La sorgente termale di Yudanaka è relativamente vicina a Jigokudani Monuen, a 20 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. Va notato che puoi prendere la stazione prima delle 17:00. Siamo arrivati alle 17:30, ma il capo ha detto che non potevamo ritirare . Anche se la distanza non è lunga, ci vuole comunque un po' di tempo per camminare sulla strada di montagna. Puoi anche prendere un autobus che passa ogni mezz'ora.
⭐Servizio:
Ci sono due negozianti che ti servono e il loro atteggiamento è molto buono. Ti aiuteranno a consegnare i tuoi bagagli al bar vicino alla stazione quando viaggerai il giorno successivo. Da notare che se fai il check-in dopo le 15 non potrai telefonare la mattina. Ho lasciato qualcosa in camera Dopo tre chiamate non ha risposto nessuno il negozio per riprenderlo.
⭐Servizi:
La disposizione delle camere è relativamente semplice e le strutture sono relativamente semplici. A dire il vero, il riscaldamento è relativamente piccolo e fa un po' freddo di notte. Non c'è né doccia né WC e il lavandino ha solo acqua fredda. Le docce e le sorgenti termali devono essere pagate a parte, 500 yen. I bagni pubblici (tutti i piccoli hotel in stile giapponese sono così) sono molto puliti, perché ci sono poche stanze e pochi ospiti, e non hai mai toccato nessun altro nel bagno. . In ogni caso il rapporto prezzo/prestazioni è abbastanza buono.
⭐Pasti:
Il nostro ordine includeva cena e colazione, ma le porzioni erano piccole e non sufficienti a saziarci. Assicurati di comprare del cibo da Lawson quando esci dalla stazione. Non ci sono minimarket nella strada delle sorgenti termali! L'acqua minerale non viene fornita ed è previsto un costo aggiuntivo di +100 yen.
⭐Sorgente termale:
Puoi immergerti in 9 zuppe per strada, ma c'è solo una chiave, quindi devi andarci separatamente. La zuppa privata nel negozio si trova in B1. È relativamente semplice, ha molta umidità e non è molto pulita. Si consiglia di andare alla zuppa pubblica. Anche se il capo ha detto che non c'è posto per fare il bagno nel bagno pubblico, quindi puoi comprare solo un bagno privato con doccia, il che è un po' imbarazzante.

UUtente ospiteWe had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed every moment. The hostess is incredibly welcoming and a genuinely lovely person — she even kindly drove us to the train station, which we deeply appreciated.
The breakfast was outstanding, and the onsen was beautiful and very peaceful. Having a private onsen was especially convenient, as it allowed us to enjoy the experience together as a family without needing to separate.
Our room was very spacious and authentically Japanese, with excellent-quality bedding. The mattresses, pillows, and high quality shits were exceptionally comfortable and made for a perfect night’s sleep.
A lovely touch was the complimentary milk served in adorable small glass bottles — delicious and charming.
The location is simply ideal: perfectly situated near public onsens and great restaurants, truly the best location one could imagine.
We would happily return and highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for comfort, authenticity, and warm hospitality.

UUtente ospiteAbbiamo apprezzato molto il posto; avere un bagno privato in camera ha migliorato notevolmente il relax e ci ha permesso di apprezzare appieno l'esperienza tradizionale.
Per quanto riguarda i servizi, tutto era generalmente buono. Poter utilizzare tutti i bagni del ryokan ha reso l'esperienza più piacevole. La camera era un po' polverosa, ma nel complesso andava bene.
Per quanto riguarda il servizio, la cena è stata molto buona, ma vale la pena notare che se si chiede un consiglio, esitano a darne uno perché è al di fuori del loro repertorio abituale. La colazione, dal nostro punto di vista, è stata un po' meno curata; è già apparecchiata sul tavolo e non viene spiegata come avviene a cena. Allo stesso modo, durante il nostro soggiorno, abbiamo avuto l'impressione che il personale non fosse molto attento agli ospiti e non ci abbia informato su tutti i servizi offerti.
Gli yukata possono essere acquistati in hotel per circa 5.000 yen.

UUtente anonimoIt's a 10 mins walk uphill from train station so maybe better to try to contact them for a complimentary pick up.
The place is super grand and 2 onsens. A Instagram worthy one that the males and females get to use it at different timings. The shower stuff in the onsen are mediocre though. No fancy facial stuff for women unlike some other onsens at this price range.
We had breakfast and dinner for the 2 nights. And well worth it. But you have to follow a fixed timing and we felt a bit rushed but otherwise it was really great and service perfect.
We had one the biggest rooms I believe Room 716. Had a sitting area and also a sleeping area. Easily fits 8 persons. We were only 2. In the day they kept the futons and brought it out at night. Towels changed every night.
There is a van that goes straight to Mount Yokoteyama ski resort. The receptionist didn't seem to know about it but you could try to Google. It was a complimentary ride to and fro if you bought the lift tickets. Took only like 30 mins to get there. You can get rentals at hotels there.

UUtente ospiteAmazing Stay at Hotel Iwasuge – A Hidden Gem for Ski & Onsen Lovers!
We had an incredible stay at Hotel Iwasuge, which truly became the highlight of our trip. While the interior may be a bit dated, the five-star service and exceptional food more than made up for it. We stayed for two nights on a half-board plan, and every meal was different, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The hospitality was outstanding—every staff member was incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home.
The location is perfect for skiing, with ski-in, ski-out access. There are two lifts right next to the hotel—one going up and one going down. The slopes nearby offer a mix of red and green tracks, making them ideal for beginners and families. Our kids especially loved the wide, easy slopes. We also rented ski equipment directly from the hotel (though helmets were not included).
After a long day on the slopes, the Hoppo Onsen was the perfect way to relax. The onsen itself is so good that we noticed some visitors coming just for the hot spring experience!
We have stayed in many four- and five-star hotels, and Hotel Iwasuge is truly one of the best. It may not be as widely known, but it absolutely deserves more recognition. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic ski, onsen, and gourmet experience in Shiga Kogen. We can’t wait to return!

WWuyayizhiIl servizio di trasferimento dell'hotel alla stazione di Yudanaka mi ha fatto un'ottima prima impressione. Sebbene le strutture siano un po' datate, il personale è molto cordiale, la camera è molto spaziosa e c'è una sorgente termale privata. Ogni mattina, l'hotel offre anche un servizio gratuito di trasferimento per lo Snow Monkey Park. Tuttavia, c'è una piccola pecca nel servizio che ho riscontrato personalmente. Al momento del check-in, l'hotel mi ha informato che il ritorno dallo Snow Monkey Park era previsto per le 12:00, giusto in tempo per l'autobus delle 12:30 per Nagano, ma in realtà erano le 12:30 del giorno dopo. Ho dovuto prendere l'autobus successivo per tornare a Nagano. Dato che c'erano meno autobus, era in ritardo di circa un'ora e mezza.

UUtente ospiteLocated just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!

Note: restaurant is by reservation only. Dinner snow crab dinner is worth the price. Open bar. Also cash only needed do the hotel tax due at arrival.

UUtente ospiteWe really enjoyed our stay at Shiga Kogen Sunvalley hotel. It's only a 20 mins bus ride from the Snow Monkey Park. The bus stop (S15) is about 100m away but when it's heavily snowing, it could be a little difficult to pull your luggage across the road. During the winter season, there's a free shuttle bus that takes you around the different resorts. The hotel also has ski rentals and the pricing is very reasonable and convenient for hotel guests to pickup and drop-off. The onsite onsen and sauna is clean and well maintained. We had breakfast included - food selection is good with a mix of Western and Japanese cuisine. Dinner required reservation and you have a choice of Japanese set course, or a casual course. Usui and the team really know how to provide great hospitality and we really enjoyed our stay.

TTanin PhannithiEasy to go to Giant Ski Area because there is a slope to ski area directly. But I don't recommend for beginner to go ski area from this slope. And you can't go back to the hotel from this way, you have to go back by gondola to Yamanoeki and walk 300m. Too far if you walk with skies or snowboard.
Yukata is not free of charge, you have to pay 300 yens for rent. There is a shower room in your room but you can't use it because there is ONLY cold water(hot water doesn't work).
Some breakfast menu is not enough for customers. But dinner is ok.
