UUtente ospiteVery atmospheric and cozy ryokan. Traditional style room and majestic mountains view are breathtaking.
The food is fantastic, you dine privately in peace and also provided with unlimited amount of drinks for 90 minutes.
There are private and common (men/women) baths available. Water temperature is comfortable and magically washes away your fatigue.
Personnel is kind and helpful, they used translator to explain everything to me.
I was provided with shuttle bus on check-in and check-out to nearby station (kawaryo onsen station).
This place is perfect if you want to detox from city bustle and cleanse your thoughts.
Nearby konbini is 1h away on foot (or 15 min on car) so I advise you to stock up your supplies in advance if you need any.

NNMVOur overnight stay at this hotel in Kusatsu was simply the best we've experienced in Japan. We arrived a bit early and we were allowed to check in before 3 as there was a room available. The service was excellent, and the room was spacious, complete with all the amenities we needed. Although the shower was located downstairs in the private onsen, it was never crowded, and I had the onsen all to myself. The hotel also provided us with yukatas, adding a lovely traditional touch to our stay.
Breakfast was served in our room in the morning, and the staff graciously accommodated our request to change the breakfast time, as we wanted to visit an onsen that opened at 9 AM. The hotel was impeccably clean, and we slept like babies that night.
I would love to stay here again on our next visit to Kusatsu. とても良い所でした、有難う 😊❤️

UUtente ospiteA relax and nice view in Kusatsu. The hotel is located a bit far from bus terminal. However, there is a free shuttle bus service which connected with bus service.
I strongly encourage the private onsen package where we can taste three different type of onsen in the hotel.
My platinum ring changed colour, may be due to the acidity of onsen water😂.
The dinner and breakfast inspired and it is good for family trip with a number of accessible service for elderly with physically limitations.

UUtente ospiteOne of the more superior ryokans we stayed in. Awesome onsen, both indoors and outdoors, with excellent service from all staff. Upon entering the car park, staff will come with umbrellas to help with luggage and it was a very very light drizzle. We had dinner in the room and breakfast in the common area but still segregated for privacy. The food was delicious- we had wagyu and enjoyed it very much. When we left, the owner’s daughter was sending us off at the entrance. 100% would return for another stay if we venture to Kusatsu onsen again.

Edilizia e impianti
L'hotel dispone di tre isolati, tutti collegati attraverso l'edificio principale, quindi si passa sempre attraverso di esso.
La maggior parte delle buone cose – fonti calde, buffet ecc. – è nell'edificio dell'allegato dove sono rimasto, quindi è stato davvero conveniente, solo nessuna vista Yubatake (che è solo per le principali camere di costruzione).
Localizzazione & mini zona commerciale
Essi hanno letteralmente la propria zona commerciale sul primo piano del palazzo principale, a destra di Yubatake e la calda strada primavera, in modo che si possa andare fuori dall'hotel a yukata e iniziare a navigare.
Super facile da mangiare, negozio, poi saltare in mente senza sentirsi come se tu fossi “svenuto”.
Trasporti e camminare in neve
C'è un autobus per il più vicino fermo di trasporto pubblico, quindi i giorni di bagaglio sono facili.
Puoi camminare in meno di 10 minuti, ma in stagione neve la strada diventa gelata e folle, quindi sinceramente non consigliata a meno che non ti fidi delle scarpe (e del tuo equilibrio).
Personale e energia di servizio
Il personale dell'hotel è fantastico – super amichevole e davvero proattivo.
Oltre al giapponese e all'inglese, alcuni membri del personale parlano mandarino e si accenderanno a lui per aiutarvi a uscire, e anche offriranno di prendere foto per voi prima di avere la possibilità di chiedere, che è perfetto per i viaggiatori solitari o umili.

Ryokan in stile tradizionale giapponese ristrutturato. Manca ancora qualcosa, come il riscaldamento, quindi è necessario installarne di nuovi in tutto l'edificio. Posizione vicino al punto di riferimento di Kusatsu Onsen. Il personale è gentile e il servizio (Omotenashi) è ottimo. La colazione è buona, ma un po' anticipata (fine alle 9:00). L'Onsen è splendido. La camera è spaziosa e luminosa. Federa e lenzuola del futon avrebbero bisogno di maggiore pulizia. Nessun segnale Wi-Fi in camera, bisogna andare nella hall.

UUtente ospiteGenerally the hotel has been renovated so it has clean and new facilities. However, some items like the TV is dated. It had a large carpark (free) if you are driving.
The onsen is clean and modern. You can make use of their sister hotel’s onsen just next door. Free coffee and pastries provided in the afternoon.
The hotel also provide Yukata and Japanese style slipper for guest. It would be better if they provided a basket instead of plastic bag for guest to carry their belongings around when going for bath.

UUtente ospiteHo soggiornato in questo ostello onsen e ho avuto una piacevole esperienza. La posizione è eccellente molto conveniente per esplorare la zona. Il personale parlava inglese, che ha reso la comunicazione ben, e il luogo aveva una bella miscela di atmosfera giapponese e occidentale. Tutto era pulito e confortevole. Ciò detto, sperava di avere un'esperienza più tradizionale e autentica di onsen. Tuttavia, è una grande opzione per i viaggiatori che cercano comfort e accessibilità.

MmathemathusMy stay at Kamenoi Hotel Kusatsu was excellent. The onsen was very clean and quite spacious, making it a relaxing experience. The hotel also has a convenient shortcut that leads directly to the Yubatake pedestrian area, which is a big plus.
Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes — plenty of options and all very enjoyable. The service was great, and the room was comfortable to sleep in.
The only downside is that there were a bit too few power outlets in the room, but it wasn’t a major problem.
Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Kusatsu.
