When you travel you expect to be treated fairly and justly. This hotel did not. It started off ok but it was hot when we were there and there was no air conditioning in our room. Our room was on the street side and we either had to open a window and listen to loud noise or sweat. They did give me a broken fan and the next day when I complained they said that I should have asked for a better fan. BUT they knew the fan was defective as previous guests had stuffed paper into the neck to try to get the fan to stay upright. The staff said they would call the police to stop the noise after 10 but you cannot call enough police to hold down a crowd of noisy people. The staff promised me a better room the next day but then changed their mind (after I complained to **********) telling me that since I purchased a reduced fare through a discount site, that I would not get a better room. I decided to move to a better hotel since there were many in the area. Then the hotel would not give me a refund. I am out $275 SO here is my suggestion. There are many hotels in the area a lot better with a lot better customer service. Find a better one. Next, never book a hotel that does not say specifically that they will give a refund. Next, never pay at the hotel, pay through **********. Next, if you book through a discount site, make sure the hotel has air conditioning in ALL rooms or you will get the worst room in the house. Residence con reception h24 che non è male. L'appartamento che avevamo noi (2 adulti e un ragazzino) aveva un soggiorno sala da pranzo con divano letto e angolo cottura, una camera matrimoniale e un bagno. Il tutto abbastanza ben organizzato negli spazi e nelle dotazioni. Letti comodi, anche se il matrimoniale era alla francese, quindi un po' stretto. Essendo su un'altura la vista era effettivamente notevole. Ma purtroppo i punti forti finiscono qui. All'arrivo il riscaldamento non funzionava, e anche se il personale ha fatto intervenire un tecnico, la prima notte la casa era oggettivamente fredda. Bagno piccolo, con il necessario per la toilette neanche al minimo sindacale, non c'era nemmeno il sapone, solo il doccia shampoo. Nessuna presa di corrente, nemmeno per un rasoio. In cucina, per la quale viene richiesta la pulizia finale, non c'era nemmeno uno strofinaccio o una spugnetta per lavare. La posizione, per quanto interessante per la vista, è davvero scomoda. La salita per raggiungere il residence non è alla portata di tutti, e secondo me andrebbe segnalata. Colazione a pagamento, di qualità media. Da segnalare che ci è stata offerta per una mattina, a compensazione del disagio provocato dal riscaldamento non funzionante.

La struttura era bellissima, con arredi nuovi e con uno stile tutto suo. Ogni luogo era curato e pulito. Le aree comuni erano fornite di ogni cosa possibile e anche in cucina c’erano alimenti “free”. Ci si sente veramente a casa propria in un ambiente ospitale e amichevole. Posizione centralissima con la metto sotto casa. Siamo stati benissimo, torneremo sicuramente.

Really comfortable private rooms and lovely and welcoming staff. Also amazing food in the restaurant. Loved my stay here, the staff and great vibe made me feel at home. I stayed one night in a private room which was great. I also stayed one night in a shared room which was not so great but that has more to do with me not feeling comfortable in a shared room and I would not do that again. Really recommend staying in a private room here if you’re in Lyon!

Questa è la seconda volta che ho soggiornato al Grand Hotel des Terreaux. L'hotel è in una posizione centrale a Lyon, e mi piace lo stile. Il servizio era eccellente, parlano inglese, e mi piaceva il buffet per colazione. La camera che ho soggiornato era molto bella, ma sul lato più piccolo, tipica per le camere d'albergo in Francia. Il letto era molto comodo per me, e la camera aveva un aria condizionata grande, perché può essere molto calda in Francia. L'accesso senza fili è stato incluso, e veloce e affidabile. In generale, un ottimo hotel posso consigliarlo molto.
