Oslob: hotel a 2 stelle

This was possibly the best 2 star hotel I've been to, I'd say more of a 2.5. It's small and basic, certainly not fancy (it's a 2 star) but it looks like it was nicely renovated. I had a room on the 3rd floor, which might be a bit nicer. I asked for a room with a good bathroom and they seemed to think the 3rd floor was better than the 2nd. The bathroom was small but nicely tiled. The water pressure wasn't great, but adequate. It was clean, clean, clean. The sheets were very soft and some of the best I've had even counting 5 star hotels. The sheets were a bit tattered, but again it is a 2-star. Oh, and it has A/C which was a nice bonus. The air deflects into the bathroom so close the bathroom door for max cooling. I had the room facing the street with a balcony so likely the best room in the house. I booked it because I can walk to the whale shark spot from there, just 450m. Also check out the bbq place next door. Great chicken quarter for 80 pesos and rice for 10. Also very nice and gave helpful info about the bus and whale sharks.

Non dire che mi hanno servito un pasto rincaldato una volta. È disgustoso! * I mosquiti sono in tutto il posto. Non sanno nemmeno come affrontare questo problema. Quindi, portate solo un po'di lozione di repelente insetto. Ho già condiviso queste feedback al proprietario/gestore, ma non credo che stiano facendo alcuna azione in questo senso. Dopo qualche visita, vedrete le stesse questioni.

It’s a nice place to stay for a few nights. It’s very unique with it’s Japanese garden type aesthetic with a bar area. There’s even a pan in the middle where you can experience a hot bath like you are being cooked. The staff here are really helpful and really dedicated to making your experience lovely. Plus they have a cute, hardworking staff member there so that’s always a plus! 👍 The area is also close the whale shark tourist attraction and Tumalong falls by car (about 10-15 minutes). If you don’t have a car, the staff will help you plan a tour which includes getting transportation for those tourist areas. The room was decent. Booked a double bedroom on the 2nd floor and it was really nice looking. Also they do have fair room service food pricing and they cook it fresh. Really loved the quiet atmosphere of this lounge, especially at night were it had a gorgeous view. Pros - Fair pricing for the type of room and experience you get - Close to the whale shark and waterfall attractions - Staff can help you book tours if you didn’t plan ahead - Quiet and relaxing outside with a Japanese garden aesthetic - Rooms have AC and hot water - Staff are very helpful and will attend to your every need Cons - The Wi-fi is pretty spotty depending on which room you book, especially on the rooms on the 2nd floor. Sometimes it would find the wi-fi network and then immediately then can’t find it. 1st floor rooms seem to be more consistent with wi-fi compared to the 2nd floor, but some of the 1st floor rooms have a communal bathroom and shower (kind of like US colleges) There is probably a dead zone in the first rooms of the 2nd floor. Getting a stronger/additional wifi extender/receiver probably can fix this - I don’t if it’s just the room I booked, but there were only 3 channels on the tv cable and none of them were watchable. It was kind of surreal since I never seen a lodge with that limited of a cable selection, so don’t plan to be watching cable here when you stay. The good news is that none of the tv ports are blocked off so you can technically connect a HDMI cable if you have one to the tv and hook up an external device like your laptop or Apple TV and watch tv that way. Despite these flaws, I really enjoyed the 1 and half days that I stayed there. It was a place where you can truly relax and meditate after you visit the tourist areas. The wifi issue and the cable issue really didn’t bother me much since this is place you would usually stay for about 1-2 days max to see the attractions and then leave.

Abbiamo trascorso quattro notti qui per nuotare con gli squali (due), il personale è eccezionalmente utile. Il nostro colazione era pieno e la nostra camera era meravigliosa. Molto comoda grande letto, cuscino, foglie erano tutte molto invitanti per un buon sonno. A/C, TV via cavo e Fridge sono stati apprezzati tutti. Acqua calda istantanea per doccia. La migliore posizione in un quartiere e amichevole.

Mentre le persone che lavorano al 'resort' erano davvero molto carine, il posto stesso non era. L'intero posto sembra essere in una condizione piuttosto svantaggiata con anestetici minimi. Camere per 1-2 persone sono molto piccole (ma ok per dormire) , La mia camera non aveva una ricezione WiFi (ho dovuto andare in una zona da pranzo vicino alla piscina per ottenere qualsiasi segnale, quindi nessuna privacy), la piscina era bella e l'acqua era chiara, ma le lati erano leggermente verdi con alghe. Perciò ci sono molti jeepko per andare in giro molto conveniente, un bel centro commerciale relativamente vicino, e non si poteva chiedere a un ospite più gentile, più bello, più utile!
