I recently stayed at Hotel Ocidental Dresden Newa, and while the property benefits from a central location in the inner city, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel’s greatest advantage is indeed its proximity to the city center, allowing convenient access to major attractions and public transportation. However, aside from this, the stay was overshadowed by several shortcomings.
Firstly, the amenities were very limited, and the guest room itself appeared dated and somewhat worn, reflecting the age of the hotel. This left an impression of tiredness rather than comfort.
The most concerning issue, however, relates to the parking situation. The hotel advertises that it offers its own parking facilities, yet in reality, this is not the case. Guests are required to use a public parking facility nearby, which is misleading and highly inconvenient. This information should be corrected immediately, as it creates false expectations for visitors arriving by car.
Additionally, the area in front of the hotel is consistently overcrowded with parked vehicles, often blocking arriving guests from accessing the entrance or unloading luggage during check-in. This further contributed to a frustrating arrival experience.
In conclusion, while the central location is undeniably practical, the limited amenities, outdated rooms, misleading information about parking, and poorly managed entrance area significantly detract from the overall quality of the stay. I would strongly recommend the management address these issues to ensure a more accurate representation of the hotel and a better experience for future guests.

UUtente ospiteIl check-in è stato un brivido che inizia dal check-in online per ridurre al minimo il tempo di attesa e il tempo di trattamento.
Era freddo fuori e la stanza era bella e calda.
La stanza era anche molto grande e pulita.
L'unico e più grande svantaggio è che non c'è porta al bagno. Non capisco perché l'hotel non ha porta a bagno per una stanza di condivisione quadrata. Per peggiorare le cose c’era uno specchio che si trovava davanti all’ingresso del bagno, il che significava che se ci fossero persone sedute sul letto guardando lo specchio, potrebbero avere una visione completa di quello che sta succedendo nel bagno. Non ha senso.
Prenota se sei confortevole con un bagno aperto.

UUtente ospiteWe had a good night's rest at this hotel. It has a great location and new rooms with a good floor plan. This hotel was within 100 m of the Kreuzkirche Dresden so we were able to start our exploration of Dresden as soon as we got parked. The hotel's location is within 15 minutes walking distance of most of Dresden's main attractions that are south of the river and the good public transit in Dresden makes the city very easy to see lots.
The room was nicely appointed with blackout curtains, a chair that transforms into a bed, a desk with a chair, large TV, coffee/tea station and some good lighting. The only complaint we had about the room was that the air conditioning was not strong enough during our stay but we had a pretty good night's sleep at this quiet hotel. I thought the bed was comfy and pretty standard to Premier Inn but my wife found the mattress to be too soft for her.
The bathroom was nice and large with plenty of counter space and a large shower stall. There is this purple light you can turn on at night too so you don't disturb your partner which helps because it is a frosted glass door. It is very easy to get hot water in the faucet and shower here. The shower has an all in one body wash and the shower stall is huge compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Europe.
If you use the hotel's covered parking it costs 20 euros a night and there is covered/secured parking that costs 12-20 euros a night. We went with the uncovered parking lot that had a man there 24/7 and it was 12 euros for the night. There is a street right in front of the hotel that has no signage for parking but the front desk told us that if you park there there is a 60 Euro fine if you're caught.
We like breakfast in the morning at hotels we stay at in Europe but we found this one was very pricey. There are bakeries, cafes and even a McDonald's nearby that gave much better value for us.
We felt the location and price for the hotel was perfect for our time in Germany and would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Dresden because there is lots to see in this city.

Un ringraziamento speciale alla governante di Ctrip Zejing. A quel tempo, le informazioni sull'hotel erano errate. Dopo aver ricevuto il feedback, Zejing è partito dal punto di vista del cliente e ha risolto il problema il prima possibile invece di sottrarsi alla responsabilità. Ha anche forti capacità imprenditoriali, non solo promuovendo la risoluzione dei problemi ma anche mantenendosi informato durante il processo. Trasforma un evento negativo in un vantaggio. Ctrip è la tua prima scelta quando esci in futuro

The location is great. Affordable places to eat and a Rewe are very close. The building is located in a quite backyard. You can sleep like a baby in the wild heart of the Neustadt and you can easily go to bars and dancing locations or have a drink at their own bar in the same building. Across the street you can dance at the „Ostpol“, Glühwein and beer gardens, designers and tons of art are just around the corner. I recommend leaving the tram at the „Bischofsweg“ station. There is also a Café at that corner where you can get gluten-free pancakes 😍

SSmithOne of our favourite hotels we’ve ever visited. We loved the style of the hotel and the incredibly friendly reception, who provided us with an amazing suite for the duration of our stay! 10/10 would recommend for anyone considering a stay in Dresden. While it is not completely central, it is well connected with the tram and Dresden Mitte nearby and only a 10 minute walk to the Altstadt.

La stanza è ben attrezzata, la cucina è completamente attrezzata e c'era un insieme di prodotti di base, che era molto conveniente.
Il bagno è pulito e spazioso. Il letto è comodo.
Non abbiamo avuto abbastanza tempo per i grandi musei che avevamo pianificato, quindi torneremo.
Si raccomanda assolutamente.

Posizione, non può essere meglio, affrontando la chiesa, ottenere una visione completa della strada, soprattutto al mattino quando le strade sono ancora tranquille e vuote. Tutti gli evidenti sono a piedi di distanza. Molte opzioni di ristoranti nella zona;
L'appartamento è pulito e ben mantenuto, e tutto quello che serve è trovato nella stanza. Adatto anche per viaggi familiari con bambini. L'abbiamo trovato molto comodo nella stanza, e abbiamo dormito molto bene. Una volta chiusa la finestra, non vi disturberà il suono esterno.
La città è molto bella, siamo molto felici di aver trascorso una notte qui in un posto così grande.
