Hotel in zona Calistenia & Street Workout Park, Montevideo

The hotel staff is great. The rooms are huge but need renovation. My bath tube had problems with water drainage. Taking a shower while the water reached my ankle. Not pleasant. The breakfast is fair enough. But had another issue. I asked for a fried egg and the waitress denied. “No more eggs”. A few minutes later a local guest asked and got it on a plate. As I questioned the double standard there was no understandable answer. Sad experience. At night the street are very dark around the hotel and there are plenty homeless people.

I stayed at The Radisson in Montevideo for four nights while visiting a friend. First of all, the fourth night was needed at the last minute and altering the booking online could not have been easier. The hotel was the perfect location to explore the city as it is situated on the Plaza Independencia which is at the bottom of the main high street and at the top of the old town. My room, which was a superior double, had a great cityscape view, was clean and had everything I could need - ironing board, hair dryer, safe. The bed was large and comfortable and housekeeping was great each day. Most importantly for me, the air conditioning was efficient and effective - I even used it to pop in at lunchtime to cool off for an hour during a particularly hot day. I enjoyed breakfast on the top floor of the hotel with a great selection of food and breathtaking views. I had a couple of swims in the full-size pool which was carefully divided for families, adults and serious swimmers. The staff were attentive, obliging and (I am embarrassed to write) had great English to compensate my limited Spanish. The concierge gave me directions and got me taxis when I needed them and the outside security made me feel perfectly safe. All in all a great hotel I would recommend.

L'hotel è incredibilmente pulito e sembra di nuovo (è in realtà 1.5 anni). La camera (camere 510 e 410) è stata spaziosa, pulita e decorata molto bene. La pressione dell'acqua di doccia è stata incredibile e i letti sono molto comodi! Ma la parte migliore di questo hotel è il personale! Ho prenotato 2 camere per 2 notti separate e Andres al desk front rendeva facile e ci ha tenuti nella stessa stanza. Vanessa, Maximillian e il signore che lavorava con Andres stasera hanno fatto una visita a Punta del Este che non era possibile, possibile. Grazie a tutti per il vostro aiuto! Non cercherò mai un altro hotel per il mio prossimo soggiorno a Montevideo. Rimango solo all'Hotel Costanero! Hanno andato sopra e oltre e la posizione sulla spiaggia è perfetta! RACCOMANDO IL

This hotel is ideally located to walk to the central (shopping) and old historic parts of the city. It is also a short walk from the coastal ”rambla”cycle and promenade. Reasonably priced restaurant / bar and breakfast service - comes with 22% discount if you pay with a non-Uruguayan credit card (as do all restaurant in Uruguay). We had nice big room on an upper floor with views over the Rio de la Plata and the sunset (but only top floor rooms have balcony - you can access the rooftop terrace but there is not much there other than the view). Reception very helpful in organizing visits, taxis and bike hire (these are available on site). Only slight criticism was location of air conditioning in large rooms meant we didn't benefit from it in the sleeping area and, during a very hot spell, this was a problem. Would recommend staying here.

La posizione è perfetta, se si viaggia in autobus e fuori Montevideo. E a 50$ per notte è un negozio. Altrimenti prova a rimanere altrove. L'hotel non è un 4* in ogni modo. Nessuno parla una parola di inglese (lo parlo in spagnolo rotto, ancora difficile), la custodia non si è mai presentata. Ho controllato un giorno prima e, sebbene ho inviato una richiesta ufficiale di prenotazione e chiesto alla ricezione, hanno preso tutto il valore.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti in questo hotel insieme ai nostri 2 bambini. Ci aspettavamo che fosse un hotel d'affari con comfort e un po' di lusso. Almeno pulizia. Beh, non era. Potrebbe essere un hotel di 4 stelle per gli standard dell'Uruguay, ma per il resto del mondo è più come un hotel di 2 stelle, di moda 60. Avevamo una camera familiare (2 camere da letto) sul 7° piano. Abbiamo già uscito dall'ascensore sapevamo cosa potevamo aspettarci. Piastrelle con vecchi tessuti e piene di tinture brutte. L'intero piano puzza di vecchio fumo e un po' come vecchia sigaretta. Veramente brutto. La stanza stessa è simile. Vecchio piano con mattoni e bordi rotti. Veramente sobrio e senza invito, nessun decorazione, niente luci. Non ci sono vecchi mobili. Non ci sono tende solo uno schermo. Una grande dellusione in realtà. Non era disponibile lo sportello. Abbiamo guardato, ma avrei anche osato usare quelle vecchie macchine. Certamente quando si considera il prezzo per notte questo posto non vale la pena. Quindi dopo una notte ci aspettava un colazione con un certo tipo di standard di business. Ma anche il colazione è una grande delusione e in realtà abbastanza sgustoso. Non so cosa aggiungeranno all'uovo scrambled, ma odore strano. I frutti sono fuori di data e brutti. pane secco. uovo scrambled freddo. E a causa della cova non è consentito entrare nel cibo da solo. Una persona (a volte 2) aiuta tutti nell'hotel, quindi non ha funzionato. Il giorno 3 tutti i nostri biglietti di ingresso improvvisamente non hanno funzionato più, ovviamente risolto alla reception, ma ancora annoiante e strano. Almeno il wifi gratuito ha funzionato bene qui. In generale, consiglio di prenotare un posto diverso con un standard più elevato, NH è un po' deluso considerando il prezzo per notte.

Bom custo x beneficio. Hotel antigo, mas organizado e limpo. Oferece estacionamento e limpeza diária dos quartos. Café da manhã simples, mas pelo preço está dentro do esperado. Localização ótima, andamos tranquilamente pelo centro em todos os horários. Recepcionistas simpáticos e prestativos.

Ho soggiornato 3 mesi al Pocitos Plaza Hotel, quindi la mia esperienza è molto ampia riguardo al servizio che offrono. Era la mia seconda volta, dal momento che sono andato con mia figlia nel 2018. E 'un ottimo posto in servizio, qualità e attenzione molto gentile al cliente, da prendere taxi quando piove molto e è ora di picco di traffico, fino a aiutarmi a pesare la valigia quando non potevo caricare da sola. Il servizio è efficiente e attento, con un sorriso gentile sempre, anche se tutti sono ben occupati tutto il tempo. Lavoro online, e Internet è stato stabile e sicuro, un altro fattore importante. Specialmente apprezza il professionalis**o dell'amministrazione, con Gervasio, Federico, Fernando, Martina (sempre prendendo mate), Diego e il favoloso Fabian, la gentilezza in persona! Tutte le mucche molto utili, ma il migliore per preparare e pulire la stanza è stata Cecilia, che spero veda la prossima volta che tornerà a Montevideo. Il tè della sera è sempre stato eccellente, con vari te e dolci da masticare. Una menzione speciale al sorriso di Lucia in cucina. Grazie Pocitos Plaza Hotel!!! Li mancherò quando tornerò a Toronto.

I hope that this hotel understands that needs a major update/renovation Our suites were fine in the sixteen floor with great views My room had the furniture jaded with stains Only one phone out of two that usually have I spent the whole stay with the phone not working (the policy we will make it right did not happen) I had to use my personal phone to contact my partner My TV had the volume super low Had to call two times and was finally fixed Both remote controls with wasted batteries We had breakfast included but we gave up after the first day The staff looks like tired upset to be there The quality of pastries as croissants and breads are super lame No spoons for your coffee The excused using the COVID but saw coffee spoons in room service lame cold cuts cold eggs and uncooked bacon I asked the girl in the stand to cook it well and it was returned in the same way raw pork us unhealthy (policy to make it right did not exist) The front desk staff is great but the seating area is a shame with old and stained seats This is a great property but a renovation is needed and the restaurant needs new staff and Chef

The hotel is beautiful. As soon as you get inside you are greeted by the receptionists, who are extremely friendly and polite with everyone. As you get in the room, using your card, you can see the bathroom to the left and the TV and beds at the end of the hallway. Next to the bed, there's a small kitchen and a table, just in case you want to cook something there instead of going out. The cleaning crew wasn't very punctual, we never knew at what time they were coming to clean the room and they would always forget to restock the toilet paper or the towels but after a few complaints everything was solved and it never happened again. Apart from that, the rest of our experience staying there was amazing!
