Hotel con vista sulle montagne a Kandy

Misty Hills Villa Kad thabhairtawa offre la vista più incredibile sulle montagne locali, il miglior piacere se si sta prendendo un pozzo di raffreddamento nella piscina (piccola, ma perfettamente posizionata) infinite! Il personale dell'hotel ha servito bellissimi colazioni, ha organizzato due pranzi per noi e ha prenotato un tuk tuk per un viaggio di giorno a Kandy. Mi hanno sorpreso anche con un bellissimo biscotto al mio compleanno e mi hanno cantato! I punti più piccoli che vorrei fare sono che i pasti non sono effettivamente cucinati sul sito - e che il personale non ha offerto di pulire o riparare la nostra camera durante il nostro 3 notti di soggiorno. Tuttavia, è stato dimostrato molto gentilezza e caldezza nei nostri confronti e ci piaceva la posizione rurale della proprietà.

Very clean and beautiful hotel located atop the mountain. We had a gorgeous view of Kandy! Food was delicious and service was excellent. The staff were very attentive to our needs. The hotel is about 10 min from city center not too far. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kandy!

The Good The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture. The Bad The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The Ugly Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort. Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides.

The Hotel locationis excellent. its on hill and views are amazing. Food was good only issue we had was during checkout when no one was available to get the luggage from room . Its 2nd floor with no lift.

Very pretty and nice resort with mountain view. Friendly staffs and super super nice breakfast. However, it is too fat away from Kandy city center, you have to pay 1500+ rp for each ride, and most tuk tuk drivers don't prefer to go to this place. The google map shows wrong way and the team knew about this, but informed us just on the day of arrival, making this journey even harder.

A Hidden Gem – Perfect Honeymoon or Quiet Getaway This place is truly a hidden gem. It was the perfect spot for a honeymoon couple or anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway. Travel tip: From Colombo, you can catch a direct bus to Nuwalapitiya. We didn’t know this and went via Kandy, which made the journey longer than necessary. If we had known, we would have taken the direct bus—it’s much easier. Ps:The bus ride is phenomenal—very beautiful views along the way and very cheap. The property is located on a hill and is naturally beautiful, surrounded by trees and birds whose songs make the atmosphere even more serene. It does get a bit cold at night, but it was the perfect kind of chilly—cozy and refreshing. Our room had an amazing view, making it even more special. The stay itself was perfect for our honeymoon: very cozy, comfortable, and clean. The staff were amazing, especially one gentleman at the restaurant (I didn’t catch his name, but I want to mention him). He went above and beyond to help us and was incredibly sweet and warm-hearted—it really made our stay special. A small note: we noticed the pool looked a bit dirty, which some other reviews also mentioned. However, it was clarified in the pool area that they use natural spring water without chemicals, so this is expected and actually a great eco-friendly approach. But This hotel needs some love because this is a very nice place. Another small note: there were some insects, like cockroaches, but that’s expected when staying on a hill in the middle of nature surrounded by trees. Overall, this was a truly wonderful experience and a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!!

Il tempo di soggiorno è stato molto piacevole, e non potevo essere più impressionato dal livello di servizio e ospitezza che abbiamo ricevuto. I proprietari e i dipendenti di questo hotel sono così, così bello. Purtroppo il loro hotel non è. Mi sento quasi catturato, come molte delle foto hanno sottolineato l'atmosfera del bar e della piscina. Non è stato il caso - la piscina era una dimensione decente ma nell'ombra e non ho visto nessuno in essa. Le colpi di balneazione che ho molto sospettato non sono forse una vera fonte. Lo stesso vale per il bar, che è enorme e a cui partecipano molti giovani e noiosi gentiluomini, quando entrambi ho fatto il salto (una volta per cena) ero l'unico patrono. Ancora nessuna atmosfera di festa o persino persone - che è vergognoso come è un grande luogo. Fortunatamente, la porta accanto era un altro luogo per alcuni cocktail e musica decente che salvavano un po' la stanchezza. La camera da letto era una dimensione decente con un piccolo frigo (ma non ha funzionato), la camera da letto era piccola, si sentiva sporca, senza sapone a mano o sapone per la doccia (a parte gli occupanti precedenti - e questo era grosso). La pressione era scarsa, rendendo difficile la doccia e c'era un panno sul pavimento da qualche danno - non pulito. Il letto era enorme e confortevole con aria condizionata e un fan dormiva bene. Infine, e ripeto, il personale era bellissimo. Molto ospite e la posizione è a circa dieci minuti a piedi dal Sacro Tesoro e il Lago Kandy. Così grande posizione. Vorrei restare ancora lì - no. Vorrei salutare i proprietari e la porta accanto per un cocktail - forse!
