Hotel vicini a Odalys a Madrid

I've stayed in quite a few hotels in the Spanish capital over the course of several decades. Each of those hotels was just fine, and some were better than ”fine.” But I never returned to any of them for a second time--I always sought something ”better.” I knew I had found that ”better place” a year ago, the moment the glass doors parted at Calle Orfila, #6, to reveal the elegant lobby of the Hotel Orfila, which would become my Madrid ”home away from home.” Last year's stay was perfect and I am now ensconced here for the second time--a 5-night stay-- that has proved to be even more pleasurable than the first. Hotel Orfila is an intimate family-run hotel that has been honored, for obvious reasons, with the prestigious Relais & Chateaux designation. Rooms are lovely renditions of Old World style, furnished with antiques and exquisite textiles--wallpaper, carpets, upholstery on the comfortable sofas and chairs dotting the room. Rear-facing rooms overlook the gorgeous garden where guests can dine or relax under a delicate hand-painted mural. In all the nights I've spent here, I've yet to hear ANY outdoor noise. Beds are so comfortable I wish I could tuck one in my suitcase and position its in my Manhattan bedroom. Embroidered soft white sheets of impeccable quality, velvet blackout curtains, linen and cotton toweling and robes.....all of the plush amenities one would expect in a 5-star Grand Luxe hotel contribute to the ambience. There is nothing lacking!! And if there is something you need, staff will magically make it appear within what seems like seconds--extra towels, extra Nespresso pods, even assistance with packing purchases for the plane, or for express delivery overseas.... Last year when I found my suitcase could not accommodate one more items, the delightful Bellboy, Frank, took it upon himself to provide a carton, bubble wrap, and tape, and the front desk, manned by the kind and efficient Bruce, arranged delivery to the US by fast courier at a most reasonable cost. To Frank, to Bruce, to ”Heathcliff,” and to Axel--at front of house, and to Yunes and Laura in the breakfast restaurant, and the others whose names I neglect to mention here, you have my heartfelt thanks for a most memorable stay at the Orfila. And speaking of breakfast: The vast buffet consisting of impeccable sourced regional foods, from fruits to cheeses to meats and smoked fish, complimented by artisanal breads and pastries and my personal favorites: Migas and Tortilla Espanola, almost eliminates the need for eating later in the day. But if you prefer a made-to order hot breakfast: Eggs Benedict, omelettes, oatmeal--just about any food you can imagine, just say the word. The coffee is excellent and it's lovely to begin the day with a flute of Cava! The hotel restaurant is under the helm of two-star Michelin Chef Mario Sandoval, and there is a lovely and intimate bar that offers a cozy space for a nightcap or snack. Special thanks to Manager A

Questo è un bell'hotel moderno. È facile da raggiungere dalla metropolitana e dall'aeroporto. È a soli 30 minuti di metropolitana dal centro di Madrid dall'hotel. La camera era bella, l'unico problema era che i cuscini erano un po' sottili e la finestra era difficile da tenere aperta a meno che non ci si incastrasse qualcosa, ma sono solo problemi molto minori e sono stato felice di restare qui di nuovo.

Abbiamo scelto la king deluxe ed è stata un'ottima scelta. L'arredamento è minimal e moderno in stile industriale ma alla stanza non manca nulla. Abbiamo fatto colazione ogni mattina ed è sufficientemente varia ed abbondante. L'aperitivo consumato in terrazza davvero con una bellissima atmosfera. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per la gestione della struttura

Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

Ho soggiornato 3 giorni in questo hotel con la mia famiglia , abbiamo avuto una una camera al 5 piano con vista sui tetti della città ,e un’altra con la vista all’interno . La posizione dell’hotel è super centrale proprio a 10 min dal palazzo reale e altrettanti 10 minuti a piedi dai principali musei ( thyssen bormiza e il prado ) . Il personale dell’hotel è giovane e super qualificato . Sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni esigenza . Le camere sono grandi tecnologiche e ben accessoriate . C’è anche una profumazione x ambiente in regalo x l’ospite dell’hotel . Il bagno è nuovo in marmo nero e cristallo con una bella doccia spaziosa che si accende con il bottone . La colazione all’interno del ristorante Omar è buonissima , servita a la carte con pane e cornetti farti in casa espressi . Consiglierei questo hotel e questa tipologia di catena perché offre un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo , e un servizio impeccabile .

Il trasporto è comodo e tranquillo nel serbatoio.La stanza è semplice, pulita, il tipo di colazione è ricco, ma i piatti di colazione non cambiano per quattro giorni consecutivi.

La verità è che è il luogo più piccolo in cui ho soggiornato nella mia vita. L'unica cosa positiva è la posizione, ma niente di più. Non c'è una ricezione e tutto è al telefono. Devi fare un controllo online e ti arrivano alcune chiavi per entrare. Nel mio caso, la chiave della scatola era sbagliata e mi toccava chiamare di nuovo. Ero in una stanza individuale con bagno privato e ero molto piccola. Ero sporco, mi spostai il capo per caricare il cellulare e ero sul pavimento pieno di sporco. Non ci sono mantelli e si fa freddo. Non ci sono persiani e alle 7 non si può più dormire a buon gusto. Il gel - non c'era champagne - era in una grande barca sul pavimento della doccia che usa tutto Cristo. A Madrid ci sono centinaia di opzioni migliori e il prezzo non è nemmeno economico, è più, sale costoso per quello che offrono.

L’ostello si trova in una posizione perfetta a pochi passi dalla centralissima stazione Sol. La posizione ci ha consentito di girare tutto il centro di Madrid senza dover mai prendere un mezzo. Si arriva a Sol comodamente dall’aeroporto con un solo cambio. Personale sorridente e super gentile. La camera familiare era perfetta per le nostre esigenze: moderna, pulita e rifatta ogni giorno. Finestre super insonorizzate non si percepisce il minimo rumore dall’esterno. Meno insonorizzate le porte interne che sbattono un po’. Abbiamo comunque riposato benissimo. Cassetta di sicurezza in camera con cauzione. Non abbiamo provato il bar ma sembrava un ambiente confortevole ed accogliente. Insomma: nulla da invidiare ai migliori hotel, ci torneremo!

Ho avuto un vero problema. Non sono riuscito a ottenere i biglietti che avevo appena acquistato da un'app molto difficile ed erano tutti in spagnolo, Ainhoa, l'addetta alla reception notturna, è stata così gentile e simpatica che ha passato ore ad assistermi e a scaricarli sul suo telefono e poi a inoltrarli per me. Quando i primi tentativi con questa difficile app sono falliti, mi ha detto di andare di sopra e mi avrebbe chiamato. Quando ancora non funzionava, ha chiamato l'operatore dell'app, ha spiegato il problema e se ne è occupata. Le ci vollero ore e fortunatamente nessun altro aveva bisogno della sua assistenza a quella tarda notte. È andata davvero oltre il dovere o ogni ragionevole sforzo per aiutare, ma ha insistito sul fatto che l'avrebbe fatto per me. Per quanto riguarda il posto, è oltre ogni aspettativa. L'appartamento con una camera da letto è molto grande. Il soggiorno con fagioli a vista su stucchi bianchi e soffitti a cattedrale si apre attraverso tre porte francesi sulla terrazza con ampi posti a sedere e mobili da pranzo che potrebbero ospitare una festa per 50 persone. La cucina è deliziosa e il bagno è molto grande e tutto è dotato di aria condizionata e moderno. Il letto matrimoniale è molto confortevole e l'appartamento viene pulito ogni tre giorni. Oltre a tutto ciò, la posizione è imbattibile. Tutto questo costa meno di una camera d'albergo sul lato della strada in una catena media negli Stati Uniti. Do 5 stelle al costo di 2 stelle! È un'ottima scelta per il tuo soggiorno a Madrid.
