The hotel is so quaint and you feel like you are in a mini private villa. The staff is amazing, friendly and very accommodating. The beach is 2 minutes away, accessible by a private path, so lovely. You can choose to do so many amazing activities, from Surf, Yoga, poolside chilling all the way to many different exciting excursions! An amazing little piece of paradise! We will be back and thank you to El Manglar.

The property was very stylish and well laid out. The beach access was also very nice with keyless entry with a code.
We did have an issue with very loud guests at the pool one day, but they settled them down. The hot water had to be fixed (brrrrr), but the staff was very helpful with meeting our needs. I enjoyed the time there although we couldn't get the tv to work for the whole trip. We really enjoyed the refreshing pool and pool-side lounging areas. The restaurants around the hotel were very good and walkable.

The staff at reception are warm and friendly. The room was a reasonable size but could have done with a little tlc. There wasn't really anywhere to hang or store clothes and the little ants ocassionally made their way onto the bed. The pool and grounds were pretty and it was a stone's throw from a gorgeous beach. We tried the 2 closest restaurants and both were good and had entertainment at the weekend.

Good accommodation but not a ‘villa’ and quite a dark apar**ent.
Primary problem was development noise (hammering / drilling) next door stopped us sitting outside or using the pool.
Also the gardener was using a leaf blower whilst we were at the pool - too much noise - we had to leave the pool - give him a broom !!

Staff was friendly. The room was clean and well equipped. We had an overall nice experience. We found however that the price was a bit costly from what the hotel offers.

The area is beautiful with a natural beach. The hotel was in need of some TLC with a taped together shower, slightly dingy room and rats / ants. However the aircon worked well and the staff were helpful, finding a solution to our broken safe & booking us into a turtle tour.

This is my second time at Hotel El manglar. Each time I've been sad to leave. It is a private and quiet small hotel that offered great service. The concierge desk will help you book any excursion or transportation. They helped us arrange surf lessons and a tour through the manglar forrest where we saw MONKEYS! Our time in costa rica was so Special but the service we experience here made it even better. I can't wait to visit again. only con is that the wifi service in the room wasn't as strong but who needs wifi on vacation? not me.
