I had tried to feedback to management via email before resorting to tripadvisor, but after no acknowledgement in response to my concerns and hence assurance that we were just unlucky with our stay, here goes. I have also seen another review of a guest that didn’t have a particularly good stay, and tried to reach out to the hotel and did not have a response either. Hotel was nice, staff were polite, room was as described. It was our anniversary stay and a card in the room was a nice touch. But there were a few big cons; Before booking Boringdon Hall I had contacted reception to confirm they did have outdoor hot tubs, as this was a deciding factor when booking this or another spa hotel. It was confirmed yes they do, so we booked. When we had arrived it was apparent that their only outdoor hot tubs were closed. This was disappointing and would have been good to know prior to booking/arrival. I know it was March but other spa hotels do have outdoor hot tubs available for use at this time of year. Service in the restaurant was exceptionally slow, to the point of the waiters apologising to us without us saying anything. When our starters came they were cold. I was offered a free side dish, but we had already ordered everything we had wanted. The wait for dessert was soooo long, that we debated just leaving the table. Not sure why it was so slow as our table wasn’t booked until 8pm, it was almost 10pm by the time we actually got our desserts. The next morning, we experienced the same very slow service despite hardly any other guests in the restaurant. Not quite sure if we were unlucky both times or what the case was, certainly not what you’d expect for a restaurant of a 5* hotel… The food was lovely and of good quality but the wait in the restaurants, for both meals, made it quite a bad experience of eating here. Upon checkout, I asked for an itemised bill as it did seem a bit more expensive than we had expected! When I had looked, the drinks on the bill were more than what was advertised on the menus at the bar!!! This doesn’t seem right, fortunately I checked and the receptionist managed to sort it. Be careful if you stay here that you check your bill as I bet they have overcharged many people! A few changes and our stay would have been fantastic, but it was disappointing for our anniversary.

Rimasi per il matrimonio familiare. La posizione del luogo era a pochi passi dall'hotel. Da quando siamo arrivati, il personale era assolutamente bello. Ho chiesto di cambiare le stanze all'arrivo, perché la stanza era vicino alla ricezione e mi preoccupavo che potessero diventare rumorosi con le persone che vengono e vanno. Siamo stati cambiati subito senza alcun problema. Siamo stati anche migliorati. Non c'era nulla di troppo. Mi sono preoccupato un po' dopo aver letto le recensioni degli hotel, perché ho anche raccomandato l'hotel ad altri membri della famiglia che partecipano al matrimonio. Questo è stato il 2° Copthorne Hotel che ho soggiornato nell'altro essere Manchester qualche anno fa e posso dire sinceramente che entrambe le esperienze sono state positive.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevole grazie al servizio clienti. Gabriela L dalla ricezione è stata molto utile e ha fornito un servizio meraviglioso - grazie. La camera era grande e il letto di dimensioni reali era v comodo. Il letto di divano non era comodo per dormire. Alcune altre questioni erano - il rumore dal corridoio quando i vicini chiusi le porte e il ristorante sopra (come ci siamo fermati al piano 10). Il coni d'aria non funzionava e il riciclaggio del bagno era bloccato.

Lovely welcome & check in from reception. Breakfast check in not so nice, & she had a real attitude with us picking where we wanted to sit. It was really early & we had just woken up, the lady being so regimental & forceful with us ruined breakfast really. She needed to recognise we are on a weekend break, not children being seated in the school dining hall. We had to ask her to back away from us as she was speaking so loudly so early, & ordering us about, then she walked away bad mouthing us to other staff members when she was actually the one making things awful. Apart from that we enjoyed the stay. Nice old fashioned style rooms. We had lots of space with a large bed & large TV so was very happy with the room. Pretty flower wallpaper & a nice traditional feel to the decor. Very good value for the price we paid. Thank you

From arrival to departure, was a pleasure t o be there. The whole place, from communal area to bedrooms was decorated to a very high standard. Everywhere was spotless and the whole building smelled clean and fresh. My friend and I were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The room was well equipped and the beds were really comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and the 'Full English' was cooked to perfection!! I have already recommended to friends and if ever I need to stay in Plymouth again, I will be sure to return to Cassandra Guest House. Excellent all round. All the best and thank you - Michelle

Ben attrezzata, pulita e funzionale. La posizione era grande e camminabile per tutto. Perfetto per il teatro, letteralmente a 100 metri di distanza. Parcheggio auto economico lungo la strada e aveva super veloci caricatori EV. Sei in mezzo a tutto questo, in una serata di sabato occupata, hai fatto passare tutti i rivelatori, ma mi è piaciuto. Se vuoi andare tranquillo a un rientro forestale ;) Il letto era comodo, la TV aveva molti canali e la cucina ha tutto da fare per fare i pasti di base. Ci sono stati chiesti per un deposito di 100 sterline che non abbiamo realizzato quando facevamo la prenotazione, ma sulla base di ciò non eravamo per distruggere qualcosa che non avevamo intenzione di pagare.

We stayed at this Premier Inn for 1 night on 24th March on a stopover to Cornwall. The location is perfect for exploring Plymouth. Parking was £6 for 24 hours which is fairly good for a city centre location. When we initially got to our room (303), it was too hot. We immediately opened the window, however the road noise was very loud so resorted to the Air Conditioning. This clearly hadn't been serviced in a while as when it was on it made the sound of water trickling regularly. So we substituted an average night sleep with having the window open and the loud road noise. The shower and hand basin was pretty much pointless. The hand basin tap had an awful flow of pressure with a small squirt coming out. Removing the pressure reducer resolved this issue. However the shower pressure was ridiculous, to the point it didn't remove shampoo from the hair. The WiFi as others have said was practically useless, I upgraded to ultimate WiFi and the speed was below 1mb p/s across Android, Windows & iOS Devices. As for the bedroom cleanliness, it wasn't great - hairs in the shower and markings on the pillow. On checkout, team members were more interested in having a discussion at the reception desk than offering a ”Thankyou, Goodbye” to guests. We wouldn't choose to return to this Premier Inn in the future.

La stanza è confortevole con un bel bagno moderno, una doccia buona e un sacco di tè e caffè. Il pranzo è stato eccellente con cereali, succhi e frutta per integrare un completo inglese, vegetariano e uova sulle opzioni di tosta. Resterò qui di nuovo e consiglierei di soggiornare a Old Pier House se avete bisogno di alloggio a Plymouth.

Ben attrezzata, pulita e funzionale. La posizione era grande e camminabile per tutto. Perfetto per il teatro, letteralmente a 100 metri di distanza. Parcheggio auto economico lungo la strada e aveva super veloci caricatori EV. Sei in mezzo a tutto questo, in una serata di sabato occupata, hai fatto passare tutti i rivelatori, ma mi è piaciuto. Se vuoi andare tranquillo a un rientro forestale ;) Il letto era comodo, la TV aveva molti canali e la cucina ha tutto da fare per fare i pasti di base. Ci sono stati chiesti per un deposito di 100 sterline che non abbiamo realizzato quando facevamo la prenotazione, ma sulla base di ciò non eravamo per distruggere qualcosa che non avevamo intenzione di pagare.

Che grande hotel - perfettamente posizionato per il teatro, ristoranti e visitare la città/supposti. È facile anche avere parcheggio gratuito, prima arrivare prima servito. La nostra camera da letto (siamo stati aggiornati all'arrivo) è molto spaziosa e pulita. È stato particolarmente bello avere sedie a sedere nella stanza per rendere più confortevole sedere e leggere senza dover perquisire il letto o sedere sulla sedia da tavolo. L'hotel offre una grande scelta per colazione - succhi di frutta, yogurt, frutta, cereali, croissants, ecc., così come una grande scelta di opzioni calde. Più importante per il piacere del nostro soggiorno è stato che tutti i membri del personale ci hanno fatto sentire molto benvenuti e hanno fatto tutto con un vero sorriso.

I had tried to feedback to management via email before resorting to tripadvisor, but after no acknowledgement in response to my concerns and hence assurance that we were just unlucky with our stay, here goes. I have also seen another review of a guest that didn’t have a particularly good stay, and tried to reach out to the hotel and did not have a response either. Hotel was nice, staff were polite, room was as described. It was our anniversary stay and a card in the room was a nice touch. But there were a few big cons; Before booking Boringdon Hall I had contacted reception to confirm they did have outdoor hot tubs, as this was a deciding factor when booking this or another spa hotel. It was confirmed yes they do, so we booked. When we had arrived it was apparent that their only outdoor hot tubs were closed. This was disappointing and would have been good to know prior to booking/arrival. I know it was March but other spa hotels do have outdoor hot tubs available for use at this time of year. Service in the restaurant was exceptionally slow, to the point of the waiters apologising to us without us saying anything. When our starters came they were cold. I was offered a free side dish, but we had already ordered everything we had wanted. The wait for dessert was soooo long, that we debated just leaving the table. Not sure why it was so slow as our table wasn’t booked until 8pm, it was almost 10pm by the time we actually got our desserts. The next morning, we experienced the same very slow service despite hardly any other guests in the restaurant. Not quite sure if we were unlucky both times or what the case was, certainly not what you’d expect for a restaurant of a 5* hotel… The food was lovely and of good quality but the wait in the restaurants, for both meals, made it quite a bad experience of eating here. Upon checkout, I asked for an itemised bill as it did seem a bit more expensive than we had expected! When I had looked, the drinks on the bill were more than what was advertised on the menus at the bar!!! This doesn’t seem right, fortunately I checked and the receptionist managed to sort it. Be careful if you stay here that you check your bill as I bet they have overcharged many people! A few changes and our stay would have been fantastic, but it was disappointing for our anniversary.
