Hotel So Marais

This hotel is not terrible but disappointing in so many ways. They put us in their ground floor room : room 001. The only source of ventilation is the patio door to a tiny space that has no view or anywhere to sit. We certainly had no use for it. The patio door got stuck one night and we were offered an alternative room for one night while they fixed the patio door. The temporary room they put us in was on the second floor, to get to the second floor, you have to climb, narrow windy stairs. This would be a nightmare for anyone with mobility issues. This temporary room was much nicer than our room, had windows and the shower and toilet were separate. Our room was far too warm, although the heating wasn’t on, bear in mind we came in November! There is a tiny shelf with a safe, iron, hair dryer and a few hangers), not even a table to put your stuff on. So we had to live out of our suitcase on the floor. The ‘walk in’ bathroom is a pain, the shower and toilet are not separated, so when you have a shower, the whole room floods with water and they give you one tiny towel to dry the floor with, then the floor also becomes dangerously slippery.The sink was insanely tiny and had black mould, I asked them to clean it, but it was still there. The bed is relatively comfortable, however they only give you one tiny flat pillow! The bed has no headboard, and on either side they have these lights dangling from the ceiling which we kept banging our head against! The hotel has no concierge / reception, there’s someone sitting in the front with a laptop (she was lovely), but you mainly communicate with the hotel over WhatsApp. I’ll end on some positives : 1. The location is very good,2. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and we got fresh towels every day, 3. It was quiet at night 4. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on our last day 5. The shower itself was great, 6. When we raised complaints, they were very responsive and tried to fix the issue, so it meets the bare minimum. Would I stay here again, No!!

Hotel idéalement situé, propre et confortable. Accès par code et n’avons croisé personne, ce qui n’est pas gênant. Consigne à bagage au sous sol avec pièce « type vestiaire » mais attention payante ( 2€ par ouverture de porte) la pièce n’est pas restituée donc s’assurer que tout bien ok avant la fermeture. Ce serait bien d’être informé que la consigne est payante même si le prix est très faible. Accès libre au sous sol à thé café snack ce qui est un plus. Avions une chambre au rdc en face de l’entrée, très agréable mais entendions tout, les entrées et sorties, discussion devant la porte etc… je recommande l’hôtel et y retournerons avec plaisir. Ps: juste en face le Chartron , bistrot parisien sympathique où nous allon régulièrement lors de nos séjours parisiens.

Très bien placé ! En revanche jamais vu la personne à la réception ! Pas de bouilloire pour une tisane et lavabo chambre 1 vraiment trop petit et pas de prise pour rasoir dans la salle de bain !!!!

It's a small hotel, no staff present. The woman cleaning was super friendly and helpful. There's no elevator and really narrow stairs so we had to help an elderly couple with their bags. There's room downstairs with lockers that the guests can use but it said private on the way down so we didn't realize that until it was too late. Good location and functional hotel.

Labeled a Hotel in *******: THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. I booked this hotel after booking numerous other hotels and thought that since it was named a hotel it would have basic features like a front desk and an elevator. I have stayed in Paris multiple times in different hotels and sometimes the elevators are small, but they all had them. Hotels have staff to check you in and have basic amenities. This is an Air B and B basically with no one to assist in person, only What's App. I used to live in Europe and have what's app, but people from other areas of the world may not have it and would not receive communications potentially (maybe they would use another method...). We arrived after a long trip and had multiple large bags only to learn there is NO ELEVATOR!! I rechecked the details and at the bottom in small print not said there was not elevators. THIS SHOULD BE STATED AT THE TOP OF THE DETAILS AND MAD CLEAR. NOT HAPPY. The room's were clean and modern, but VERY SMALL WITH NO LIVING/COMMON AREA, ONLY A VERY SMALL HALLWAY LINKING TWO BEDROOMS AND A BATHROOM. All other hotels (actual hotels) had a common space including a desk to sit together. Each person had to go to their own room alone or crowd around a bed in the small rooms to be together.

The Hotel needed to share honest information. No elevator, very narrow stairs, and a lack of a hotel agent always being present. I would not stay in the hotel again.

Acceuil super, Notre hôte au petit soin, Chambre, literie, propreté... rien à dire parfaits, Hôtel tres agréable ont si s'en bien. Je recommande.
