We had some extreme highs and exteme lows here. It was a shame as when you arrive you see an opulent calm oasis but the reception male staff is where the hotel becomes questionable whether I would stay here again. On arrival checking in the duty manager Deepak did not greet me, say hello, or utter anything apart from ”passport”. He then ignored me, any of my questions and was completely ignoring me duirng the check in process and frankly is the most unprofessional embaressing and disrespectiful experiences in working and competing in over 40 different countries. I lost my cool and told him what I thought and how unprofessional her was. At this point one of the female receptionists and guest relations lady came over and took over and ”saved the day” as I was about to walk out. The men were absolutely dreadful on the front desk and did nothing asked of them including sending an iron with no ironing board - this was NOT house keepings fault. I dont now whether this is a situation of men dealing with a professional woman but I honestly have never experienced this at any of the hotels in India I have stayed in during work trips. The big advice is - only deal with the womenon reception, yuo absolutely wasting your time dealing with the men - this is NOT the case anywhere else in the hotel and I am also making a complaint about Deepak as this is not acceptable at so called international hotel ANYWAY the rooms are fabulous - they are huge, the beds really comfortable, clean and housekeeping are brilliant and helped with a number of things during our stay. The same for the fitness centre although the pictures of the fitness centre are very misleading. They only have a couple of CV machines, dumbells up to 20kg, a bench, a benchpress bench, around 80kg of weight and thats it, the pictures show a lot more and as we both compete intnernationally this was an issue. THE MAJOR PLUS - THE RESTAURANT The restauruant under the guidance of Manav who is also the traiing manager was absolute 5 star. The ability to not be seen and then appear out of nowhere with whatever it was you thought you might need! I cant speak highly enough of this young ***, the same goes for 2 of the restaurant staff, Nidhi and Manisha. The food is outstanding and so are the staff at explaining some of the dishes. They do an a la carte menu but also the buffet and you absolutely get more than you pay for. We have worked in South India, not north before so the extra explanation of some of the dishes was fabulous. The same for breakfast and the paratha and the omlettes! There is a line of shops and a mall at the side fo the hotel to pick up any bits yuo need and some pharmacies as well plus barbers and then there is a super mall about 10 minutes walk away which includes a Marks and Spencers. So location is great - especially if you realise you didnt have enough undies or needed and extra white shirt for work. Im torn whether I would stay again - I dont know. The reception iss
