Nice lil apartment style rooms Walking distance from downtown and the tallgrass prairie is a few mins drive away.

It was very unique. Spacious with an electric fireplace and a small kitchen.
Great value.
Cons. A bit hard to access our room.
Noisy heater. Ended up going out to car to get a quilt and then turning off the heater.

Not as pictured at ALL! I think they staged the room, at least suite 4. Bought stuff hung and decorated, photographed and then stripped the room and refurnished with crap from thrift store garbage bin. All that was left was nails on the walls. No hair dryer snd never responded to my contact. My socks were filthy! Towels stained. Kitchen sink had no enamel left. Woke to a stained and spotted ceiling from a past leakage problem. If I could upload pics I would.

Stayed here once before and would stay a third time. We could not figure out why the cable was not working. I called the number and the guy who answered was very friendly and funny. Walked us through with no problem. Place is clean, quiet, and have always had a good stay.

Unsafe for older people.. not ADA compliant. It was a good thing my daughter was with me to help me get to my room and step into and out of the bathroom….. STEP UP! Otherwise , we love the quaintness of the room , it was clean and nicely decorated!

I was traveling alone for business. I was aware that this was a check yourself in hotel, but not to this extent. I called beforehand to ensure my safety and was told that only "sometimes" do people accidently get your key that is NOT in a locked space and the door to this space does NOT have a key code or any security. Anyone could access the area hotel attendee or anyone off the street.
The door lock was very outdated and looked like it was broken into at one point. I felt very insecure and unsafe and if anything happened to me there was no one around at all. I called the host and stated that I felt unsafe and the security measures were not correctly portrayed. I told him that I was staying somewhere else and all he stated was, "Okay, I'll tell the housekeeper" I did not receive a refund.

I liked that it was walking distance (2 blocks) from the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. The hotel was no-frills, which I didn’t mind, but the bathroom was small and I would have to jiggle the handle to get the toilet to flush. The lamp by the bed was very dim. The staff was very nice.

We enjoyed the historic and quirky feel of the place. Pawhuska has an interesting history, as does the hotel.

We selected this hotel, because of the proximity to the Mercantile, and for its value. We knew before we arrived the type of place that we booked. The nostalgia of the place is great, but I do think some simple updates could be made without compromising the nostalgia. For example, the floors need to be finished and re-painted and patched in places where the concrete is broken. An investment in new mattresses for the beds would be a great improvement. The driveway that leads up the hill and out behind the hotel is in desperate need of repair. it seems it would be an easy thing to fix. It is full of potholes. Otherwise, our short stay was fine with no issues.
