Hotel in zona Roca Eterna, Montevideo

The hotel staff is great. The rooms are huge but need renovation. My bath tube had problems with water drainage. Taking a shower while the water reached my ankle. Not pleasant. The breakfast is fair enough. But had another issue. I asked for a fried egg and the waitress denied. “No more eggs”. A few minutes later a local guest asked and got it on a plate. As I questioned the double standard there was no understandable answer. Sad experience. At night the street are very dark around the hotel and there are plenty homeless people.

La colazione è stata buona. L'ingresso all'hotel è molto bella le camere sono buone per il prezzo anche se nel bagno c'era odore di piscia. Hanno avuto molti errori nelle prenotazioni. Abbiamo prenotato con un mese di anticipo, confermato per telefono prima di arrivare, tutto è venuto perfetto, fino a quando non siamo arrivati e non hanno lasciato entrare mio marito e i miei figli. Non ero ancora all'hotel, ma avevo già avvertito che chi aveva fatto la prenotazione era arrivato un po' in ritardo. Sia le e-mail che le chiamate precedenti non hanno servito a nulla, perché non ero la persona che mi ha dato la risposta, si vede che ci sono poche comunicazioni tra le persone che lavorano lì. Quando si lamentavano, la palla passava tra loro. Poi abbiamo ottenuto che ci fossero state date la stanza e si è verificato che quando entravano 3 giocatori di football, che anche loro avevano avuto successo, avevano trovato qualcuno nella stanza. Ci hanno dato un altro ma invece di tre , doppio. Abbiamo dormito male, perché eravamo quattro in due letti, dopo un viaggio di 14 ore, ma nessuno ci ha dato una spiegazione o una soluzione.

La posizione è perfetta, se si viaggia in autobus e fuori Montevideo. E a 50$ per notte è un negozio. Altrimenti prova a rimanere altrove. L'hotel non è un 4* in ogni modo. Nessuno parla una parola di inglese (lo parlo in spagnolo rotto, ancora difficile), la custodia non si è mai presentata. Ho controllato un giorno prima e, sebbene ho inviato una richiesta ufficiale di prenotazione e chiesto alla ricezione, hanno preso tutto il valore.

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it

The hotel is beautiful. As soon as you get inside you are greeted by the receptionists, who are extremely friendly and polite with everyone. As you get in the room, using your card, you can see the bathroom to the left and the TV and beds at the end of the hallway. Next to the bed, there's a small kitchen and a table, just in case you want to cook something there instead of going out. The cleaning crew wasn't very punctual, we never knew at what time they were coming to clean the room and they would always forget to restock the toilet paper or the towels but after a few complaints everything was solved and it never happened again. Apart from that, the rest of our experience staying there was amazing!

La stanza che ci hanno dato era sul secondo piano, e la finestra era diretta a una macchina a aria condizionata centrale (suppongo che sia). È una grande macchina, una vista terribile, ma anche un rumore terribile. La spegnino alle 6:30 e la spegnino alle 8:30. Se vuoi dormire in essa è impossibile, o se vuoi prendere un po' di pisolino in pomeriggio, anche impossibile. Oltre a che c'è una porta nella stanza, alla stanza successiva, è chiaramente chiusa, ma si può sentire tutto dal vostro quartiere. La vasca è buona, le tovaglie sono buone e pulite. Ma quando si fa una doccia, il pavimento si bagna, anche con la scatola chiusa, probabilmente è un po'fugata. Abbiamo chiamato la ricezione e la risposta era che dovevano chiamare un tecnico per ripararlo, e hanno risolto la questione, ma il giorno dopo era di nuovo rotto. Fortunatamente il tempo non era così freddo, e fu possibile lasciare la finestra aperta, ma abbiamo dovuto affrontare il rumore che veniva dall’esterno; abbiamo chiesto di cambiare una stanza migliore non appena arrivammo. Ma il ricevitore ha detto che l'hotel era pieno, e che il giorno dopo avrebbero una stanza gratuita, in una categoria superiore, ma era necessario pagare la differenza per l'aggiornamento. Abbiamo detto che abbiamo il vantaggio dell'oro da hoteis.com, e questo aggiornamento sarebbe gratuito per noi. Non appena abbiamo parlato del vantaggio, ci hanno detto che dobbiamo aspettare il giorno dopo e vedere se la stanza sarebbe ancora disponibile, ma, naturalmente, non era più gratuita. Anche se la posizione dell'hotel è buona, non ci piacerebbe più stare lì.

L'hotel è incredibilmente pulito e sembra di nuovo (è in realtà 1.5 anni). La camera (camere 510 e 410) è stata spaziosa, pulita e decorata molto bene. La pressione dell'acqua di doccia è stata incredibile e i letti sono molto comodi! Ma la parte migliore di questo hotel è il personale! Ho prenotato 2 camere per 2 notti separate e Andres al desk front rendeva facile e ci ha tenuti nella stessa stanza. Vanessa, Maximillian e il signore che lavorava con Andres stasera hanno fatto una visita a Punta del Este che non era possibile, possibile. Grazie a tutti per il vostro aiuto! Non cercherò mai un altro hotel per il mio prossimo soggiorno a Montevideo. Rimango solo all'Hotel Costanero! Hanno andato sopra e oltre e la posizione sulla spiaggia è perfetta! RACCOMANDO IL

Hospedamo-nos no Pocitos Plaza. Hotel EXCELENTE! Atendimento excepcional e hotel muito aconchegante e com serviço sem reclamações. Café da manhã muito gostoso, destacando o suco de laranja. E à tarde, servem um delicioso café da tarde. Funcionários muito bem educados e solícitos. Indico, tranquilamente!

Awful service - this hotel is not worthy of even 1 star. Their staff are not trained properly and ruined our stay in Montevideo, don’t waste your money here there are plenty of better and cheaper hotels available. 1) The hotel lost our booking and blamed it on us, making us wait 30 mins at reception at 10pm at night for our room 2) The window in our room was broken, we informed them in the morning and when we came back to the hotel that evening we were informed we couldn’t open the window and it was slightly fixed but they would fix it tomorrow (no offer of compensation or apology) 3. The reception staff repeatedly ignored our phone calls when we were trying to clarify the room bill (I called at 15 min intervals for 1 hour so it was obvious they weren’t picking up our room) - never in all the hotels I have stayed at around the world have reception staff repeatedly ignored a room call, it is the worst service possible 4. They tried to charge us more than was originally agreed for our room at checkout and nearly made us miss our flight I have stayed in hotels all across South America and this was the worst service I have ever received - do yourself a favour and save the headache of the poorly trained staff and book another hotel.
