every meal we had was delicious - compliments to the chef/kitchen staff. As Mother Nature was kind to us, we enjoyed stunning views, use of resort kayaks and overall an awesome time. Highly recommend. Top marks from us and would love to visit again. Thanks again to the wonderful team.

The Portage was absolutely stunning, gorgeous location and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately Tomas, senior bar staff, was extremely rude and patronising which took the shine off a little. Our food was beautiful, rooms average but comfortable.

Pure heaven in the Marlborough Sounds. Nicely set up resort in a great location with a short boat ride from Picton. Many other places we visited had much longer rides but were not as nice as this one. The accommodations were first rate and the main reception and dining area set up well with beautiful views out to Kenepuru Sound. The staff makes this place standout as well. Most notable were Christine, Katie and Zaheed who were very kind and so helpful. It is also right on the Queen Charlotte Track with plenty of opportunity to explore more with a short boat ride. Would choose this place again given the opportunity.

Just popped down from the Queen Charlotte Track for a cheeky one on an absolute scorcher of a day!! We were parched to say the least! Bar staff were fantastic and friendly! And that thirst was soon quenched with excellent service!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great stay! The service was good, the location was beautiful, and the staff were friendly. They also provided handy service to pick up our backpacks from Torea bay and delivered to cowshed bay on the Queen Charlotte Track. Would definitely return!
