Servizi dell'hotel, personale eccellente. La posizione è un po' fuori strada, siamo andati al bus superiore a Kamikochi dopo un viaggio in alto e hanno avuto autobus lì per prendere noi per un 5 minuti di viaggio in hotel, quindi la posizione non è esattamente accessibile Salutato dal personale, ci ha presentati alla località del pasto e a Onsen. La stanza era piccola, ma circa quello che era stato detto dal loro sito web. Anche il pasto era piacevole, non tutto mi ha adattato al gusto, ma posso dire che era cucinato con un sforzo. Il ciliegio era di dimensioni decenti e l'acqua era molto meglio di altri luoghi che sono stato, anche io sono molto simile allo shampoo che usavano. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped by a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our room was a perfect sanctuary—spacious, meticulously clean, and adorned with subtle touches of Japanese artistry. The panoramic views of the Japanese Alps from our window were nothing short of breathtaking, especially when the mountains were bathed in the soft glow of sunrise. The traditional tatami flooring and comfortable futon bedding provided an authentic experience without sacrificing comfort. One of the standout features of Shoho is its exceptional onsen facilities. Soaking in the natural hot springs while gazing at the picturesque scenery was incredibly rejuvenating. The rotenburo (outdoor bath) offered a tranquil escape where the stresses of daily life simply melted away. The hotel's attention to detail extended to these spaces, with beautifully crafted woodwork and stone elements enhancing the overall atmosphere. Culinary delights awaited us at every meal. The kaiseki dinner was a masterpiece—a multi-course feast that highlighted seasonal and local ingredients. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive, offering a wide array of both Japanese and Western options to suit all palates. The staff at Shoho went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. Their genuine hospitality was evident in every interaction, from assisting with our luggage to offering insightful recommendations on local attractions. Despite any language barriers, their kindness and professionalism shone through. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring the rich cultural heritage of Matsumoto. We were just a short drive from the iconic Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan's most beautiful original castles. Strolling through the historic Nakamachi Street with its classic white-walled storehouses turned boutique shops and cafes was a delightful way to spend an afternoon. In addition to its proximity to cultural sites, Shoho serves as a great base for nature enthusiasts. The nearby Kamikochi Valley offers stunning hiking trails that showcase the unspoiled beauty of the Japanese Alps. Returning to the comfort of the hotel after a day of exploration was something we looked forward to, especially knowing a soothing onsen soak awaited us. In summary, Shoho encapsulates the essence of Japanese hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated to provide comfort, relaxation, and cultural enrichment. We left feeling deeply refreshed and with a greater appreciation for the wonders of Matsumoto. Shoho is more than just a place to stay—it's an experience that lingers long after you've departed. E posso dire che questa catena è uno dei migliori hotel in Giappone. - Anche la camera è piccola, ma il letto inferiore lo rende più spazioso. Fukashiso could be one of the loveliest accommodation that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is so beautiful and quaint. Traditional garments are provided as an option if you want to dress up for dinner. Made for great photo ops! The Kaiseki was the most beautiful equivalent of a degustation I’ve tried, and it was served in a lovely separate intimate dining area. During dinner Nobu-San a fourth generation family member of the owners greeted us which was a lovely touch. Soba was freshly made at the accomodation. We stayed two nights and the Kaiseki menu was different each time. Breakfast was a nice assortment of Japanese and Western options and the coffee machine was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the onsens, there are two public ones that switch locations for men and women and a private one. They were well equipped and relaxing. Our room was on Level 1 with a private bathroom, seating area and little garden view. Overall this place is highly recommended. For a traditional ryokan experience, it was so nice. Even after we checked out, the receptionist gave us a little gift, and even walked us outside to where our car was parked. Such a warm and lovely place. Stay here for sure!

La stanza è di dimensioni normali e il materasso è abbastanza comodo. La colazione era molto buona! Le verdure consegnate direttamente dalla fattoria sono freschissime. La sera gli ospiti dell'hotel riceveranno anche spuntini di mezzanotte gratuiti~ Non lontano da JR e vicino alla strada del cibo, è molto comodo mangiare. Matsumoto non è lontano da Hakuba, ma è un peccato che mi sia fermata e non abbia avuto il tempo di fare shopping. Torna la prossima volta! Simple hotel with good price. All the required amenities and service available. Hotel seems to have a long history. Simple set breakfast is well appreciated. Hotel entrance could do with a ramp for ease of carrying luggage.

Ho avuto l'occasione di rimanere in un ryokan giapponese tradizionale, ed è stata un'esperienza inoltrabile; dal momento che sono arrivato, sono stato accolto con calda ospitalità, che mi ha fatto sentire a casa. Il ryokan è stato ben progettato con architettura classica giapponese, pavimento di matta tatami. La mia stanza era serena e minimalista, con un confortevole futon messo sulle matite tatami, e mi piaceva in particolare portarle iukata e camminare intorno al ryokan, che si sentiva completamente immersa nella cultura giapponese. Uno dei punti di vista del mio soggiorno era il bagno di primavera caldo, e il soffoco nell'acqua calda era incredibilmente rilassante e raffreddante. Rimanendo in un ryokan mi ha consentito di sperimentare la calma, la semplicità e la bellezza della vita tradizionale giapponese. Ci ha guidati in sicurezza all’hotel, anche se avevamo già controllato, e ci ha accolti con tè e biscotti per tenerci caldi mentre aspettavamo. La sua attenzione e dedizione sono andate ben oltre il dovere, e la sua gentilezza ha trasformato una situazione stressante in una memoria toccante.Grazie sincere per questa genuina ospitezza, è qualcosa che non dimenticheremo mai.

Outdoor temperature was around –3°C, but the ryokan felt even colder because some sections were open to the outdoors. The walkway from the rooms to the onsen is uncovered, so there’s no way to avoid the cold. I had to wear my winter jacket just to walk to the public bath. There is a private bath option, but the one assigned to me was far too hot — I couldn’t even step into the water. The public bath is a very small indoor pool, probably suitable for 2–3 people at most. There is no shower in the room, so using the public bath is unavoidable. The room itself was very cold. On top of that, I had to carry my own 25-inch luggage up three floors as there is no lift, so this place is not suitable if you can’t manage your own luggage. Dinner was disappointing — just soba and a simple soup with pork and some vegetables and mushrooms.
