Riad El Farah Kasbah

Riad muy básico. Fuimos en pareja y quedamos MUY DESCONTENTOS. 1. Te cobra unas tasas (32€), las cuáles en la reserva no aparecen, al contrario, me aparecen pagadas en mi reserva online. 2. La habitación no tiene ni jabón para manos. 3. En 4 días no cambiaron las toallas. 4. El desayuno es de 9 a 10h. Sólo pudimos desayunar un día de 4, sin opción a ser antes o para llevar. Muy muy escaso! Panes, mermelada, mantequilla y termo con café y leche. 5. A pesar de tener aire acondicionado no deja utilizarlo, porque la luz está cara. Por las noches hacía mucho frío, y no nos dejó enchufarlo ni para ducharnos. Cogimos un mando del aire de recepción, y lo encendimos un día, esa noche bajó los plomos para que no pudiéramos utilizarlo. Lo hablamos con él, y terminamos discutiendo. 6. Cuidado! Excursiones, traslados a aeropuerto... El doble de caro que en otros sitios. Nos pedía por llevarnos al aeropuerto 25€. El taxi nos cobró 10€. En general, mal trato y sensación de propietario avaro y provechoso.

This is by far the worst accommodation that we stayed in, we would give a Zero if we could. The host is rude and unwelcoming. He charged us for the internet and gave it to the next group for free. The rooms are very uninviting and cannot be locked. Given the vibes in this place that made us really uncomfortable and feel unsafe. Combine that with no heating (at least you don't get control over it), no hot water, and no bath supplies. Half of the building is collapsed. Definitely look for another accommodation, there are plenty of choices in Marrakesh.

Visited Marrakech with my partner and stayed in this lovely little Riad. Overall, the Riad is basic, but it does the job and you pay for what you get. Room was basic, and quite dark, but had enough to make your stay comfortable. It was cleaned daily and kept in a good condition. My only criticism was the heating is controlled by the owner who only puts it on for a few hours in the evening, so this did lead to the room being quite cold at times. Breakfast, was again basic with it being moroccan bread with butter and jam served with coffee. I do have to say the Riad owner Mohamed was excellent throughout our stay. He gave us a tour of the local area on arrival and gave us plenty of tips and advice on how to stay out of trouble with the tourist traps you find in Marrakesh. We also went on a day trip with him to the Atlas Mountains, which was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended. Another great part of this Riad was it's location with it being only a 15 minute walk to the main Medina and less than 15 minutes from the airport. And plenty of shops, restaurants, attractions, ATMs etc, all within a reasonable walking distance. But do bear in mind, the Riad is tucked away in a maze of alleyways, so you will get lost at some point. And it is around a 10 minute walk to the closest pick up for taxis/airport transfers. But that's the Marrakesh experience for you! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who happy with with a basic but comfortable accommodation.
