Hotel in zona Notre Dame Auxiliatrice, Mauritius

From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was enveloped in a sense of warmth and hospitality that carried throughout my entire stay. The staff, with their unwavering attention to detail and genuine care, made me feel not just as a guest, but as a part of the family. I post my reviews on Friday attitude by mistake I wanted to thank alot of person during my stay but i'll some of the name i remember below but note that all the staff was wonderful but i can't remember all of them. I wanted to thank the person who gifted the cake when i booked my stay Here my graduate to some staff Raj Sanju Ram Adarsh or Adesh Vimal Arvin Zaheen[ she is a wonderful human being] Vikram Dmitri [ kitchen staff] Yuvan [ he is the best] The chef.... There are other who i don't know the name. Best staff ever among all hotels i have been

The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points. The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself. Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.

L'hotel è bellissimo con piscina e zona di pranzo freddo. Il colazione servito era delizioso ogni giorno. Il personale era molto amichevole e bello. Ha sempre sorriso sul viso. Troverete mercato, ristoranti a piedi. La stanza era molto pulita ogni giorno. Il parcheggio è disponibile per almeno 6 auto. Il doccia non era al punto della marca, non era regolabile. La camera aveva un letto singolo per rendere il letto di dimensioni ragazze non una cosa adatta per un paio di persone.

Un bel posto. Anche se non nel centro, è facile camminare sulla spiaggia o prendere l'autobus. Una scelta veramente buona per un buon riposo. L'equipaggio di gestione è davvero amichevole e utile. Mantengono il posto in forma superiore. La pulizia e la modifica delle foglie e degli asciugamani vengono effettuate poche volte alla settimana.

My daughter and I were at the hotel from the 27th April to the 2nd May . The welcome was great but I don't drink ice tea and no alternatives were provided . I was disappointed that there was no complimentary water available in the room. I would highly recommend that you take your own water, snacks and alcohol as we found it quite pricy. The room was spacious with a stunning view , the beach is literally a few steps away. The staff at the water sports centre were very friendly and respectful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Try parasailing it was exhilarating! The food could be more spicy , the curries were bland and needed a kick. The marlin carpaccio was absolutely delicious . I was really impressed that I could get almond milk for my morning coffee:-) . The best part of our stay was meeting Urvi who coordinates the entertainment, she is friendly and makes everyone feel like an extended family. She was very professional and friendly and gave us the best time ever. We thoroughly enjoyed dancing and our music tastes were well accommodated. Urvi has the potential to lead , she is young, dynamic and driven- her passion for what she does was highly evident.
