Tuve un problema con el personal de seguridad; no termine mi comida en el restaurante del hotel y pedí que me la pusieran para llevar, al día siguiente vi unos perritos callejeros frente a mi habitación y les di de comer, cuando de repente el señor de seguridad me empezó a gritar en inglés (yo no hablo bien ingles) y por lo que entendí andaba gritandome muy fuerte que no le diera de comer a los perros, pero ya me dio miedo quitarles la comida que tal si me gruñian o me mordian, después de que terminaron de comer el señor se hacerco a mi y me empezó a reclamar en inglés y le dije que yo no entendía bien ingles y fue por otra persona que hablaba español esta persona mucho más tranquilo me explico el motivo y pues le pedí disculpas, y el tipo de seguridad se fue caminando y en ese momento seguía refunfuñando y faltando al respeto por lo que le dije que si había entendido la grosería y se regresó a gritarme más a unos 20 cm de mi.
Que falta de servicio y de atención tiene, hubiera estado bien mi estadía si no fuese por ese tipo ya después me dieron ganas de irme de ese hotel.

For the out of the beat location, it is a little gem! Very welcoming, quiet, clean and friendly personnel. The Pacific is your backyard and it does not disappoint. If you are just looking for chill time, this is the spot. A real Pura Vida experience.

Be aware Non realiable manager He requested our services for horseback tours We gave the service but the hotel management didnt paid. This is the last resource for us to try to get decently This is how i make a living Renting horses. This hotel abused of Me trusting them

Our stay was so good, we returned for the last 3 days of our vacation. Chad was very helpful, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The food was great, the staff was awesome and friendly. Beach is just across the road, and oh, what a beach it is, with lounge chairs. Amazing sunsets and sunrises. Boogie boards used, borrowed from resort. The rooms were big, clean, had safes, and AC. My only concern was that the locks on the sliding doors don't lock, and you had to use a plastic pipe to block the slider. We will stay here again.

Faded glory comes to mind. Security when we arrived was a bit over the top which then made us think we should be super vigilant. Large room with a nice patio facing the sea. Patio furniture was dirty and bits missing. Bug screen was torn and useless. The lock on the patio door didn’t work so had to use a large pole against the window to secure the room. The bathroom smelt of bad drains and the taps were covered in limescale. Loved the highly decorated sinks and big shower with plenty of hot water. The beautiful beach is a short walk across the road and there are some beach chairs. We were able to borrow boogie boards from the hotel. The hotel pool is very warm, with not much shade but the guy at the pool bar makes fantastic margaritas. Restaurant was just okay. Staff were all lovely.

Best customer service, beautiful sunsets. Great food Las Brisas restaurant, pet friendly. Swimming 🏊♂️ pool open 24 hours. Beach across the hotel. Cocomar definitely the best place to stay when you visit Costa Rica 🇨🇷 😎🏖️☀️🏊♂️🌴🫶⛱️🌴☀️❤️🍾🌴 Pura vida

The Hotel Cocomar Resort is on a deserted beach called Palo Seco (Dry Stick in English). This is civilized hotel in a rustic beach area. The beach is gorgeous black volcanic very fine sand ... powder sand. Look up and down for miles and you might see 1 or 2 people! The staff are super! The rooms are big and have frig, AC, microwave, most rooms have ocean views with nice patio balconies! The restaurant on-site is Las Brisas and the food is 1st rate quality, make sure to eat dinner here as it is prepared by terrific chef Pito who is well respected for his high cuisine! The pool is very nice. This is a regular return place because it has the setting, the nice quality rooms, staff and restaurant! Highly recommend if your looking for very nice place that has a native feel and off the typical tourist path. Oh yeah and it has 24/7 onsite security!

Great beach access. Wonderful service. Total security and great food. What more could you ask for. The staff was very accommodating as this was a last minute booking. They spoke excellent English and completely understood our interests. We had dinner and breakfast and were very pleased with the selection and quality. We hope to stay again on our return trip in a couple of weeks.

We recently enjoyed two different stays! If you’re looking for a nice, quiet beach and a comfortable place to stay with great service & helpful staff…check out Cocomar. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked in with Susana…loved the Piña Coladas & great food! We enjoyed the hotel pool and short walk to the beach with chairs & shade.
