As a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast. We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings. Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient! If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. This resort retreat boasts beautiful natural surroundings. All staff are warm and attentive, delivering great service. We received thoughtful small gifts upon check-out after sharing the feedback regarding our 3 nights stay. The shuttle service staff recommended most convenient route to Sang Gu Old Street, which was incredibly helpful. A few room details for the improvement: the entry spotlight was not working since our arrival and never fixed during our 3 -night stay, slight odour from the toilet, and some cracks can be seen on the interior walls above the bedside which is a concern regarding the safety. Noisy could be heard frequently as nearby the pantry, sound insulation is not good. In addition, the L'Occitane pump bottles are inconvenient to use due to their packaging design. Hope the hotel can carry out regular maintenance. Overall a pleasant stay.

The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. Based on my recent two-night stay, the Metropolo Hotel Wuyishan Sangu Holiday Resort is an excellent choice for exploring the area. The location is truly great, with easy access via the public bus right outside. Our room was impressively spacious and very clean. A special mention must go to their staffs, who were super nice and incredibly attentive to all my requests. The breakfast offered a great variety and quality to start each day. I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Wuyishan.
