This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent. It’s only 11 minutes from the airport and located near the center of Mahon and the port. There aren’t any beaches in this immediate location so you’ll either need a car, taxi, or excursion to get to beaches if that’s what you’re looking for. If it’s the only thing you’re looking for, stay in another town where beaches are in walking distance. I’d hate for the area to get a bad review because assumptions were made. It’s got it’s own charm and it should be appreciated. Check-in was easy. Don’t fret when you see the sign to enter the reception area. It says hostal, but the reception area is for both the hostal of the building you walk into and the separate hotel rooms you’ll stay in in another building. Our room was on the first floor. It was a good size, clean, with simple decorations. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure strong, and the hot water was HOT. You shouldn’t have an issue relaxing here and getting a good night’s rest. The breakfast was very good and we loved the B&B feel. You had someone serving you breakfast, coffee, etc. It added a nice personal touch. The room was made daily and they did a phenomenal job. There was no safe in the room, but the area is extremely safe and there are cameras in the lobby area. The area is picturesque. Part of its charm is getting lost in the narrow streets and I advise you do. Menorca sticks to its Spanish roots and traditions so expect it to be very quiet after lunch. Some stores and restaurants even close until dinner time which is pretty late (8:00pm). This was the case when we arrived, but it did give us plenty opportunity for pictures without battling tourists for a “good spot”, lol. There isn’t a “nightlife” here in the traditional sense. Your best bet would be near the boardwalk. You’ll want to stay in another town for that which we were told is the “party area”, but after being in Menorca for a few days we learned the island itself is much slower paced and traditional. We appreciated that since we came from Barcelona where it’s much more crowded and busy. Lastly, parking would’ve been tough and we didn’t rent a car. Having a car would’ve probably made things a little easier and cheaper. We had to go to Fornells which is 25 minutes away for our excursion departures. At the time of writing, it was about 35 euros for a trip there and another 30-35 for the trip back. You can make the decision on if you’d benefit from a car, but for us being here a few days it didn’t make the most sense. All in all, I’d highly recommend this hotel and ended up enjoying the location, slow pace, and relaxing vibes.

Ci siamo sentiti davvero i benvenuti nel castello di Rafael e Anna. Camera piccola ma pulita e dotata di tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno. Solo il box doccia era molto stretto, ma ci siamo semplicemente adattati. Asciugamani freschi e pulizia della camera tutti i giorni. Ho apprezzato la cucina di Anna 2 volte. Menu semplice ma di buon gusto

This was a really lovely small hotel. It is very close to the centre of Cuitadella old town, which meant that it was close to some excellent restuarants, including our favourite Moriarty. The staff at the hotel were exceptional - every member of staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from the waitress at breakfast, the reception staff and the cleaners. Our room, I have to say was basic but it had a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Plenty of coat hangers, a safe and a fridge and although there was no kettle there was one for general use in the lounge area by reception. Complimentary water by the glass was also available from a dispenser by reception. The swimming pool as gorgeous. Very clean and a good size for swimming lengths and towels can be obtained from reception. Lovely seating area around the pool as well with sun beds and also relaxing sofas and chairs. Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, fruit, breads and pastries, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and bacon. Coffee from the machine was excellent. Wifi was also excellent and for those who want it there were English TV channels available. A/C also worked well.

La posizione è molto bella, sulle strade aperte e sulle passi strette ma molto vicino alla strada principale. Il personale era molto gentile e utile e paziente con noi, anche se non potevamo parlare la lingua giusta. le camere sono spaziose e eccellentemente tempestose e esteticamente piacevoli. hanno una zona comune con tetto aperto dove si può starguardare in estate Notte.

Siamo stati qui una settimana e quindi abbiamo potuto apprezzare i molti vantaggi di questa struttura : vicinanza al centro, rapporto qualità/prezzo molto buono, stanza confortevole (letto comodo,abbiamo preso quella al primo piano con terrazzino), tranquillità, colazione self-service molto buona al prezzo di € 8 a persona con molta varietà tra salato (prosciutto crudo cotto salami formaggi) , dolce, frutta fresca, secca, succhi, yogurth, cappuccino caffè ecc. Non è la solita colazione ripetitiva perchè la parte dolce aveva variazioni tutti i giorni. Menzione particolare al personale: Valeria, Gabriele, Paola SUPER gentili, disponibili a dispensare consigli e lingua italiana fluente. Complimenti e da prenotare senza alcun dubbio.

Complesso sul bordo della strada che conduce a ciutadella offre appartamenti e piscina. Un snack esegui una ristorazione media per mezzogiorno. Les appartements proposés sont soit au rez de chaussée (avec une terrasse) soit au premier étage (avec un balcone). Privilegez l’étage pour éviter les bruits au-dessus de votre tête. L’mobilement est d’époque et les menuiseries d’un autre temps. Il colazione servito sopra la piscina è con prodotti di qualità inferiore. Il pane è servito a discrezione, come le bevande calde. Il rapporto qualità prezzo non è soddisfacente a 127€ con le colazioni per due persone e senza tassa di soggiorno.
