Grey Apartments

We visited in February stayed in 101, there was a mix up with our booking as we had booked twin beds, host could not move us till next day but communication was fantastic, both this and the other apartments are brilliantly located and I would not hesitate to stay again. It was a little noisy with passing pedestrians but nothing ear plugs would not solve and bathroom was massive. Tv has no TV channels but has netflix, amazon and you tube

Feb 1st -Feb 4th Just back from this fantastic property . It was ideally located for our needs. We arrived early and emailed to ask for early check in which was no problem at all . It’s a beautiful apartment fully equipped for two people . Loved the decor . It’s warm and cozy and spotless!! Free WiFi access. There’s extra bedding in a compartment in the sofa all this was explained to us via email and dealing with the owner was a pleasure and alway a prompt response. The only negative and (it’s not the owners fault), we were in 102 so the apartment up over us they were very noisy so do bring ear plugs with you . Would we stay here again ? We were given early checkin by the owner without even asking. The place is well suited for two people and was clean, warm and had some amenities such as shampoo, coffee etc. the passcode system was easy and combiner. The location is amazing right across the street from braud co and only a five slight uphill walk to bus stop 8 Hallgrimskirkja church. This is a pickup option for many your companies. Cafe Loki right down the street. It was perfect for those on foot. There is only street parking but our taxis always found spots. We had no problems and everything was clean. We didn’t have to contact the owner once we were there but prior he always answered us very quickly. We would definitely stay again or recommend. We were on the bottom basement floor and yes the streets could get a little rowdy especially with 24 hour light but it was nothing a good set of ear plugs didn’t fix. The floor between the neighbors above you is also thin, again earplugs fixed that. The bathroom was large and the kitchen easily sits two. We had apartment 101. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

It was great until we realized the sheets have never been changed since the last visit. We found blood on one of the beds all over the sheet, comforter and pillow. And there was not any extra blankets or sheets anywhere. Otherwise the place was delightful.

I'm surprised Grey Apartments don't have a higher Tripadvisor rating. They were comfortable, clean, tidy, and brilliantly located. There's a delicious bakery (Braud & Co.) just up the road and a good (and affordable by Icelandic standards) fish restaurant across the street. We were a family of four, with two young children, and it was perfect. My only complaint would be that the wi-fi was dodgy on the T.V. but it didn't detract from our visit.

The apartment was fantastic! Great location, very clean, and had everything we needed plus extra! Beds were extremely comfortable, washer/dryer combo was a nice surprise and the location cant be beat!

Delighted with our apartment on Frakkastigur ! Very cosy, nice place, with enough room for everyone. We didn't miss anything, perfectly equipped ! Ideally located in the city center, a good starting point for a city tour. Bakery and icecream shop on opposite side of the street, Bonus 2 minutes away. Bars and restaurants everywheeeeere !

Nice place but really loved it for it’s location.

The apartment was in a perfect location to do everything in town. It was cozy and perfect for our family trip of 4. Parking was expensive and at times hard to find near the apartment but overall this had everything a family needed for a cozy week.
