Hotel in zona Peace Column, Montevideo

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it

L'hotel è incredibilmente pulito e sembra di nuovo (è in realtà 1.5 anni). La camera (camere 510 e 410) è stata spaziosa, pulita e decorata molto bene. La pressione dell'acqua di doccia è stata incredibile e i letti sono molto comodi! Ma la parte migliore di questo hotel è il personale! Ho prenotato 2 camere per 2 notti separate e Andres al desk front rendeva facile e ci ha tenuti nella stessa stanza. Vanessa, Maximillian e il signore che lavorava con Andres stasera hanno fatto una visita a Punta del Este che non era possibile, possibile. Grazie a tutti per il vostro aiuto! Non cercherò mai un altro hotel per il mio prossimo soggiorno a Montevideo. Rimango solo all'Hotel Costanero! Hanno andato sopra e oltre e la posizione sulla spiaggia è perfetta! RACCOMANDO IL

Hotel in ottima posizione e con ottima infrastruttura. Caffè mattina molto buono, così come la pulizia della camera, servizio di cameriera e la cura dei dipendenti. A proposito, vale la pena ospitare il London Palace per la prestazione dei suoi collaboratori che vanno dai servizi della reception fino alla educata signora che la notte ha riscaldato la mia cena. A questo aggiunto, il fatto che il garage è nel proprio hotel e abbiamo accesso alla macchina in modo.rapido e facile, anche all'arrivo che possiamo già mettere direttamente nel garage e fare il check-in. L'hotel è stato molto deluso per me e mia moglie. Guardando le foto e le recensioni precedenti, ho davvero pensato che saremmo rimasti in un grande hotel, ma la realtà era diversa. Abbiamo prenotato una stanza standard, le foto non mostrano quanto sono piccole. La stanza che ci hanno dato era sul secondo piano, e la finestra era diretta a una macchina a aria condizionata centrale (suppongo che sia). È una grande macchina, una vista terribile, ma anche un rumore terribile. La spegnino alle 6:30 e la spegnino alle 8:30. Se vuoi dormire in essa è impossibile, o se vuoi prendere un po' di pisolino in pomeriggio, anche impossibile. Oltre a che c'è una porta nella stanza, alla stanza successiva, è chiaramente chiusa, ma si può sentire tutto dal vostro quartiere. La vasca è buona, le tovaglie sono buone e pulite. Ma quando si fa una doccia, il pavimento si bagna, anche con la scatola chiusa, probabilmente è un po'fugata. Abbiamo chiamato la ricezione e la risposta era che dovevano chiamare un tecnico per ripararlo, e hanno risolto la questione, ma il giorno dopo era di nuovo rotto. Fortunatamente il tempo non era così freddo, e fu possibile lasciare la finestra aperta, ma abbiamo dovuto affrontare il rumore che veniva dall’esterno; abbiamo chiesto di cambiare una stanza migliore non appena arrivammo. Ma il ricevitore ha detto che l'hotel era pieno, e che il giorno dopo avrebbero una stanza gratuita, in una categoria superiore, ma era necessario pagare la differenza per l'aggiornamento. Abbiamo detto che abbiamo il vantaggio dell'oro da hoteis.com, e questo aggiornamento sarebbe gratuito per noi. Non appena abbiamo parlato del vantaggio, ci hanno detto che dobbiamo aspettare il giorno dopo e vedere se la stanza sarebbe ancora disponibile, ma, naturalmente, non era più gratuita. This hotel is ideally located to walk to the central (shopping) and old historic parts of the city. It is also a short walk from the coastal ”rambla”cycle and promenade. Reasonably priced restaurant / bar and breakfast service - comes with 22% discount if you pay with a non-Uruguayan credit card (as do all restaurant in Uruguay). We had nice big room on an upper floor with views over the Rio de la Plata and the sunset (but only top floor rooms have balcony - you can access the rooftop terrace but there is not much there other than the view). Reception very helpful in organizing visits, taxis and bike hire (these are available on site). Only slight criticism was location of air conditioning in large rooms meant we didn't benefit from it in the sleeping area and, during a very hot spell, this was a problem. Would recommend staying here.

I stayed at The Radisson in Montevideo for four nights while visiting a friend. First of all, the fourth night was needed at the last minute and altering the booking online could not have been easier. The hotel was the perfect location to explore the city as it is situated on the Plaza Independencia which is at the bottom of the main high street and at the top of the old town. My room, which was a superior double, had a great cityscape view, was clean and had everything I could need - ironing board, hair dryer, safe. The bed was large and comfortable and housekeeping was great each day. Most importantly for me, the air conditioning was efficient and effective - I even used it to pop in at lunchtime to cool off for an hour during a particularly hot day. I enjoyed breakfast on the top floor of the hotel with a great selection of food and breathtaking views. I had a couple of swims in the full-size pool which was carefully divided for families, adults and serious swimmers. The staff were attentive, obliging and (I am embarrassed to write) had great English to compensate my limited Spanish. The concierge gave me directions and got me taxis when I needed them and the outside security made me feel perfectly safe. All in all a great hotel I would recommend.

Overall, I did enjoy my stay at Palladium. The location is amazing; close to a bunch of nice restaurants, 5 minutes away from a big shopping centre (which includes ATMs and supermarkets) and by the beach. I stayed in a double room, it was basic but comfortable and nice; it had a little fridge and the bathroom was very comfortable. My only criticism to the room was that there was only one armchair (in a double room), so if we were having a drink, one of us had to sit on the bed. The lobby was comfy and the staff at reception were very helpful. Breakfast was not too bad, but it was a bit disappointing. Despite the minor negative points, I would go back.

Awful service - this hotel is not worthy of even 1 star. Their staff are not trained properly and ruined our stay in Montevideo, don’t waste your money here there are plenty of better and cheaper hotels available. 1) The hotel lost our booking and blamed it on us, making us wait 30 mins at reception at 10pm at night for our room 2) The window in our room was broken, we informed them in the morning and when we came back to the hotel that evening we were informed we couldn’t open the window and it was slightly fixed but they would fix it tomorrow (no offer of compensation or apology) 3. The reception staff repeatedly ignored our phone calls when we were trying to clarify the room bill (I called at 15 min intervals for 1 hour so it was obvious they weren’t picking up our room) - never in all the hotels I have stayed at around the world have reception staff repeatedly ignored a room call, it is the worst service possible 4. They tried to charge us more than was originally agreed for our room at checkout and nearly made us miss our flight I have stayed in hotels all across South America and this was the worst service I have ever received - do yourself a favour and save the headache of the poorly trained staff and book another hotel.

The property was very conveniently located. It had a beautiful old-style, wrought iron elevator and a small but nice rooftop patio. The room also had some nice old-timey touches like the crown molding. The bathroom was a good size (compared to others we encountered on our SA adventures) and the shower had excellent water pressure. The receptionist who greeted us provided a map and lots of helpful advice about sights nearby. My friend enjoyed the coffee available near reception each morning. BUT, while beautiful, the elevator was ultimately very slow and sometimes didn't come at all. The furniture in the room showed some wear. While it fit with the antique-y theme, I probably would have removed some of it at that stage of dilapidation. Our room's bathroom when we arrived wasn't fully clean (there was hair on the floor and in the shower), and the waste basket's pedal opening mechanism was broken so it was awkward to use. We removed the wastebasket's top to make it easier for us (and hoping the whole thing would be replaced by housekeeping) but they just set the top back on (broken) in its inconvenient state again. And not the hotel's fault, but the entire 1.5 days we were visiting, one couple monopolized the rooftop deck - they and their belongings were spread out there every time we checked - so we didn't feel like we were welcome to use it.

Excellent treatment and service makes you feel like at home! The sommelier Guillermo Jackson is world class! And for breakfast or lunch, a special mention for Ángel, waiting all tables with the same nice attention. And strategic location by all means in the city of Montevideo. Food is outstanding,..
