I am really very disappointed with my last stay in Movenpick Sousse. I can't find a word that describes this terrible experience and I will simply list the problems that I had to go through: - During the check in, I had to go through the queue 3 times. Since the room was not ready, the lady told me that she will bring me the room access card once available so I will not need to got through the queue again, and of course she did not. I went twice through the long queue for almost 30 min in order to get the room card -I booked a King bed room and they gave me a twin bed room. The lady in the reception did not accept to change the room and she told the will change the mattress to a big single one over the two twin bed and of course she did not -The towels are dirty and stinky -The sink is clogged - The TV is not working - We kept the do not disturb sign in the room during our stay because my wife got sick but this was not respecting by the house keeping and the maintenance agent. They entered the room without our permission - Their excuse is that they received an order form their manager !! -In the restaurant and during the diner, I asked the waiter for a cutlery (because you almost never find a prepared table in the restaurant) - The waiter pointed his finger to another table and told me to get it by myself !!! I am still shocked by this impolite answer !! I still cannot understand how this kind of unpleasant events can happen in this hotel and all together during one stay. If my wife wasn't sick, I would have left the hotel since day one. In short, this is a half start hotel

Sono rimasto qui per rilassarmi per qualche settimana. Il Marriot è un hotel meraviglioso, tutto era buono circa la vacanza. Ci sono solo poche cose che hanno lasciato l'hotel giù. Il divertimento era una chiave molto bassa alla notte e poteva essere migliorato. Anche questa scelta se l'hotel non è grande per le persone. Non molto vivace e non abbastanza per andare in notte ho dovuto andare fuori dall'hotel alcune sera sono stato in Tunisia molte volte negli anni. Mi aspettavo di più dall'hotel.

La reception dell'hotel è molto buona. Ci hanno aiutato a migliorare la camera. La vista sul mare è bellissima. Questo è l'hotel più conveniente in Tunisia. La colazione è molto ricca. È stato costruito di recente e le strutture sono molto nuovo.

Qualità del servizio di ristorazione e posizione dell'hotel

Sono stata in questo hotel a luglio 2023 per 15gg, hotel 4 stelle accogliente con un mare meraviglioso, spiaggia con lettini, materassino e ombrellone di paglia sempre disponibili. Tutto lo staff gentilissimo e disponibile. Una nota di merito va' al cibo: succhi di melone e anguria freschi a colazione è stata una cosa graditissima, pesci vari come merluzzo, tonno, pesce spada, orate cotti alla piastra o fritti. Una sera hanno organizzato una cena meravigliosa all'aperto con barbecue e tanta accortezza al servizio e all'esposizione...sembrava un matrimonio. Quella sera avrei voluto fare i complimenti alla direzione ...ve li faccio ora. Bravissimi. Le stanze sarebbero da rimodernare, i cuscini da rivedere (troppo troppo alti e scomodi) e letti troppo duri. In ultimo vorrei aggiungere che la mattina della partenza ho dimenticato un kindle sul letto che è stato trovato e messo da parte con la promessa della direzione di spedirlo appena possibile. È passato un mese e non ho ricevuto ancora nulla e neanche mi rispondono alle email. Aspetto fiduciosa anche perché mi sono ovviamente offerta di pagare le spese di spedizione e sarebbe antipatico perdersi per questa sciocchezza.

Considerato il rapporto qualità prezzo non è male. Ottima la vista mare. Mezz'ora per la registrazione del ceck in mi sembra esagerato . Pasti abbondanti. Wifi funziona bene. Per i canali TV ci vuole un tecnico per sintonizzarli, io non ci sono riuscito

Normalmente scrivo solo recensioni riguardanti luoghi altamente consigliati o da evitare. Fortunatamente l'Hotel Paris Sousse rientra nella prima categoria. Non sono un ”bakpacker” e quando viaggio ho la fortuna di poter soggiornare in una varietà di posti da $ 40 a $ 400 dollari a notte. Questo ostello/piccolo hotel rientra nella fascia di prezzo più bassa e si trova all'interno ma ai margini della medina, rendendolo in una posizione ideale per visitare la città vecchia e quella nuova. Le camere sono molto piccole ma pulite, con acqua calda e letti comodi. C'è un ristorante molto carino annesso (Restaurant du Peuple) che è aperto per colazione e pranzo. Nel complesso un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo.

The hotel itself is a bit tired but the staff really are what makes it. They are attentive and jolly (one member of the bar staff was miserable the whole duration - might be in the wrong profession?!). The food is acceptable. It lacks seasoning and flavour but it does of course need to cater to as many palettes as possible. If you like flavour, take your own condiments (I hesrd the ketchup was rubbish but didn't try it perdonslly). The food is also a bit repetitive largely consisting of grilled meat (beef, turkey, quail) and fish, stewed lamb, chicken and beef, potatoes (mashed, sautéed), chips/fries, grilled vegetables (courgettes, carrots, squash, tomatoes, okra), pasta and pizza, soup. There was also a variety of different salads and bread (which always seemed stale to me). At breakfast there is no bacon! There are omelettes, fried and poached eggs cooked to order. The omelettes were delicious. There was also grilled vegetables, beans (not the baked beans us Brits know and love), grilled frankfurters, pancakes, pastries, fruit, yoghurt and museli, fresh juice and tea and coffees. Our waiter, Salah, was great. He kept us topped up with drinks and made sure we had everything we needed. He was always smiling and welcoming when he saw us head over to the tables and it made us feel like special guests to receive his superb service. The rooms are spacious, but despite requesting a double garden view room we were given a room overlooking the car park and two single beds pushed together. The pillows were not comfortable - a bit too hard and thick for me. Plenty of storage space but very few hangers. A wash and ironing service can be provided at additional cost. Tea and coffee making facilities are available but we didn't make use. The tea wasn't great so take your own teabags. The bathroom is huge, equipped with a bath and shower overhead. the shower was always warm but not high pressured, though did a good enough job for washing my hair and rinsing out sand, shampoo etc. Our bath didn't drain well and took a while so no showers in quick succession. The hairdryer in the bathroom is terrible - I never managed to fully dry my hair with it. Do take your own. There is a vanity table and mirror in the room but I found the lighting at night too dark to do my makeup. the bathroom was better lit. Drinks are ok. Beer is a 3% local and red wine a 13% local drop. The white wine tastes like vinegar so we avoided that after the first glass or two. Cocktails are strong but very sweet. They have Coca Cola and other local soft drinks poured from bottles so can be a little flat. All drinks are served in tiny glasses/paper cups, some people had taken their own (pint) glass out with them and the bar staff did fill them. The entertainment wasn't our cup of tea - karaoke, quiz, live music, drag show. unfortunately it was too chilly to sit outside so we were confined to drinking in the lobby where the entertainment was on, so we were largely subjected to

If you need some cooking facilities, this place is very minimal. No microwave, no cooking utensils, small frig, no dish soap,sponge,etc. Only 2 of everything- 2 dishes,2 glasses, 2 forks, etc. Burners and oven may not all run at the same time (they can fix it though I think). Otherwise its a hotel room which is fine if that's all you need. Close to the beach and on the marina so nice location. Compare prices with other apartments in the marina. A close by one was 20 DN per night less for virtually the same thing. We didn't do our homework. It is more quiet at this end of the marina however that maybe that's worth 20 DN a night!
